    I have a saddlemen step up on my 2017 Iron 883, made a hell of a difference in comfort for being 6'3. Moved me back and up and is the best seat hands down.
    You'll love it, just give it a chance! It'll get more comfortable. Even the first rides it was comfortable

    Hey Tony, you and I spoke briefly about the Saddlemen step-up when you tried it the first time. After our conversation, I got one and have put about 10k miles on it. I also ride an FLSL and can confirm that once the seat breaks in it's incredibly comfortable. I just rode from Saint Louis to Jacksonville FL and back in one weekend, riding 16hrs in each direction with stops only for gas and snacks. The seat performed really well, with no points of pressure, and no temperature issues. My movement on the bike wasn't restricted, yet under acceleration, the seat kept me in place and supported my lower back. Saddlemen clearly pays attention to details, as my fit and finish were perfect on arrival, and even now there is no sign of wear anywhere on the seat or the portion of the bike the seat contacts.

    Good luck on the seat. The weather has sucked but I think we are about ready to turn the corner soon. I will be in touch so we can meet up for a ride.

    Hey Tony I got a question for you that maybe you can answer. So I recently bought a 2019 Harley Davidson Softail Slim and I wanna buy Vance and Hines twin slash slip on mufflers. When I reading the product information it states it doesn’t come with exhaust gaskets. So I’ve gone through many installation videos with these mufflers and no one ever seems to mention it in the installation process. Do you actually need them? Or are they meant for when your changing the whole exhaust.

    • @TonysGarage
      @TonysGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When I added the Rhinehart slip ons to my slim I did have to buy the exhaust gasket. They are gaskets that mount in the slip ons that seal to the header pipes.

      @@TonysGarage Thank you very much, i just ordered my mufflers and gaskets. Now its just the waiting game. But thank you so much for getting back to me, it means a alot.

    We had visited about the step-up in the past. I have one for my Sport Glide. Love the styling and the comfort. With that said, I recently purchased a Mustang Touring solo with Backrest. I've owned multiple Mustang seats in the past. I purchased the touring seat primarily for the backrest. Unequaled comfort on long distance multi-day rides with a backrest. I had initially considered switching back and forth between the Mustang and the Step-up seat. After a couple hundred miles on the Mustang I'm pretty sure it is staying on full time. The Step-up looks better and is definitely much improved over stock. The Mustang Seat brings comfort to a whole new level. Congrats on the new seat. Looks killer. Take care.

    Your new seat looks great! I went with the Mustang seat for my slim... Mustang also told me that it also needed to break in around 500 miles.. I now have over 10,000 miles on my slim and me & my wife are loving the mustang seat. The longest ride doing two up was over 600 miles in one day and we were both good. And believe me if she’s happy and enjoying the ride you bet I’m definitely having a great ass time!!! Lol Anyways good luck on your new seat and definitely give it that break in time.. Ride safe Bro

    Good lord that color is super good looking. Can’t wait to see the entire bike with the seat one.
    What made you go back to Saddlemen, looks? Or lack of options?
    I got a Mustang Day Tripper solo seat and the thing was rock solid on the first long ride. After about 200 miles, I can already tell it is getting more comfortable.
    I hope it works for you. Looks killer

    Good review on the seats brother, I've been thinking about getting a Saddleman seat, but my seat that is stock is pretty comfortable and the only thing I don't like about it is I gotta get a heated seat because we ride even in colder weather, so maybe before winter gets here, good job brother 💯✌️😎

    • @TonysGarage
      @TonysGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching Ozarks! Seats are tough cause you really don’t know until you do, and the damn things are pricey. Ride safe friend.

      @@TonysGarage yeah that's why I've put it off, I've seen so many reviews on different seats and most of them people would say that they like them or didn't like them so it makes it tough to decide which one I should get, I'm looking at heated seats and they run anywhere from $700 to $ 1200 , the one I have now is very comfortable I just want to get one that has the heat and that's comfortable, I appreciate your review on the seats brother 💯✌️😎

    I'm not a fan of the Sundowner either. Ditched it on my Iron 1200 and tried it out on the Fat Bob. It sucked on the Fat Bob and looked like a big ass platypus. I agree with you about the low quality on the seat build as well. You can really tell the difference when a seat has a plastic pan.

    • @TonysGarage

      Yeah man, that damn thing would just flex and move around the entire time. The quality of Harley seats are really unfortunate.
