I love how you use your guiding lines and how you always align subjects on the eighth with these guiding lines. The photo of the bird flying in the air with the bridge in the background and the metal points in the water moving the the right hand side of the frame was especially impressive. You got the bird in the top right eighth (damn impressive), horizon on point with the leveled shot, and overall an extremely pleasing and impressive shot. Basically great composition.
Photography is a good percentage about composition A picture will work or it won't. It's just a matter of confidence mainly But if you put two persons on the street together you will notice who is having the edge... One if them will be better or quicker at sighting and shooting... I have been in this situation myself and believe me it can be un nerving. Some people have it ___some do not.
Just bought an SRT101 this afternoon on Ebay and am eagerly awaiting its arrival in the post. Really enjoyed your video and found it really inspiring to get out there and start taking photos .... I'm a complete beginner. Hope you are well amidst the current world crazyness. Kind Regards Russell :-)
Nice concise video. Some really nice shots in that roll. It's really neat to see that your part of the new lab in town, Do Film. Hopefully I'll be able to send a few rolls that way once this period is over
Thanks, I’m hoping to get right back into it, the shop is currently open so if you are out for a exercise walk or an essential film buy come and say hi I’m there every Wednesday and Ev and Oli are there all week 11-6 ;)
Hi Viva La Film .... just came across this video while trying to hear more about Minolta cameras... I recently update to SR505 Malt Black. you can also have a try on Olympus M1 or OM-1 film camera... the shutter sound is really for a fully mechanical camera and the ergonomic is awesome... from Tokyo Japan
Great walk - took me back 40 years (exactly: 👨🏻🦳) same walking territory but using an ME Super (still, too). Totally respect your chosen film, approach and eye for exposure.
Viva La Film ...still shoot! Yes, lots of film again these days: buy/ or get gifted a camera, restore, take shots, develop at home - B&W. Too many cameras so little time...
Caitanya Ballabha das thanks 😊 so kind, I actually shot this in Clog in my phone and then had no idea how to edited properly so it came out all weir like that, I’m glad you like it
so glad you showed the srt 101 some love. I shoot my grandpa's hand-me-down and it's magnificent I feel like it doesn't get enough credit. It will take pictures without batteries! so good.
Hello. Mine's mirror get stuck whenever i shoot and i can't see anything in the viewfinder unless i advance the lever. Does it has an effect on the photos?
No effect on your photos if it is just an oiling of the gears problem but sometimes the reason this happens is the rear curtain is not traveling all the way and this might affect your images, you will have an overexposed part or your negative, I recommend getting the camera CLAd
@@VivaLaFilm thanks man. as per the local technician, the gear responsible for pulling down the mirror is already deteriorated that's why it won't bite. as for the shutter, there is no problem fortunately that is why i can still use the cam, i just have to advance the advance lever to see through the viewfinder
This is a 35mm film camera, it need to be loaded with a 35mm roll or film that ones shot and rewound needs to be processed in chemistry by a film photography lab and then scanned and digitized.
PauL TerL yes one of the toughest lockdowns, starting to ease this Friday, I actually shot this video at the end of last winter and had not been able to edited, I got a few in the pipe lines coming in the next few weeks
@@VivaLaFilm Uh, okay, .... Even here they start to free us up from the 4th of june, and then a bit more from the 18th. Grateful for yoiur replay, Have a great day anyway ! Ciao!
Great photography and energetic video! I love my Minolta SRT-303!

How did you upload the photos from the camera onto your device such as laptop and camera? I can’t find any information on this
This is a 35mm film camera, it need to be loaded with a 35mm roll or film that ones shot and rewound needs to be processed in chemistry by a film photography lab and then scanned and digitized.
th-cam.com/video/Zzn69FPX9XU/w-d-xo.html here is a link to a video that explains it better
There's probably a good reason you can't find that info
¿Vas con un 50mm?
Es un Rokkor 55mm f1.7
Did you shoot the Lomo 800 @ box speed?
Francis Bombus I did but I used SUNY 16 rule for metering as the camera had a stuck meter needle and I eye ball most of the exposures
