    Thanks for the video! Going to Bali soon… by the way, I’ve had my luggage lost twice already, once arriving in Delhi and once arriving in Bangkok. My advice is to ALWAYS bring a spare change of clothes in your hand luggage. Some airlines will give you some cash right away to go shopping though. And I’ve been bitten by a stray dog in Thailand, needed to get rabies shots. Might be good to look up hospitals where you can get the shots in case you do get bitten, you need to get them within a day or so after getting bitten. Or get the shots in advance…

    All these seem obvious, but some people are actually clueless, so it's handy info. One less obvious one worth mentioning, and it applies all around SEAsia and South Asia....the roads are almost always chaos, so when you need to cross a road by foot, be decisive and walk at a normal slowish pace and everything will flow around you....NEVER run across a road or you're just asking for trouble! 🚑

    • @nicholasrv8834
      @nicholasrv8834 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      there are dogs on all the beaches. They are fed daily by kind souls who invest countless hours to make sure they bellies are full just like yours is. The Bali dog has a rich 5,000 year history. Maybe choose another place to visit as you will find them on the beach, all streets, and most probably outside your guesthouse.

    • @RhettandClaire
      @RhettandClaire  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really, there are Bali dogs everywhere. Don’t be scared though, just ignore them and you’ll be fine😊🙏🏻

    • @ayesha4653
      @ayesha4653 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nicholasrv8834 your response is entirely unprovoked and unhelpful. The video itself advised to be careful around the stray dogs on the island as they may be aggressive and also can carry diseases. There are people who may not want or know how to deal with aggressive dogs so prefer to stay away if they can. There are also people with weakened immune systems who are wary of catching diseases from animals. It was simply a question and no reference was made to whether or not stray dogs should be fed etc, that was your bizarre assumption to make.

      @@RhettandClaire thank you, your bali tips and vids are super helpful 😀

    • @nicholasrv8834
      @nicholasrv8834 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ayesha4653 I have lived in Bali 25 years. Dogs are a way of life here, most are vaccinated and a large percentage have been neutured, as a result of kind souls who donate time and money to do so. Accept it, expect it, or go somewhere else. In 25 years, I have maybe seen 3 aggressive dogs. Not provoking you, just telling you this is how it is. Did it cross your mind maybe the video made by 2 people who have lived in Bali for 1 year might be lacking in knowledge? They had 1 bad experience and it is generalized. Bali dogs are wonderful animals, some have lived on the beach all their lives and are loving and cuddly, and 2 of them live in my home. In closing, even the video creators mention to not pay attention to them and ignore them and you will be fine. But if you have allergies or a weakened immune system, best thing to do is to go to a place with no dogs. Have fun wherever you go.

  • @seasidekreations-australia
    @seasidekreations-australia ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Great info for newbies to Bali for sure but one point you mentioned broadly that I do not agree with, as a frequent traveller to Bali, is that you mentioned people get Bali Belly from the water, yes correct and the street food, not so correct. Most get it from Buffets and westernised restaurants. I eat from local warungs, markets and street food every trip, rarely eat anywhere else and have NEVER gotten Bali belly. If the street food vendor, local warung etc is very busy with locals it is generally safe to eat there. If eating a buffet at a restaurant/accommodation breakfast, eat when the food goes out not an hour or so later. Food from local warungs, street food and markets is so darn good and mentioning that people will get Bali belly from it, in the generalised manner in which you have, only scares people from having delicious cheap food.

    very informative video but I think you should mention taxi scam/expensive price , this mean please use grab or ask person to put meter for you. I almost forgot those small speed boats on beach to hire so becareful of that and bike hire also please take video before accepting bike. Any another great video
