      Do you know how Chiang Kai-shek was defeated? Mao split the military power base before uniting the communists and took the factions apart one by one. Classic divide-and-conquer strategy.
      Taiwan is a legitimate independent country but because of China's imperialistic One China policy, the PRC deludedly thinks Taiwan is still part of China.

    Taipei is levels above the rest of both the American and International fields this year. Extreme discipline and hard work plus they respect the game. At this point it’s harder to win their national tournament / regional than it is to win at Williamsport

They just won the junior World Series too. They’ve been on the rise and they will become a juggernaut if other programs don’t start to evolve with them!!

    Please let those who are jealous refrain from spreading rumors.
    In other teams, there are some players who are as tall as the pitcher in the Chinese Taipei team, or even taller.
    Why spread rumors only about the Chinese Taipei team? Is it simply because they are the winners?

      I hope so, but questionable, you should watch TX/CA/WA games before jumping into conclusion. So far CT got too many cupcakes from their opponents. In CA/TN game, the commentator mentioned that CA team has no wild pitch so far.

      @@powenru8212 I’ve watched every game. Taiwan is the most disciplined team and makes the least amount of errors and has only let 1 pitcher go over 40 balls and they have only had 1 run score on them all tournament and they are the best hitting team by far. It’s really not even a question who is the best team and I wouldn’t be surprised to seen them mercy each team in the championship.

      As a 29 yr old TWNese, I really love how the kid do not hold back in that AT ALL. I definitely can see the older gen in TWN not liking his act coming up in our local news.
      But that was REAL FIRED UP from the kid. Love it. He taught me a lesson.

    Last summer I journeyed to Williamsport for a few days to watch FuLing Elementary, my coach from 20 years ago was the manager. The team had lots of pitching but loss to a great Curaçao squad-totally feel the same passion for the sport in this year’s team.
    For all the faults of the Taiwan teams in the 20th century, having representation a grand stage like the LLWS gives us immense pride.

They have everyone available. They have the depth. If they can’t beat teams that they’ve already beat with their other pitchers, especially with other teams having depleted rosters, then they have no reason winning any final. I’m predicting they play California for the final and they will need him. Last time this school made the final, they didn’t have their best pitcher and they lost 6-3.

      @@grt8guy03 I believe so. CT used to cheat on age in 70s; then larger talent pool after 80s; but not any more. It is hard to manipulate birth dates after 90s. It would be uncovered by local rivals. .. My son played youth baseball in US. I have seen some 6'2" 12U kids and some had mustache at that age. ... The key to success for CT is because they live in school dorm, eat together, study together, play together, like a military academy, so you see their discipline. Well, that may not be the best way for kids to grow.

    Regarding the Taiwanese pitcher barking at the Curacao player after the K at 7:15, this was precipitated by some gestures from the Curacao players before the game. That kind of behavior, screaming triumphantly, is not typical of ballplayers from the Far East, but I guess Hsu was that fired up.

    While I loved seeing #10 get humbled, I still think he is a really talented player. He just needs to learn that if you are going to play with emotion you need to keep that same emotion when you struggle and get it dished back at you. Again love watching him play and think he’s going to be a solid pro player one day!
