I hope it goes without saying, but unless a Poodle has been 'acclimated' to having the face clipped with a #30 (or #40) blade against the grain of the skin, it is always best to start with a #10 blade to check the dog's sensitivity, then moving up to a #15, and if it can tolerate it, using the #30 as shown in this video. I would suggest going back with a #40 blade and 'scooping' out just underneath the eyes as well as any stubble left behind on the lips. I, personally, am not a huge fan of ANY of the Wahl line of clippers. I find Andis to be the platinum standard for the ultimate in dog grooming.
Juan Villa - You can use any dog clipper on people too. In fact, the motor is stronger than the ones they sell for people. If you also use it on dogs, disinfect blades well and use some alcohol to clean the clipper too. 1. You want to buy a clipper that is at least $100 or more for strong motor. 2. You must be able to fit snap on combs on that clipper blade. Either the clipper comes with specific set of combs or you need to buy a set ($15). The combs allow you to keep an even length of hair on head, such as 1 inch, 1/2 inch, 1/4 inch, etc. Unlike dogs, you seldom shave down close on a human head. 3. If you use a comb anytime on your clipper, you need a fine blade like #30 or #40 but not anything lower. You only need a couple of these blades, no other sizes to cut human hair. 4. Use #30 or #40 blade without comb to shave down neck hair, or to even do armpits, groin area, legs, etc. Does a pretty close trim but not like a razor. Advantage is that hair does not grow back thicker like shaving! Nice. 5. Use with a comb whenever you want a crew cut or even hair length. Just snap on comb and run through head. 6. Oil blades often during a cut, so blades remain sharp and don't overheat. 7. Disinfect between different people or dogs. Oil blades heavily before storing, wrapped in an oily cloth.

they do not get hot they get very very warm!
