Hell yes!! I got the SS slipons for my 2020 Heritage 114 in chrome. Love em'. They sound better the more miles i put on them. I never had an issue with poor performance. Never tuned either

I just traded my 18 Slim for a white fxbbs and I love it! I put some s&s grand national slip ons on it but haven't tuned it yet. My bike seems to run the same as the stock mufflers and my salesman said I shouldn't have to tune it with just slip ons.
I got conflicting answers from two different dealers. The stage one map on the screaming eagle tuner list high flow air cleaner and slip ons that’s what Harley I guess is considering a stage one. My bike definitely ran better after the tune.
I wonder how can Harley win over new buyers when they do stuff like this. If any thing people will become really disgusted with all these nickel and dime shenanigans. #doubtfulfuture

And I was told that I would have to have it mapped of course. But I'm wondering if I need to have it mapped again take out the decibel reducers or cut them down a little

Big fan of S&S. Would love to get the same set up. Do you know if this stage one set-up would work on a 2020 Softail Standard 107 CI ? I also like this set-up because it's much more affordable and reasonable cost vs the full exhaust systems out there. Plus they look really good!!
I asked my local dealership and they said the guarantee gets voided if it doesn’t get a tune, which hasn’t came out yet for the 2021 models…. So I suggest putting it back in stock
You stated in your reply about the S&S air filter you were going to use it stock ? So does the S&S air cleaner come with a external breather tube and a catch can , or does it just vent the oily mist back into the throttle body ? If it does not vent to the outside would you still considered it to be a performance part ? Thanks
It’s a great video Tony, I haven’t started customising my one yet as still running in and parts are very slow here too. In the uk spec bikes we have an O2 sensor actually in the muffler near the back of the pipe so even slip ons I don’t think are about yet. Ride safe mate.

I know people who have run 2-1 exhausts on the 21 street bobs without a tune and no issue. One of my brothers ran just slip ons no tune but once he added the tuner it ran alot better

Hi Tony, as mentioned by Beans earlier the O2 sensor on the UK bike is in the rear of the muffler. Just wondering where it is on the US bikes if not the same?

I have exact same bike...for my Stage 1 I had to go with the SE Pro Street tuner and the SE Street Cannons . The dealer wouldn't let me use any other pipes to keep my warranty because they are a#%$holes. That being said i was quite impressed with the extra power that I got with this set up. By the seat of the pants dyno I would say 10/15 percent more power and torgue. These M8s are really choked off from the factory. So I ended up pretty happy with SE set up.
I wonder what tuner you can use with a full exhaust system. I have a Powervision that was mated to he Sportster that I traded in. I understand that EPA has their dirty fingers on the scale and that “off road use only “ tuners will one are banned. If I had known about the EPA/Harley conspiracy, I would have never traded in my Dyna and Sportster. There has to be a way around the Communists. I hope that you can come up with something. I might just sell my 2020 Softail Standard and just keep my 17 year old Yamaha FZ1.

EPA standards suck, as do noise limits(Yes yes I know I'm a horrible, anti-social human). I have difficulties with words too, nothing helps :D Really nice intro man and that bike is absolutely stunning, sounds tasty now too :)
Hey Tony just bought a 2020 softail standard 107 m8. And purchased cobra mufflers, leaving air cleaner along right now. Will I be ok without a tuner for the time being. Down the road will change intake.
Just taken delivery of a FXBBS in the UK and it has O2 sensors in the mufflers (as well as the headers). Does the US model not come with these, as you don't mention anything about sensors when installing the slip-ons?
I’m curious if this only applies to the street bob? I just put slip ons on my 21 Fat bob and have no issues but the fat bob has the cats in the pipes not on the slip ons
I am having a big problem with pipes, tuners, warranty, etc. for my 2021 Fat Boy. I've spoken with Harley (corporate) and I learn with each conversation. I haven't solved my problem yet, but I'd like to have a conversation with you so that we can share information. You may know something that I don't and visa versa.
The Harley wants all Harley parts. The FP3 has the most options. I prefer the FP3 for its ease of use but it does void your warranty. If you keep the warranty intact your only option is the Harley tuner. It does have a pretty good autotune if you wanna use aftermarket parts.
@@TonysGarage Except Harley installed my pipes (purchased through them) that are not compatble with the Harley tuner. People aren't aware of whats compatable and whats not. Even Harley doesnt know.

Everyone experience will differ, but Harley does recommend a tune with slip ons. I talked to two different dealer one said no the other said yes. So it seems it is up for debate.
My bike stalled with the s&s slash cuts with the baffles inside still with no tune at highway speeds. I got the tune from the dealer and the stalling stopped
I have 3 M8 114s. 2 with high air flow air cleaners, I stock air box. All with aftermarket exhaust with the baffles in, 909 Speedsters, SS, and V/H exhaust, bikes run great, no issues, no decel pop, no hesitation or stuttering. 2020 FXLRS, 2019 Roadking, and 2019 FXDR. I guess the 2021 tuners do not have the range the 2019 and 2020s did. On my 2017 Sporster, I had to download a V/H FP3. That SS intake is smoking hot, looks good on your bike.

Bike looks great! I really like how HD moved all the cat to the mufflers so you can just get slip-ons for more power instead of a full system.

I got your back Percy. Runs a lot better with a tune. My 107 did fine with slip ons and no tune but the 114 was a different story.

The catalytic converter in the 2021 bikes, touring anyway, are in the stock head pipes, not the mufflers.

I remember when I put the S&S slip on my bike would stall on the highway. I got a tune and it stopped stalling at highway speeds.

The screaming eagle will work just require some tuning.

Nothing that is out of the ordinary. I do get a weird noise when I shut the bike off almost like a whine from the cleaner.

With the stock air cleaner on the 107 you will be fine.
I have a 2020fxbb and I cant decide between s&s slash cut or v&h twin slash. Which one is louder or better?
The V&H are definitely louder. The S&S are not nearly as loud but keeps some back pressure which helps with your low end torque.

Yes no problem. The stock air cleaner on a 114 is already high flow only reason to change it is if you want a different look.
