I really enjoyed watching the whole build series as it provides ideas for potential future modifications, exposure to smaller industry companies and enhances ones self confidence to tackle some of the maintenance and repair of a similar sled that I purchased for our family. First one in thirty years. I picture may speak a thousand words, but a well composed video (and service manual) is priceless. Well done, you had me a "Thanks for coming back". I look forward to viewing other videos on the channel. (Slow clap and fade to black).
Great build louis, I'm 15 and I've grown up wrenchin on sleds and quads and I enjoy seeing the older modle builds. Keep up the great work and keep the video's comin!
This is just awesome! I don't even own a sled right now, but still find myself going: "hmmm, maybe buy a sled again next season..hmmm". Thanks alot for taking the time to do this, and here's a thumbs up from Sweden!
Louis, watching your videos has become part of my nightly routine. I really enjoyed this 700 build (I also ride a 700, ZX chassis). You've given me some great ideas, as well as some great contacts for when I do make some changes. Great job on these vids! Hope to see this beast on the white stuff soon.
My Canadian friend thanks for the inspiration....i managed to start my project 1976 el tigre 440 with a suspension and track from a 97 wildcat 136 inch with tunnel extension...didnt make it to the snow this year but if all goes well. winter 21and 22 is going to be fun....thanks again.
Great Job Louis! I learned a few things and I've been sledding/building for years you make me want to mod my old Polaris its nice to see what can be accomplished with an older sled a true hot rod and not like everything else out there keep up the good work! Ride safe, think snow!
I live in the gatineau area, I wich I will see you in the near future to talk about sled's. I mist the toronto show because of work and I was so sad. This is the best video's I watch on youtube so far. Keep the good work! I hope you won't have any problems with your bombardier, I'm more and Arctic cat guy but at least you have an Arctic cat suspension. Can't wait for the snow and burn some gaz.
loved this build i have a 01 700 zx chassis I'm gonna mod out already has 144 kit 2 in paddles gonna to the vent kits you put on this and has full slp exhaust ... love yours vids keep em coming !
Hey awesome bulid, watched all the vids and got some great info on suppliers. looking forward to doing my own 2000 mxz 700 next summer, not going to as long but more like a 136 or 144 and a a full motor bulid. Keep up the great vids can't wait wait to see how your sled performs in the white stuff!
Loved the series you did an awesome job, makes me want to alot to my 00' renegade 700. Cant wait for the snow also looking forward to seeing videos of it in action.
Watched all you're episodes not having a clue where you guys were from. As if you're from dunrobin, i live in Kinburn haha. Im sure you know where that is!
After performing a top end rebuild on my 2001 mxz 700 what would be the proper break in method? Love your videos and all the vintage/modern crossover builds 👍
do you still have this sled? I started watching this build series for the second time but didn't realize you were just in Kanata. I live in Perth and would love to come see it in person
Hat's off to you for a great series! Help me build up my race quad this summer? :P haha jk, so sad i had to sell my sled this year, but Ottawa U is expensive! Love your work! Keep it up :)
Will you put a RPM dial on that sled to correctly tune your clutch setup?, i'ts a awsome sled dude! very nice mods!! cant't wait to see that in deep powder!
Excillent job on the sled, it look and sounds great!. i have a 2003 polaris xc sp 700, i would like to upgrade the primary clutch, any suggestion on clutch kits and springs?
Nice build, just wondering if someone wanted to duplicate it not including the initial cost of the sled could it be done for $6000 or would it cost more.
I just wanted to say i spent a good portion of my night watching this whole series and it was a good night! thanks and if you would inbox me i have some questions about different things im 14 years old but i try to get alot of old sleds going when i have the chance and would like a few tips if you have any thanks !
From an economics stand point it makes no sense whatsoever to do this if you have to pay for all the parts as you could just buy something newer that would probably perform similar. From a hotrodding/modder point of view it is a cool build and something nobody else will have. I really enjoyed watching the whole series.
You should take that thing to the race on the rock in newfoundland where they race up marble mountain just a straight drag its a blast look it up on TH-cam there are lots of video Race on the Rock.
your having a youtube run eh? would love to get more info on that if possible :P im currently living in ottawa while i go to algonquin college so if its possible id love to do somthing like that :P also i watched every video you have posted and they are all awesome, i love that you do all your work yourself and i must say keep up the good work :)
Do you have any modes that you recommend for this year of sleds. I have an mxzx 440 that was just rebuilt and I was looking to see what else I could do to it before the season really starts up.
The girls at work were complaining about the way their bf's smelled after sledding, I set em on the straight and narrow. That's the smell of a man I said, or a woman who likes 2 strokes Love the vids from Can Ada
why is everyone bitching about how he spends his money... its his own damn money... so get a damn life and the same level of mechanical skill as this man before you start bashing on him.... i say way to go lou

I can't believe it is the same sled. Amazing work! =O
You did a really good job on the sled! I hope you had fun on this and will have more fun on the rev. Take some vids of you in the powder.
On the handlebars? So you have something to grab on to when to need to reef it over in the powder, sidehilling etc - more leverage.
just wanna say awesome build man! the sled looks mean!
Not sure yet, would be nice.
Ya we are thinking XCR800 motor - just need to find one at the right price.
We need a Rev build! Sick sled, I love when someone works an older model!
Glad I could help!
Watched all you're episodes not having a clue where you guys were from. As if you're from dunrobin, i live in Kinburn haha. Im sure you know where that is!

Nero Zero Rocks!!
Thats a quite the beast!
Working on it.

Why don't you get some air filtres instead of that big heavy airbox?
I love your mods
Do you have any modes that you recommend for this year of sleds. I have an mxzx 440 that was just rebuilt and I was looking to see what else I could do to it before the season really starts up.
Nice job louie
its what I'm thinking - hard to find a motor at the right price.
You should put your shop loo-goo on the The hood of your sled, Need some color!!!

The girls at work were complaining about the way their bf's smelled after sledding, I set em on the straight and narrow. That's the smell of a man I said, or a woman who likes 2 strokes

Hey Louie I have a 1985 skidoo formula mx and I was wondering where I could get some good brackets to rase the rear suspension thanks
why is everyone bitching about how he spends his money... its his own damn money... so get a damn life and the same level of mechanical skill as this man before you start bashing on him.... i say way to go lou
@lshobie how come you never do any yamahas? i think you could do some real magic with a yamaha 700 triple, even the non power valve redheads
probably this summer.
