I buy books when i'm stressed too! Tho that doesn't help much with the stress because then I end up getting stressed over the amount of money I've spent and end up buying more books.. its a vicious cycle
That murder mystery book is a "cozy mystery"! It's a genre full of cheesy mysteries with little to no gore and it's always got a lot of puns and usually follows themes such as occupations, holidays, etc. They are my ultimate guilty pleasure reads!
I like the fact that almost everyone in the booktube thingie read most of them and you just read them now, because I feel like with all the hype long gone you can make an honest review on them and I mainly just trust you when it comes to books :)
I'm so glad that u love paperbacks and have mostly paper backs because I feel like so many book tubers have hardbacks because they're prettier and them I want to also get them and it's DEPRESSION😠 AHHHH
Hanna Michelle you should still try! Read as much as you can it would still be fun. 😊 I have a seven year old who demand all of my attention at all times so I doubt I will get a bunch done either lol
I remember stress-shopping during college lol. Unfortunately I hadn't gotten into reading yet, or else my bookshelves would be FULL! Also those Neil Gaiman covers are sooo pretty. And I'm jealous of that manga Pride and Prejudice -- I would LOVE to read that!!
You by Caroline Kepnes is actually not written in 2nd person POV because that would mean it would be written like "You're standing on the sidewalk bundled up against the cold as you stare across the street into her window where she's reading." But this books is written like "I stood on the sidewalk bundled up against the cold as I stared across the street into your window where you're reading." It's still 1st person POV, but the stalker talks to the girl in his head. Everyone I've ever heard of who's talked about this book describes as 2nd person POV and I don't know who started this idea but it's actually wrong. Sorry to correct you! I've just heard it wrong so many times and it annoys me now.
Okay, cool! I have been wondering about that book for so long, here in the middle of nowhere without a bookstore within 120 miles. Thank you for clarifying!
Rash loves Tolstoy is so good. It's the only book I've read so far with and asexual character in it that's an accurate representative which is nice. It's something I wish there was more of because no one believes in my identity.
Some of my favourite cozy mystery series are the scumble river mystery series by Denise Swanson, the Phryne Fisher mystery series by Kerry Greenwood, and the Flavia series by Alan Bradley
"Does he have a great Bod?" hahaha, love it! I highly recommend The Night Circus, Night Film and You :) I also got Stalking Jack The Reaper around Halloween but have yet to read it, now I don't know whether to read it now or just leave it for next Halloween
I just picked up Stalking Jack the Ripper on audiobook yesterday, I'm saving it for bus journeys (although, I am weak and my track record for saving audiobooks for travel is abismal)! Also, I had NO IDEA that Neil Gaiman wrote Coraline?!?
The Girl in 6e was really interesting. There are 2 sequels but i havent read them yet. If you liked the daughter of smoke and bone, night of cake and puppets is more of a side story with Zu and Mik. You can read it anytime. I dont remember if you've read strange the dreamer yet but it's another really good Laini book. Lastly, i really, really want the cruel prince. That's gonna be a tough wait.
A book I'll recommend to you is Spirit by Graham Masterton it revolves around murders and is also a horror book. It is mainly about a five year old who drowned in a frozen pool and now her spirit is taking revenge by killing people. When her sister learns more about this she realizes that her revenge is recreated by a story she read to her called the snow queen. I have started reading and it's really good.
One of my favorite "cozy mystery" series is the Cat in the Stacks murder mysteries by Miranda James. Each title is a pun, and the main character is a librarian who has a cat that is also an important character. Cats, murder, books, and cheese: it's the best! (:
Night of Cake & Puppets is a quick read and doesn't spoil anything about the rest of the Daughter and Smoke and Bone series. It's all about Zuanna and Mik and how they got together. So go ahead and read that one first. It's a quick read.
I would definitely recommend You by Caroline Kepnes first! It’s one of THE BEST books I ever read - like I was changed. Its sequel Hidden Bodies is also equally amazing!
You couldn't have said it better.. you're stressed? GO AND BUY BOOKS! It works for me too so now I don't feel that guilty knowing I'm not alone on this lol
I’ve only read a couple of series and novellas but some of my favorites are the warrior cats series, wings of fire, the land of stories, and I’ve recently read a book called death Dickinson and the demented life frenchie Garcia which was amazing!
Have you read the Hannah Swensen series by Joanne Fluke? It's a cheesy murder mystery series set in fictional small town in Minnesota. It's one of my favorites :) I always picture it as being set near Minneapolis, but a lot of the stuff reminds me of the little town I grew up in on the opposite side of the state.
When moving from UK back to Paris, I was forced to throw some of my favourite graphical novels....And now I need to repurchase all of them, and then thought of moving them back to China again frightens me, seriously.
“When I am stressed, I buy books” why is this me
Why am I the same though
You must have a lot of books Lol
When im stressed, i buy books. When i eat, i buy books. When i sleep, I dream about buying books.
I practically buy books for a living.
Zoe! You could build a house with that amount of books! XD
That would be the best house EVER. Except then you couldn't read the books. Nevermind, I take it back.
readbyzoe Then it would turn into book jenga 😂
Holly Hearts Books or a Bookmas Tree.
Holly Hearts Books look at your profile book and her book the cruel prince
I buy books when i'm stressed too! Tho that doesn't help much with the stress because then I end up getting stressed over the amount of money I've spent and end up buying more books.. its a vicious cycle
So true, but you'll still have the amazing books in the end so there's comfort in that :D
Do another 24 hour reading vlog!!!! Pleaseeeeee
she just uploaded an announcement for a holiday 24 hour readathon for this upcoming saturday!
Her previous video was of her announcing a new readathon this month
That murder mystery book is a "cozy mystery"! It's a genre full of cheesy mysteries with little to no gore and it's always got a lot of puns and usually follows themes such as occupations, holidays, etc. They are my ultimate guilty pleasure reads!
Ooh I didn't know there was a proper name for the genre! I'm totally going to to check out more, thanks 😊

