Considering how much Blackbeard relied on fear and reputation to capture ships, he had every reason to make everyone think hes the devil. But in the end, he might have never actually killed anyone.

I can’t recall if it is legend or fact (hard to tell with a man like Blackbeard), but I heard that he went into that final battle with his beard on fire, armed with a belt of pistols, a pair of swords and died standing up, scaring those who survived more than when he could still pull the trigger. Fact or Fiction, it doesn’t matter as Blackbeard was too terrifying a man for it to be impossible.
He was a real person his ship was found sunk in Buford inlet NC
Love this song, one of my favorites of The Jolly Rogers. My personal favorite lyric comes at the end:

Don’t know why, but that part of the song brings me the biggest smile of all. Awesome song!
maby because the tone has one think the devils is having a round of mead at the house to toast for his good 'run' becoming a legend.. maby taking bets when the norse godess of the dead the realm is named after , and the babylonian concepts that devils & demons are woven from will unleash blackbeards spirit agen ,if it be with said demons & devils by his side.. or the undead draughrs to have a final chance to earn honour before rangarok

Mentioned this song and this legend to a friend, turns out it hit very close to home for them.
This is mainly because Blackbeard was such a demon to their harbour that they have an actual local holiday literally called "Freedom from Blackbeard Day" on what they allege is the day he died.

There are sayings that tells Teach put fire on his beard and fight this way. I though that is why there is a part that says "Beard of flame and a heart of ice" (Sorry for my bad english)
That's exactly correct! He'd put smoldering tapers in his beard to make him appear more frightening.
