I don’t know how I haven’t come across your channel before. You’re so joyful, happy, and vibrant. You seem like an amazing person. Also, your voice is so expressive which makes your videos even better. Also, it’s okay you haven’t read much. As for Shakespeare, some cities have places where you can go see his plays performed. They do one play, it usually lasts a month. I highly suggest it. It’s a lot of fun and the experience is amazing. I don’t know if they have them where you are, but it might be something to look into if you wanted.
About Persepolis! There's actually four parts! All four parts create a story following her growing up into a woman! I would highly reccomend getting the bind up called The Complete Persepolis!
I missed your videos!!! I was also reading Furthermore this year and I understand what you were saying. My two favorite books were either Blue Lily, Lily Blue or Lord of Shadows
My favorite book so far this year was the Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I hope you do another readathon video soon! those are my favorite videos!
Dadiddy97 I blamed school on me not reading but I know I could have sacrificed some time for reading. I'm glad that you are out of your reading slump haha
I just started watching this and you mention Hello My Twenties and I'm just like yes!!! finally someone else who has watched it and loved it 💕💕 k-dramas are my guilty pleasure tbh 😅😂
I read A Court of Mist and Fury this year and that has to be one of my favorite books so far but I also read Alex, Approximately and completely fell in love with the story and characters!!!
“Hamlet, by Shakespeare, ....is good” 😂 Although I still haven’t read/seen Hamlet - Macbeth is my fave!! My fave book this year so far is probably Crooked Kingdom!
I think my favorite book I've read so far this year is Scythe but I'm currently reading A Gathering of Shadows by V.E Schwab and I loooove it ! I hope everything is fine in London, enjoy your time here :)
Zoe, I have a couple of book recommendations; both contemporary. The first one is: Roseblood by A.G. Howard, it is a modern retelling of the Phantom of the opera and that's all I want you to know about it. It's best to go through this book without knowing much about it. And, the second one is: Olivia Twist, I know that you have read Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, I'm not sure if you have read his novel of Oliver Twist, but Olivia Twist by Lorie Langdon is a modern retelling that I think you would like. It has murder, mystery, suspense, and a lot of romance. Hope to see these books in your next videos and hope you enjoy both as much as I do.
Don't feel bad about your reading challenge!! I literally read zero books up until classes got out in April and since then I'm on book nine trying to catch up lol. You're doing great! I'm reading TMI and TID for the first time this year. So far I think my favourite has been clockwork angel. I am waiting for the last four books to come in the mail so I'm rereading ACOMAF right now!
Ahhh Persepolis is such a phenomenal graphic memoir. I adore it to pieces and need to reread it. I really want to read IBIATCL because I love YA romances and k dramas sound like a great combination lol. You’re such a trouper for reading an entire series in a single day!! All the Shakespeare you read made me think of it’s hard to be the bard from the musical something rotten. Lmao I love reading about rich people too. I’ve only watched the movie for crazy rich Asians but I do plan on reading the series. I love love love your energyyyy
Great video! You are so fun and bubbly. Def going to add Furthermore to my list. This is probably weird to ask (or maybe asked before?) but where did you get your desktop wallpaper? It's so pretty! Did you make it?
I also took a Shakespeare class this semester and we didn't read Romeo and Juliet either!!!! I enjoy the tragedies over the comedies, and my favorites were Macbeth and Hamlet (which I had read previously, but I wrote papers on each of them! I also am having issues finishing Crazy Rich Asians! I got stuck and put it down and I keep getting distracted with other books.
Hi Zoe! Are you planning another 24hour readathon soon? I always miss Dewey’s due to university and they’re so far between ... Would love to participate if you plan another one ^^
Oh I did the Lord of Shadows torture too! I started them thinking "I'll be fine, it can't be that bad..." Holy crap was I wrong... It hurts soooo much!!!!
