    Hi Everyone! Today, in honor of Earth Day 2022, Steph proves (contrary to popular belief) that it's the fairly easy being green! 😁 I don't much care for green inks myself, but Steph's Top 5 Green Inks are so good looking that I will definitely have to try two or three of them myself.
    What do you think of Steph's choices? Did one or more catch your eye? Did Steph miss your favorite green? Let me know in the comments and I'll be sure she gets the message.
    Happy Earth Day, everyone 🌎 and as always, THANK YOU for watching! 😁 #thankyouthankyou

      I don't use green inks a lot either, and I am very picky about them, but the Private Reserve Avocado looks like an ink I would enjoy. The Waka-Uguisu isn't bad either, but a bit too light for my taste. Looking at my own green inks, I am quite fond of Mistletoe from the Diamine Inkvent Calendar 2019, and KWZ Green Gold.

    Montblanc Irish green is great. Also love Pilot Iroshizuku Shin-ryoku (forest green)

    After having run the gamut of blues I am now getting into greens. Thanks for making this video!

    PR “Avocado” was a surprise pleasant discovery to me-and that vat-sized bottle is convenient to use and economical. Right now I have the cheery Robert Oster “Citrus” for my spring correspondence. A happy green.

    I really like Sailor Waka-uguisu. I recently wrote out table place name cards for my Mum's wedding and swatched all my green inks for her- thinking that she would pick Robert Oster River of Fire, but Waka-uguisu won in her eyes! And it was great for the cards, that I wouldn't say were that FP friendly

    I have a lot of green inks. I like all of these except Edelstein Jade (even though I have a bottle of it). It seems kinda weird that you picked a lot of light greens, and no solid green - like Kaweco Palm Green, Mont Blanc Irish Green, or Noodlers Gruene Cactus.

    • @ichirofakename
      @ichirofakename 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gruene Cactus Eel is my standard green, which I bought for the extra lubrication of the Eel series.

    Steph I love your cardigan! If it’s not too personal would you say where you got it? I love green inks and my favorite is Rohrer & Klingner’s Alt-Goldgrun, which probably explains my love of your sweater! 😁

      Hi Jessica! I've just asked Steph and she says she purchased the sweater from Poppy Avenue Boutique. They are local to us here in Appleton, but they do seem to sell on their website, too. Steph adds that the brand of the sweater is: Lush 😁

    Steph and Eric - Thanks for another interesting video. I haven't explored green inks; however, this was a nice introduction. (I forsee more ink samples in my future.) Perhaps, in the future you would consider a video on Teal inks. It would be an interesting companion to the green and turquoise inks. Thanks again..

    Waterman Harmonious green is also close to the Jade in color.

    thanks for the color demos!!!
    After years of using different purples as my primary writing choice, I am switching out to a verdant olive green.
    I think I'll be starting with Robert Oster, Sublime or P.W. Akkerman, Hofkwartier #28
    My green has to have a sunny yellow twinge to it.

    Vert pre (French) = green meadow. Diamine Meadow and Diamine Sherwood Green are also very good.

    Hi, and thanks for the green ink picks. Green is not a favorite color of mine either, but I do enjoy sometime the Pilot Iroshizuku Syo-ro ink, which is a bluish green when wet, and changes to a forest green after it dries; apparently the color is meant to evoke dew drops on pine tree needles. By the way, Waka-uguisu means "young nightingale" in Japanese, and the color of the ink is meant to reflect the color of that bird's feathers. Pink may be my least favorite color, but I am looking forward to the next video to see if Steph's picks will inspire me.

    Do like the Sailor ink but don’t have that particular olive: the one I’ve got is Rohrer&Klingner’s alt goldgrün which I love using as it’s dark enough to be legible but light enough to show great shading my second choice is also a blue/green: don’t have Jade but do absolutely love Pilot Iroshizuku syo-ro, the thing I love about this ink is it’s ability to put down a nice fine line without spreading out: not sure if that’s just down to the dyes in this particular ink as ina-ho (which is another Iroshizuku ink) definitely puts down a noticeably broader line in the same EF nib on my Pilot78g: great spectrum of greens, thanks - please do a blue ink vid next:)

    While these videos are interesting you should show the inks and paper more when you're talking instead of yourselves so it helps better understand and feel what you're actually saying.

    How can these be Steff’s top inks when she keeps saying they surprised her so much? It’s like she was looking at them for the first time. Well…that’s show biz for ya. I was hoping to see Diamine Dark Forest, Mont Blanc Irish Green or Faber-Castell Moss Green. Now THERE are 3 classic and fabulous green inks!

    Could you do Brown inks?

    • @flparkermdpc
      @flparkermdpc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll watch Steph review any ink or men's sweaters. But There aren't a lot of brown inks like Robert Oster has blues, but I think the strongest group of true browns, are from Monteverde which are also relatively inexpensive. They are lubricated inks, too, and that helps if you like fine nibs. Serviceable brown inks appear in the basic inks from Waterman, Mont Blanc, Pelikan, and of course, Akkerman's eponymous SBRE (Steven) Brown. That IS a nice ink, probably made by Diamine for Dr Brown to put in the terrific Akkerman bottles.
