This is what my dad used to warn me about when I was a coach. Over-coaching can cost you games. Young lady was throwing very well and you have to trust your defense.
First basemen should have made some plays for her but let it get away. She let one get away too. Props to her though, I thought she threw well till that point and had a good fastball. Hard as a kid in that position and under pressure not to let it get to you, especially when it is a much bigger crowd than you are used to. Kudos to her she did good.

Nice job! My Adult League made some pretty significant contributions to this league. Fields were upgraded, etc. it’s fantastic to see them have such success! I feel a small part of it. A part of it, nonetheless. Well played game, boys!! Great defense, and fundamental ball. Good luck the rest of the way!
I got Washington cruising through this tournament. They are just better at every aspect of the game than the other teams. It will take a really good international team to beat them.
Guess you haven’t watched the international side with China Japan and Curaçao those are the best teams in the tournament I don’t think Washington will come out on the US side I think even though they lost Tennessee is better and Nevada and California both look great too. Don’t get me wrong Washington is pretty good but if they play teams that make very few mistakes like the international teams I mentioned zero chance
Not scoring with runners at 2nd and 3rd in the 1st 2 innings really hurt TN. 3rd baseman for W was huge to take away those runs. Lastly, Nash Carter is soooo silky smooth. Love watching him play the game.
Washington got some good defense can’t lie accept for the part where the 2nd basemen threw it over the 1st basemen’s head but other than that they got a good center fielder, a really good shortstop, and also that 3rd basemen is clutch

Good question and deciding when to use your ace is tough in a tournament like this. Obviously the last thing you want is to not use him and get sent right to the losers bracket. Yet you also don’t want to use him too early in the tournament and not have him available in the championship

Coaches have failed, kids hopping to first on a hbp like they’ve Just knocked in a winning run. They’re not teaching them to celebrate when they win, it’s baseball, anything can happen , you don’t celebrate till the final out is called

winners bracket. if you win, great, if you lose, you have your ace ready for an elimination game i would assume is the thought process

Way too many mental mistakes by Tennessee, base running and fielding decisions.
And the coach was overreacting- just not used to trailing, maybe overlooked WA as well
They are too impatient. Bases loaded no outs and then don’t score. It took 10 pitches all inning for that to happen. I’d laugh at that.
