- This is the first time the Junkers Ju-188 was flying in public at the warbird meeting in Timmersdorf / Austria.
Builder & Owner: Adolf (Adi) Leopold
This project is one of two models of Ju-188 at the same modelers club. The weathering has be done by Klaus Herold, who is an expert in painting and weathering WW2 Rc planes.

Oh boy that Junkers is a beauty. What a treasure to build and fly! Horst you sure have great backdrops for your videos, the mountains and forests just brings us back to a time when they were using these planes for another purpose. The visuals are outstanding! Thanks again for some more eye candy.

When I was 10 years old, my father bought me a plastic model airplane kit of this Junkers JU-188 aircraft. Of course, it couldn't fly. But I daydreamed that it would fly😍. I loved that kit. Thank you for your videos and bringing back good memories.

Wow, the sound this plane makes is amazing! It sounds similar to a big prop plane only with a slightly higher pitch. Beautiful build and great flying as well!

It is an incredible model, its weight of 85 kilos is surprising, the pilot is a very good pilot, but what surprised me the most is the 8 years it took to finish it, that is love for planes, we share the same taste and the excellent video Congratulations😊👍👍👍

Very impressive build... expect those 2 Moki's were pretty thirsty! Get the feeling the engines weren't quite in sync but still, a very nice flight, and smoke too :) Great landing. Lovely setting.

Originally 4 pieces were planned. Three of them in the same club, the fourth model was to be built in Germany. The current situation is as follows: Two planes are on duty and have already completed several flights. The third model is partially built but will take another year or two to complete. Unfortunately, I have no information about the fourth model in Germany.
The Ju-188 with factory number #1 was also present at this event, but unfortunately the pilot had problems with his radio equipment in the morning when he was flying his large P-47 Razorback and for this reason the Junkers stayed on the ground.

Super wow ! When I think that for plastic modeller’s a 1/24 Spitfire (30 cm approximately)is called quarter scale and when I see this , It seams to me that this is the "real" quarter scale !!it’s so large that Action man dolls could fit in as crew members !

Wonderful! I've always liked this design. I didn't know its wing tips came to a point. I like the way you kind of duplicated the swastika on the rudder, even though its against the law to duplicate it in Germany. Good job and it sounds terrific! Perfect approach and three point landing.
It was a development of the Ju-88 which had shorter wings regular wings. The new wings provided in the 188 gave better high altitude performance.

Hi. This model is completely built from scratch. Except the engines, electronics and servos are handmade.

Ich bin der Chronist der 3.(F)/33, (8H) die auch mit Ju 188 ausgerüstet war. Gratuliere zum perfekten Bau, Flugbild und Detailtreue. Unsere Flugzeugführer haben vor Athen-Kalamaki sogar Loopings geflogen damit. Leider ist euere Staffelkennung kaum sichtbar. N6 ?

feines Großmodell, wie zuvor schon angedeutet scheint die Einstellung um die Querachse nicht zu stimmen, das Modell fliegt eine Wellenlinie - Ist da ein Gyro drin, der vielleicht zu empfindlich reagiert? Der Schwerpunkt dürfte wohl eher nicht das Problem sein.
