Nice fish. So the big question that one you got at the end still looked healthy. A lot of the pics I've been seeing from wabamun are of long skinny pike weighing in at 10 pounds when they should be 20. Are the fat fish gone or you think there are still some good ones around?
Thanks so reduced to the level of other walleye infested lakes. Too bad. I wish pike would eat more walleye. The big ones must not be able to catch them. I've never caught a pike with a walleye in its gut. Have you guys?
I'd consider a 39 inch 12 pound fish a skinny fish as well. That's what I mean even the long fish are lightweights now. Would have to be 50 inch to hit 20 pounds at that rate.

Ive never ice fished the lake and only once open water. I think I kind of missed the boat as far as it goes as a big pike fishery. What do you think?
I believe the pike have been hit hard from the change and most are skinny. You will find the odd monster still in there tho. 👍

What kind of tip ups are those? Looks similar to the ones I have, but must be a different brand. Always like to try and mix things up.
