This is the new Multi Port battery box from Ego. A box that charges all your ego batteries in rapid times. Plus storage. Great well made box from Ego and heres my thoughts!
I had to search specifically for this, a similar concept, and .... What did I find?? Thanks for sharing. This is crazy. Don't think you can find this in the US...
I searched and it's only available in Europe where they have 220v mains on every outlet so guessing this thing would require the use of the dryer outlet here in the states, making it a non-seller. I had several 220's installed in my garage for welding and ham radio so I could use it.
Why so many batteries? I run my lawn service with just two batteries per piece of equipment. Two batteries for the mower, two batteries for the blower and two batteries for everything else. I use one and the other is charging in the trailer, when I get home it's the trailer battery that needs charging, my ego battery is usually ready for the next day except for the last set that I used. I drop those on my Nexus power station and they get a nice long overnight charge.
@@kelkev85 Got a Chins 12v 100ah for the trailer battery. 2000w pure sine wave inverter, Renogy solar charge controller and 100w panel. I didn't have available surface area for more solar so most of my trailer charging comes from being plugged in overnight. My personal total daily fuel consumption is between 2 and 5 Kwh a day. Sometimes I come home with all my batteries depleted, sometimes only my trailer battery needs recharging.

Not every kit comes with the fast chargers though? Once you get one or 2 kits that contain the chargers you start buying the dry tools as you don't need anymore. Doesn't make sense to buy 6 kits for 6 chargers.

Also 8 batteries. There are 3 types of chargers Ego sells. Standard 210 watts Fast 550 watts Ultra 700 watts If you charge all six 7.5ah on standard 210 watt charger. It will take about 90 minutes from empty. A lot faster than 3 hours with your riding mower charger. It will look much better with milwaukee or Dewalt packout. Ego box looks cheap.
Not every country has access to the super charger. In the UK its only the normal and fast chargers. Also, the kit is not ALWAYS cheaper than the dry tool just to make you aware. Why on earth would a tool that comes with a £60-£90 charger be cheaper than just the bare tools itself along with a battery? Not in my experience. You mentioned judt the 7.5ah battery charging time? What about the 10ah and the new 12ah? Will your normL chargers take 90 minutes on those too? This charges 6 x 10ah in 3 hours. I'd love to see what your homemade box looks like if you dont mind? @@mikedaygm The math is very simple. 56v x 7.5ah = 420wh ÷ fast 550w = 45 minutes. More like 60 minutes You multiply 56v X 10ah =560÷fast 550wh =1 hour 10 minutes. They are not that efficient so more like 90 minutes 56v X12ah = 672wh ÷ fast 550w = 1.22 hours. More like 2 hours. 56v x 12ah =672wh ÷ ultra 700w = 60 minutes (.96 hour) In the USA, we have something called competition. I bought most of my Ego during Homedepot sell off. Up to 50% off. We have other sellers like Lowes, Ace, Amazon, Walmart, Acme tools. They all compete for our wallet. Acme tools is where I buy the refurbished kits with batteries and chargers. Up to 50% off from new. I find Nothing is wrong with them.
@@mikedaygm I just got this info off Ego's site, item #CHV1600 is the zero turn fast charger and according to the owners manual it's 1600w so yeah it looks like the same charger so basically it is just the zero turn charger and zero turn battery bank in a box which does help if you don't have their zero turn but want to fast charge up to 6 batteries at once
EACH Battery has a 3000 charge guarantee. Same with anyrhing really. Just like the rubber seals in my old petrol cNs have worn away from having petrol stored in them so much.
Lithium ion has a lower recharge life cycle lifePO4 but that’s life so it’s either pay up for lighter weight or change to less with heavy lifePOalterntives
I have cheaper idea. Just go buy a packout box on wheels. Mount inside the chargers that came with the kit. Place power strip and plug in the chargers. Plug in to the outlet. It will all charge at the same time. I just saved 1000 and used what I have.

Some will charge in an hour or less. 3rd, Place power strip inside and plug all the chargers to it. If you're somewhat decent in wood working or metal working. You could dress it up nicer than Ego.

I never seen this product before. I own alot of ego equipment. That 6 bay charging box looks the same as my ego z6 bay.🤫
Your quite right! It's basically ti's charger box strapped onto the backof your Z6!

We have 3 vans running Ego tools so need more than just 2 per piece of equipment.

Go make one inside a large Milwaukee or Dewalt packout box on wheels with what you already have. I'm sure you bought the kits with the fast chargers?

No this charger is 1600w. Very fast charging rates.
