The Mongolia episode was so good. You should really watch the whole thing. James and Richard did actually build the whole car, they know a lot about the mechanics of a car, far more than your average person. They're decent mechanics
James spends most of his free time tinkering with old motorbikes, he's an incredible mechanic and Richard definitely knows what he's doing. Jeremy has no idea how a car works. Literally no idea.
I think you should react to Richard Hammonds crash, The reason why his scared of a jet engine, he had a very serious accident while recording top gear, whilst in car that had a jet engine. it nearly left him permanent brain damaged. He does still have some problems with memory loss from the crash to this day.
If you like the jet engine then maybe check series 10 EP07 of "Scrapheap Challenge" where someone builds a working jet engine out of parts in 10 hours. It'll blow your mind :)
The Grand Tour is the same format as Top Gear, but it just has Amazons Budgets and not the BBCs. The early years of Top Gear there was more Car Reviews but they got less as the format grew into the challenges. There are some truly great Top Gear Challenges, The Amphibious Car Challenge 1 & 2 will have you in stitches. There us one where they turn a car into a tribute to the Space Shuttle and strap it to a HUGE rocket and launch it. There are whole episode specials that are 90-120min of "cocking about in cars" the best one of these is the Vietnam special but they are all great
Clear day you can see France from Dover, lots of people swim to France for charity - the bois also did an amphibious car challenge from Dover to Calais… Similar in Spain, Marbella across to Gibraltar on the south coast, you can see Morocco
I live near Dover. You can see France very clearly on a bright day. Its so close to Dover it was nicknamed hellfire corner because they could use their large guns to bombard the town.
The shot obv didn’t hit the shed 1st time but I’d love to know what went into hitting the shed with the same car like it dropped high and hit it spot on obv it was done with retakes but how did they get that great shot
Yes they left top gear and made this on amazon prime, they just released a speciL and one is in the editing ,will be out in december. Its one of the biggest shows on there
Yes you can see France from Dover, it doesn't need to be perfect just clear enough. you can almost smell the cowardice and garlic if you concentrate enough
Top Gear was all about the Challenges and specials and from my memory you’ve not watched any so until you do you can’t really compare Top Gear to the Grand Tour.
Hitler could see the cliffs of Dover from France - with bins. Dover to Calais between ports is 31 miles. I’m sure there’s some route that’s only 26 miles though! Can’t remember!
This is what I’ve always found disturbing about Top Gear - totally unnecessary wanton destruction. I know it’s funny but I can’t help thinking there’s someone out there thinking, “That car’s better than my car”; “Those hubcaps would make my car look really good”; “I could sell that car and take my kids on a mini-break”.
"This is what I’ve always found disturbing about Top Gear - totally unnecessary wanton destruction." 1.4 million cars scrapped in the UK every year. If you want hubcaps, try a scrap dealer. Also, before you can sell a car you first have to buy it.
You’re into history would you react to the only British territory to be occupied by the nazis during world war 2. Im from Guernsey in the channel islands and I’ve never seen a reaction to what happened to us during the war. In most of the uk people refer to us as nazi sympathizers just because we got invaded and occupied for 5 years even though we helped them escape Dunkirk and had all are militia troops taken over to England to fight in France leaving us completely un defended. m.th-cam.com/users/TimelineChannel

Yep that was one of the best things they have ever done
James spends most of his free time tinkering with old motorbikes, he's an incredible mechanic and Richard definitely knows what he's doing.
Jeremy has no idea how a car works. Literally no idea.
While Jeremy’s ways of fixing a car, is to smack it with a hammer till it works.
@@SaintPhoenixx wouldn't say literally no idea

