  • If you've been following along on this channel, you will have seen many videos where I 54-box raids on EverQuest using EQ Emulator, and a local install on my computer.
    This video shows a macro setup for a level 60 team.
    MacroQuest can be found on projecteq.net on the forums.
    e3 is the MQ2 library I use, which can also be found at those forums.
    These macros are incomplete. I am always updating them but you will get a ton of insight watching this video. I will upload more videos like this so please ask questions and let me know what you want to see.

    Great breakdown, I did not realize I was playing on projected server. For complete local, do I change every address to the local IP on eqemu, login, and eq client host? I have local login server enabled in spire.

      Yes, you can set the IP address to your local LAN IP, which can be found from a CMD prompt by typing ipconfig. For your database and login server, I believe you want to use 127.0.0.1 but don't quote me as I'm currently not at home. You can check the Spire guide for more info

    5:00 bard has selo`s kick (aa), but that's all. Also, you can easily keep way more than 4 effects up if you can tell the toon to use clickies with good timing. (Weaving instant clicks while /melody runs) makes for some serious power increases if used right.

    Have a few questions. I know the Dain video you mention about giving the belt to whoever
    Loots the head. What did you decide for epics? I’m very interested in these videos.

    • @EverQuestBoxRaids
      @EverQuestBoxRaids  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For the epics, I chose the ones that are not easy to replace and then I did the raid fights for those quests one time for each class, and then I gave the epics to those characters. For example, for the Warrior epic, I killed Nagafen, Sev, Chardok Royals, and whatever else was involved, and then I gave both my warriors their epics with the #giveitem command. I didn't want to spend countless hours getting epics that most would be replaced by PoP

    Can you have project 1999 and eq live client on same drive ?

      The server doesn't take up much space. I think the database averages 256 MB.

    How do you get all the toons to follow your driver?

    1:55 this is what I did. Am I able to connect other computers to this server through a LAN? I'm guessing I need to learn how to do some port forwarding / etc.?

    • @EverQuestBoxRaids
      @EverQuestBoxRaids  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You can connect through a LAN with port forwarding. I haven't done this but it shouldn't be too difficult. EQ Emulator's wiki should have information how to do it

      @EverQuestBoxRaids do you have any videos that could walk a noob like me from zero to hero with a 6 man group? I've looked for mq2 tutorials here recently, but it's yard finding one that really targets someone who is completely new to the concept of using a program to help me box.. but now that it's *my* server, why the heck not?! Lol

      @@GES1985 I run a 6-man crew on Live sometimes, but without MQ2. Given that the expansions go to OoW on the Emulator (with some DoN), I would say you have many options to grow a team. My favorite team is SK/Enc/Clr/Brd/Mag/Wiz. You can also try a more melee focused team such as SK/Shm/Brd/Mnk/melee/melee. I've also seen the team tank/shm/brd/ber/ber/ber and tank/enc/clr/wiz/wiz/wiz. LDoN missions will get you the best gear but is super slow and boring. You could also level to 70 as best as you can then gear up in Velious/Luclin zones as you will be OP for them

      @EverQuestBoxRaguild Back when i played on live (Erolissi Marr Server), I played Bard as my main, and true boxed a mage and necro on some laptops and just used mercs to fill the group. I played from 99 to 2015, and came back briefly a little whole ago because the gnome mask was dropping during dragons dragons dragons, so I knocked that off the bucket list. But after that I got back off of live and started that single player server. I've only connected one account at a time to it so far, and it wasn't as much fun without other people + being stuck with the underwhelming built-in bots. Im thinking I would like to try and run my main (bard) with a SK/CLR/SHM/MAG/NEC group. But I don't even know where to start with the MQ2 stuff, and the tutorials I had found so far didn't leave me feeling ready to move forward with it

      @@GES1985 There are a handful of technical videos on my channel that go over different aspects of MQ2 and the e3 library that you can download with the emulator. I explain helpful hotkeys, how to write the scripts, and various commands and considerations. I will keep creating more technical videos as people request or as I think of more to add

    Hello!
    As an example! [Cures] Cure=Remove Greater Curse/Juicybox/checkfor|Balance of Zebuxoruk/zone|ssratemple (this line checks just 1 box for this debuff in SSRA, and uses RGC if found). CureAll=Pure Blood/gem|3/checkfor|Greater Shadow Poison/zone|vexthal (this line checks *every* box in VT for this debuff and uses Pure Blood in gem 3 if found).
    The default priorities of each class's Functions are shown in order, highest to lowest, in Advanced Settings.ini in the e3 Macro INIs folder. More functionality can be added to classes with this file (though be sure they have a section, even if blank, added in their INIs if you do add more), as well as priorities changed.
    As it seems you've already noticed, healers can call whoever they want a "Tank" or "ImportantBot" so you can do some interesting overlapping of healing priorities. Several Shamans can consider your Enchanters and Wizards "Tanks" to help with pbaeing, for instance.
    Mage pet weapons I give to pets as: a dagger first (some pets are Rogues, after all), any other weapon 2nd, Muzzle of Mardu, Crystal Belt/Girdle of Magi`Kot; so 4 lines. Takes a bit... but I only run 3 or 4 pet classes. Not sure about the 1.0/charges thing. I haven't personally done that one (their 1.5 prequest was very fast). If you have not come across it yet, the PEQ user Chance has made an incredible guide, on e3 specifically, here: tinyurl.com/chance650
    It is *VERY* worth looking into MQ2's built-in Profiles for autologin, as it is pretty convenient and easy to use once you get it working the first time. The Profiles can be grouped so that 2 clicks launches whatever combination you've pre-set: right-clicking the MQ2 icon in the Taskbar tray, going to Profiles, one of the grouped ones, and clicking Load All. This guide helps mess with it as it can be finicky, though the info will be different in places due to it being for PEQ vs. a local install: tinyurl.com/chanceautologin (EDIT: I realized after this that you're already using the plugin for password saving. I'm just gonna leave it in here anyway. 😜)
    Appreciate the video, and good luck Dave! 😁

      Rock on - this is super helpful! I played on PEQ for a few years and have spoken to Chance here and there.
