I had a good friend that was 4 months pregnant and lost her baby because she was not wearing the shoulder strap and she flew out the windshield when a car hit her from behind. Please wear it the correct way and not behind you as that is not how it was designed to work. I would hate for you and your family to loose you or the baby or both.
Fun fact.. under a certain height the chest strap is more dangerous. For example only time I was injured in a car accident was because of the seat belt almost breaking my neck, around that height and pregnant you can just kinda.... oh idk hush?

hi, nurse here. for the glucose monitor, you need to put the test strip in the machine first. then , you take the pen (place the needle inside), and puncture your finger. with the blood drop that accumulates on your finger, you need to then have the test strip (that is already connected inside the machine) touch the blood. then it will read well :) also, i am not sure what model you are using, but if there are #s on the pen, 0-10, 0 is the most "gentle" puncture, as when you increase the #s on the pen, the spring mechanism gets stronger (higher #= stronger poke to puncture THICK skin). you should be okay with 0 or 1 level.

I had Gestational diabetes with my 3rd pregnancy and ended up having a 10lb 4oz baby. I had 4 pregnancies in all and she was the only one. It is common with this you could have a big baby.
Put the test strip into the little machine and then prick your finger with the little needle then drop a couple drops of blood on the test strip and then it should read your glucose level oh and make sue your hands are clean before u do all this and those little strips in the containers shouldn't get in the sunlight hope this helps you
You can go into CVS and talk to pharmacy and they should wLk you through how to do all of that and they should of asked you if you wanted any help on how to do it any other pharmacy does
I had gestational diabetes and controlled it with diet. I was 26 when I was pregnant and they found this. It went away & didn’t return with my next child. I’m 56 now and was diagnosed with type 2 at 50. Xxxx.

I’m a diabetic. Sorry… I laughed just a bit when Daddy is putting blood on the strip before putting the strip in the meter (machine). He kept getting an error message because it told him you can’t use a used strip. By him putting the blood on it first, that made it a used strip. So put a clean strip in the slot in the meter. Poke your finger with the lancet (you get use to it), squeeze your finger to get a drop of blood. You only need a small drop. Put the blood on the end of the strip. It will only take a few seconds and a number will come up. And be nice to CVS. Lol. They set you up good!! Lol. Good luck.

U think thats bad try having your first and only child with gestational diabetes i got tested from about 11-14weeks pregnant so i had to do that 4 times a day pricking throughout pregnancy... lucky for me it went away after birth

Don’t tell a pregnant woman how to eat. GD is not caused by eating certain foods. BTW you don’t see what she eats daily you only see what she eats on baby appointment days.
@@teresanorris4769I highly disagree. Although someone who eats perfectly healthy can get GD it is ridiculous to think you can't maintain it in a safer way by diet. I have followed multiple mothers who got it and kept It under control by their diet. A doctor would TELL her to avoid excess sugar etc. If she is eating extreme amounts of sugar and junky food it is not going to help the situation. It is ok to indulge a bit once in a while but the majority of your diet when pregnant should be whole foods and home cooked meals as you are feeding your unborn child. Come at me all you want but I stand by this statement and mean it in the most caring loving way. I've wanted to say this many times watching her vlogs. She says she's worried she has GD in a prior vlog then gets donuts. That's very dangerous. We just want her and her baby to be healthy...not to hurt anyone's feelings.

Washing with hot soapy water is actually a better route then alcohol, alcohol over time can harden skin and make testing actually more painful.
