TEDxJakarta - Jubing Kristianto - Six String Happiness

Jubing Kristianto is four times national winner of "Yamaha Festival Gitar Indonesia" (1987, 1992, 1994, and 1995). He's also a recipient of Distinguished Award at "Yamaha South-East Asia Guitar Festival" in 1984.
He is famous for his interpretations of old folk and traditional songs, in which he transports us back to our childhood.
Playing some of those tunes at TEDxJakarta, Jubing also shares his love of music, and the progression of learning his most valuable instrument, the guitar.

Koh Jubing pernah diundang sebagai pengisi acara dalam suatu event charity di kampus saya. Koh Jubing terlihat sangat humble dan seorang yang sederhana dan memang itulah aslinya.

I learned the classical guitar for three years. I found it much harder than the piano to be able to play solo initially, not to mention it hurt my fingers!! I still find it harder than the piano, maybe because the piano is my first instrument. I still can’t just play anything on the guitar. But I love the sound of a classical guitar. Jubing is my hero. You make me want to keep playing my guitar!!
