- A chatty life update colour and chat while I colour Mythographic Magical Earth by Joseph Catimbang. I wanted to let you all know why I may be a bit quiet on the video creation front - hopefully just for a short time!

We are very much feeling like Groundhog Day right now! It’s one step forward and two back. Hamish is doing very well with me - he is going to be Mum’s boy I think, but I’ve a lot to learn about what triggers he has with the intense fear. When we are out walking it can be very random and he regresses so fast it is mind blowing 😞 Thanks for watching, Jackie
Such a beautiful picture. The small addition amounts of dark by the lights have such an impact overall. So lovely to hear Hamish is making baby steps and becoming braver. Looking forward to hearing all about his journey ❤❤❤

Thanks Robyn! Hamish is doing better than I expected in some ways - he follows me everywhere and does the same with our grand-daughter but still nervous of my husband and son🙃 It is going to be a long and complex process!

Goodness knows what poor Hamish has been through. Thankfully, you and your family are prepared to give him a chance. I hope he continues to improve as the weeks, and years, hopefully, go bye. It really is awful to think what may have happened to him, doesn’t it? Though as you’ve seen on Instagram, he’s improving every day and doing a lot more than we expected of him at this point ❤️ He is fast becoming my shadow and listening to me, so I am so hopeful we can do some good training with him and he’s going to be a great companion 🤞
I'm sure Hamish will come to his own in time, those things never happen overnight. It's kinda funny to see how we colour kind of similarly, I too grab a pencil, add it all over the page and then grab next one etc. 🤣 And make the finished pages as long as you, the longer the better in fact - I enjoy listening to you explaining your process!!

Thank you so much ❤️ it has been a bit of work for me but hugely gratifying to see him look much happier and less afraid. He is also helping me a lot (personal issues), I might talk about that in future videos because I think the experience can be relevant to may life situations - even in something like a colouring hobby 😉 Thanks for watching and your good wishes, Jackie

Its lovely to hear you back again Jackie. You are a kind person to take on this little dog who has been mistreated dreadfully it seems...but border collies are very intelligent and I am sure things will work out for Hamish, you and hubby and little Evie too! I know how much time these fur babies take up as I have a little West Highland Terrier who is nearly 16 years old but they are worth it as they repay us with so much love and are such good company. Take each day quietly as you gain his confidence and I look forward to hearing not only about your beautiful coloring pages but also about Hamish if and when you have time.

Hi Cindy! I think he has a great character hiding beneath all the fear 🤞 he shows little glimpses of silliness now and then but it’s very much a slow process and lots of repetition. It’s quite tiring and I hope I am up to the task 😉
Hi Jackie I think you have what it takes😊 We had a border collie for 14 years then in 2022 had to say goodbye 😔 one day at a time lots of patience I think once he fully trusts you will have a best friend 😊💜
How good for you and your family to rescue that poor dog….i think it takes time but he we become fine, because he is trusting you. I don’t have a dog, i have cat’s, but i love see all animals rescued! Stunning colouring!

Thanks Sherry, as a stray turning up at the shelter, we are never going to know exactly what has happened to this dog. However, like so much in life, we hope that it isn’t going to define him and he can shine again 🤞he is making progress much quicker than we expected so far! ❤️

Congrats on your new addition! I have 3 cats, a dog and horse all rescues.
That is awesome! My grand daughter would love us to get a cat but hubby and I are very allergic to them 😞 Funnily enough horses came up in my allergy testing too, although I’ve had very little to do with them. I do love watching horses though, such beautiful animals ❤️ Thanks for sharing with me!

Thanks for another wonderful video. I begin to see that my lights somehow morph into darks on a page. I love your "embrace it and make it a feature" policy too. Im off to find out where my cat has put my white pencil, and to pkay a game of ball in the rain with my 2 anything -but-shy dogs. May the universe be kind to you and your family (be-tailed or not). And may time and kindness help Hamish find his lost joy in life.
Thanks Sharon, Hamish is making huge improvements every day ❤️ one day I’d love to introduce him as anything but shy 🤣 It’s really easy to lose those impactful lights and darks and become a jumble of mid tone, I often over-work things and lose the “edge”. When you look back with fresh eyes you tend to notice it. Like everything, practise and a little awareness and you start to work more instinctively 👍