Currently reading The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, just finished reading All The Bright Places and Holding Up The Universe. Turtles All The Way Down and other things lmao.
Ahhh, Tender Buttons. Takes me back to my last semester being an English major...I hated it! But absolutely loved Persepolis. I’m grateful I was able to get part 1 and 2 together instead of separately.
I was in an American Literature class this semester and had to read "Howl" by Ginsberg as well! I loved it so much that I'm going to do my thesis on it next semester. Yes, a 20 page paper on a poem. I am determined!
Tyler johnson was here is my favorite book i read so far this year I am currently reading the raven cycle. On the third book. First two was tough to read because i had 0 motivation to read but getting through this one pretty fast
lol I also started watching k drama this year after watching "Hello my twenties" on Netflix! and the 3th season Is coming out in June or July in Korea !!
I literally just finished The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo ten minutes ago, and I felt I had to mention this on every book video I watched today. It murdered me in the best way.
I haven't read Crazy Rich Asian. And it's a shame, because I am Asian and should be reading that book. But I am glad that you enjoy reading it. Btw, how is London? I heard, the weather there changes sometimes. Be sure to be prepared.
Hello Zoe 🙂 I'm a huge bookworm. Everytime I'm in the presence of books, I feel like I'm in a little piece of Heaven on earth. My book collection is evolving quickly lol.
I'm addicted to the Harry Potter game as well- I'm already on my second year. For whatever reason I can't seem to get into Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare, is it worth the read? I'm trying to decide whether I want to really commit to reading it or not
6 ปีที่แล้ว
I've always wanted to read all of Shakespeare work! The only plays of his I've read so far are Romeo & Juliet (duh), Much Ado About Nothing and Othello. I liked them all so I'd love to finish the collection!
OMG I also read Lord of Shadows at the end of April and I've had it for year (don't know why I didn't pick it up) but I NEED THE THIRD THAT ENDINGGGGG😱
have read book one of the raven boys need to continue that. They making a tv series right? not sure how i feel about tv series anymore they just end up getting cancelled
The best book I have read so far is The Raven Cycle series. It is my all time favorite series and honestly it’s the one series that made me want to read more books and fall in love with reading!! By the way, Ronan is my favorite character in The Raven Cycle❤️❤️❤️
I’m a junior in high school and we were required to read Persepolis for my English class and I’m so glad you read it!! I also didn’t know about the Islamic revolution in Iran and was so uninformed and shocked at how much I didn’t know.
I really, really think you should read "Stay With Me" by Ayobami Adebayo if you're looking for an unpredictable contemporary read. It's about a Nigerian couple that can't bear children but the things that take place in book will really take you by surprise. I highly recommend it. It was my favourite book of 2017. I also read "The wedding date" because of you. I needed that fun, flirty read.
I think my best book so far this year for fiction would be the entirety of the Darker Shades trilogy by VE Schwab, I read them all in like a week. For nonfiction I’d say I’ll Be Gone In the Dark by Michelle McNamara, it changed my life. I’m also reading a bio of rasputin that’s really good?
“I’m not a fan of Alice and Wonderland”
Zoe, I’m so glad you’re across the pond in London right now, because Hailey is COMING FOR YOU.
Oh my god true, Zoe you better run! XD
HAILEY

Katie'sBookCorne
I hope she can run on water... Hailey’s gonna get her FAST otherwise
You read two books in two months...

Unlike a contemporayr love story, your reading life is not predictable.
You already read so many books!
I recently bought Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows and I'm SO EXCITED to finally start reading them!
Basically Britt I’m wanting to get to lady midnight soooo bad!
“She made dumb decisions....*weird whining noise*” 😂😂😂 I lost it lol I love your personality so much!
I don’t know how I haven’t come across your channel before. You’re so joyful, happy, and vibrant. You seem like an amazing person. Also, your voice is so expressive which makes your videos even better.

When you talked about the elevator and getting trapped in one I automatically thought of Sue trapping Kurt and Blaine from glee.