Yes my faves too
Yooo the girl in 6E is a RIDE
Yesss I am so excited to dive into it!
IT'S THE BEST
I still have to read the final installment, but first two books were a ride indeed :)
I like the fact that almost everyone in the booktube thingie read most of them and you just read them now, because I feel like with all the hype long gone you can make an honest review on them and I mainly just trust you when it comes to books :)
"When I'm stressed, I buy books." I FEEL YOU ZOE
I'm so glad that u love paperbacks and have mostly paper backs because I feel like so many book tubers have hardbacks because they're prettier and them I want to also get them and it's DEPRESSION😠
AHHHH
the ocean at the end of the lane is one of my favorite books. it’s like reading a dream. it’s a super quick read!!!
"Bod?...His name is Bod?...Does he have a gret BOD?"
The way books makes us go places in our head is incredible...... I just love reading ❤..........
These videos always make me wanna spend all day reading but i have finals to prep for :(
Is anyone else going to do the 24 readathon with her? Because I am and I can’t wait!!
_JEWELS_IS_COOL_ 16 I decided to do it and I am so excited!!
I want to so badly! I’m a mom to a one-year-old though so I don’t think I’d be very successful in trying it out 🤔
Hanna Michelle you should still try!
Night Film is one of my all-time Top 3 favorite autumn books :)
Bird Box is amazing. When you start it you won't be able to stop.
When you want to be a minimalist, but can't keep yourself from buying books... I relate to the struggle.
I also buy books when i'm stressed. We are almost done with the semester!!
Coraline is my favorite movie! The book was super different from what I remember, but I love both the book and the movie. I love your videos Zoe!
Your hair is super cute.
Stalking Jack The Ripper is probably in my top three books I have read in 2017, I hope you read it soon and enjoy it as much as I did!
Bird box is amazing. A friend of mine sugested it to me a few years ago and it was soooooo good!
I am currently reading “and the trees crept in” it is amazing. A bit confusing in the beginning but I am enjoying it. It’s very dark and mysterious
The ocean at the end of the lane was the book that got me into reading and I think it really stick with you. You should definitely read it!
LOL I love manga Pride and Prejudice! That was one of my favorite random B&N finds too. I wish they'd make manga editions of all Austin's works...
You’re literally my mood, I have so many. And my stress literally is buying books.
Amazing book haul! 👌🏼I love the color of your nail polish and the color of your lipstick. They match so well!
You by Caroline Kepnes is actually not written in 2nd person POV because that would mean it would be written like "You're standing on the sidewalk bundled up against the cold as you stare across the street into her window where she's reading." But this books is written like "I stood on the sidewalk bundled up against the cold as I stared across the street into your window where you're reading." Sorry to correct you! I've just heard it wrong so many times and it annoys me
now.
Oh gosh, duh. I know the difference, but somehow I didn't make the distinction in my head. Thanks for the correction!
That's what I was thinking it's written like we're thinking and seeing what the stalker is
Okay, cool! I have been wondering about that book for so long, here in the middle of nowhere without a bookstore within 120 miles. Thank you for clarifying!
Jessica Jenks wow that must be hard having a bookstore far away
You're my favourite booktuber, always a pleasure to watch your videos
I’m in the middle of Night Circus and it’s currently SooooooOooOOo good, you have to read it soon!
Rash loves Tolstoy is so good. It's the only book I've read so far with and asexual character in it that's an accurate representative which is nice. It's something I wish there was more of because no one believes in my identity.
I've only read the first Daughter of Smoke and Bone bone but read Night of Cake and Puppets just fine since it takes place during the first book!
I love to see people supporting Barnes & Noble! We have that hidden gem on our shelves as well, I put it away last week.
Am so eager to see what you think of Illuminae. I keep seeing it on your tbr shelf :)
My TBR is ever growning THANK YOU 😍😍😍
Some of my favourite cozy mystery series are the scumble river mystery series by Denise Swanson, the Phryne Fisher mystery series by Kerry Greenwood, and the Flavia series by Alan Bradley

Yes, I am hopefully making one this month!
that is one pretty edition of the hobbit!
I loved Turtles all the way down! ❤️ I usually don't like Green's books but this was the best read of the year! And now one of my favorite books
You should do a video outside of booktube and talk about why you became a vegetarian. It’d be an interesting video 😊
"Does he have a great Bod?" hahaha, love it! I highly recommend The Night Circus, Night Film and You :) I also got Stalking Jack The Reaper around Halloween but have yet to read it, now I don't know whether to read it now or just leave it for next Halloween

The Words of Radiance has 4,77 out of 5 stars on Goodreads! THAT's impressive :D

A book I'll recommend to you is Spirit by Graham Masterton it revolves around murders and is also a horror book. Have you read the Hannah Swensen series by Joanne Fluke? It's a cheesy murder mystery series set in fictional small town in Minnesota.