I thought it was more dead than brain damaged
Yes... You can see France on a clear day..
Unfortunately
A blight on a good sea view lol
Haha indeed
Their view is better .
It helps remind us how much worse life could be
Connor, you need to check out the top gear episode where they turn a 3 wheel car (Reliant Robin) into a space shuttle!
Was just gonna say the same thing
That was one of the funniest episodes ever
That was epic🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Yes, that was epic. Also the Hovervan!
You can definitely see the outline of France on a clear day. You definitely could with those binoculars.
Hammond walking in a moderate tempo and keeping up is the best😂
If you like the jet engine then maybe check series 10 EP07 of "Scrapheap Challenge" where someone builds a working jet engine out of parts in 10 hours. It'll blow your mind :)
scrapheap challenge damn been a while since i watched that
The grand tour is a little hit and miss mostly because they have no boundaries whatsoever. And yet its always worth watching

Similar in Spain, Marbella across to Gibraltar on the south coast, you can see Morocco
Live in folkstone near Dover, and yes clear as day. Quite cool! Also we get French radio
Yes Connor on the rare occasions that we have a clear day you can see France.
None of the crew helped to build John, it was all Hammond and May (Jeremy made the doors).
I live near Dover. You can see France very clearly on a bright day. Its so close to Dover it was nicknamed hellfire corner because they could use their large guns to bombard the town.
I thought they were going to end up like Donald Campbell in that jet engined boat contraption.
The shot obv didn’t hit the shed 1st time but I’d love to know what went into hitting the shed with the same car like it dropped high and hit it spot on obv it was done with retakes but how did they get that great shot

As you can see this show is VERY EXPENSIVE! you won't believe the first introduction film, it cost a few millions
Yes you can see the French coast from East Sussex/Kent on a clear day.
On a very clear day u can see Calai from England it's mich easier to see england from claim because of the high cliffs. With naked eye

You can see France on a clear day even with the naked eye
Without Captain Slow, they wouldn’t get nowhere. Genius. Mulberry harbour.
I can’t believe the robin reliant rocket was not in this compilation
This was grand tour builds, not top gear, why wasn’t in compilation, Connor should still check the robin launch out tho do agree
Yes you can see France from Dover, it doesn't need to be perfect just clear enough. you can almost smell the cowardice and garlic if you concentrate enough
On a very good clear air day, Low humidity and good light ,
Please react to the Top Gear shuttle launch!
1:32 i don't know about england but i know that from the french coast u can see corsica so i imagine yes u can see england from france
Mate, Jeremy is a doctor of engineering, twice. There's nothing can surpass his genius.
Yes you can see France from the Dover area.
Yes from dover you can see france from dover its literally 23 miles from the cost of England to France
If I remember right, a lady swam to France some time in the sixties, and the only person to ever do it.
Top Gear was all about the Challenges and specials and from my memory you’ve not watched any so until you do you can’t really compare Top Gear to the Grand Tour.
Yes, you can see France from Dover on a sunny day, I have
Hitler could see the cliffs of Dover from France - with bins. Dover to Calais between ports is 31 miles. I’m sure there’s some route that’s only 26 miles though! Can’t remember!
On a good day, yes you can see France from Dover
I still think the best build was the Reliant Space Shuttle build.
Makes the hairs stand up on my neck every time I see that segment. I just wish that one bolt had not been missed....
Yes, from Dover you can see it
It is unfortunate that they didn't show you what happened when they first tried to drive the car they built. The steering was reversed!
Yes on a clear day you can see France from Dover.
I'm from Dover and yes you can see the lines of France across the ocean when on the beach
on a perfect clear day you can see France, and France can see the UK! the english channel is pretty small.
You should watch a full epsiode start with a scandi flick

I like how they can’t navigate their way to anywhere by satnav for shit, yet manage to find their way across Mongolia with a crudely drawn map..😂😂
Yeah... that trebuchet shot was faked as hell! Lol. 😂
You can see russia from the alaska island 10 miles away
You should always use the instructions.
Watch the top gear when they cross the English channel in 3 car boats ! 2 sank !!!
France is 21 miles from Britain. If any one could do it. It's them.
You can see dinghy divers preparing to come over yes .
