- Curacao and Venezuela played in the winners bracket in the 2023 Little League World Series. The winner of this game would be just 1 win away from the international championship game.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Best game so far. But also best umpiring as well. Guy behind the plate was calling every ball really well. For much we complain about the bad umpires, we should praise this ump because he’s the guy I want for the championship games.

What a game!!! I feel bad for anyone who only saw the score and thought this was a snoozer. That was one of the greatest LLWS games I've ever seen! I sincerely hope these two teams meet again in the International Final! Absolute barn burner! Such a shame that one of them had to lose in the end

This is what I like to see! A game where both teams are so talented, precise and dedicated, that you kinda wish both teams could win on a tie. This is one of those matches that I think will be remembered forever. Also, Venezuelans will always have a special place in our hearts over here in Curaçao. It's always a honor to see them play AND play with them.

Nah I was there. The runner, number 10, was chirping at the catcher between every pitch when he was on first and second, with the catcher daring him to go. The runner was talking all the shit and got thrown out. Deserved celebration by the catcher.

If this story is true then I can see why but still it’s not necessary to do it infront of him right there. He could’ve walked towards the dugout then celebrated

I was at the game. The runner, number 10, was talking to the catcher between every pitch when he was on first and second. The runner initiated the trash talking, and he got thrown out. I think it was deserved for the catcher to celebrate.

Incredible ending, but I've noticed 2 things this season that really bother me. 1) batters are on top of the plate to the point where in a few games this year they've been HBP while over the plate. 2) What is with these kids and their showboat antics?!?!?! Stare downs, taunting, etc. Quite a few pitchers and some of the hitters too. I salute the kids who can play with plenty of drive and passion without having to make sure it is all about them, and I think that is still a majority of them. I know, they're only modeling what they see the adults do and what the coaches allow, but still disappointing.

I think they should allow 1 fight per game in little league.
I’m not sure where I stand on this issue as I was one of those little league players that played with fire and was fueled by it.

I know they are kids and the Latino players are a little more flamboyant But players can't be doing this crap like this catcher did at 5:05..just unacceptable behavior. Bad sportsmanship. If I was an ump, I would've called him on it. You can see the ref stare down the catcher but he's soft and doesn't do the right thing. Big stage I get it. Players can't be standing over the runner and doing that hand gesture garbage. In the big leagues he'd get beaned when he comes to bat. Coaches gotta correct this behavior.

@@AndrewCravenho You are absolutely right, but all the children this year have been a little rude, for example if you watch the games of the teams from Hawaii, Curaçao and this action from Venezuela, the influence of being a little more rude to intimidate the rival is very noticeable ... certainly not what we are used to seeing in this tournament

This team went to the finals last year and number 10 was a star player but it seems since then there have been a lot of inflated egos on that team. Which is disappointing since I have also like Curaçao for being scrappy underdogs.
The catcher did that because of how #10 was acting in the beginning. He’s always acting that way if you watch him not to mention literally crying when he gets out. Not a team player at all! Was literally sobbing and walking slowly back to the dugout right before the home run because he obviously didn’t believe his teammates could get it done! Glad it was the other kid that won it. He was respectful about it! Good for him!

That was karma after the poor sportsmanship showed by Venezuela catcher on the play at the plate. I guess sportsmanship doesn't even count anymore. The catcher should have beenset down and the coach reprimanded for not policing his players.

Great game! I’m enjoying this tournament . That said, does anyone know how the brackets are created? What determines the first round matchups? Is it a blind draw or do they use their records to match the teams up? I say this because match-making means so much especially
On the international side - last thing you want is to be paired up with a great team in your first game and get sent to the losers bracket
they go by regions, at least for usa teams.

The catcher from Venezuela should have been ejected from the game for unsportsmanlike behavior. Very aggressive acting like he was going hit the runner twice. Sad to see youngster acting that way!
He wasn’t acting like he was going to punch him. That’s the “out” signal. Just like the runner was giving the safe sign from the ground.
What I did love was the Venezuela parents chanting “Ball Game! Ball Game!” with 2 outs in the 6th. Only to lose the game on the HR! Karma.
