I thoroughly enjoyed Forty, even as someone who doesn’t tend to go for the Fifth Doctor. Although Secrets of Telos did take a minute to fully settle into as someone who only has a passing knowledge of Tomb of the Cybermen.
I enjoyed Secrets of Telos even though its literally the second time Big Finish has done a sequel to Tomb of the Cybermen. But the other story felt rushed in comparison being only 2 parts. Comparing it to the Lost Resort and other stories, I enjoyed those stories just that extra bit more. The cliffhangers made me really mad that I have to wait for the next boxset on this but I'll definitely be buying it.
I almost forgot, the last few 5th Doctor and Nyssa/Tegan monthly stories and the Lost Resort were literally about moving on from Adrics death and now this dealt with it and it's like we get it he died, you don't need to keep going on about it.
Honestly you are probably better off with the 2014 Fifth Doctor box set the first story especially Pychodrome really expores the doubts that the companions have about the new Doctor and the Doctor’s own self doubt after his regeneration.
Quick question: why is this review a live stream? Why not how it was done before? (And if it's for the live audience, you could just make the video go live. That is a thing that youtube allows people to do.) Also, all these live streams are getting annoying personally. (And yes, i know this sounds like I'm complaining......and i am, but i do personally think that the old way of doing was a better way of doing it.)
Hmm, a sequel to a second doctor story, and then a third doctor story in part 2? Maybe that's the pattern. Expect part 3 to have a fourth doctor sequel?
