Koi Coloring Brush Pens in Fantasy Tiny Homes - Part 1

I experiment with, and demonstrate a few ways to use the Sakura Koi Coloring Brush pens in an Amazon printed colouring book. This video does end abruptly due to current technology issues I am experiencing and will be continued in part two.

I do so love watching you colour with water mediums. I find it soothes me, and then after a little while inspires me to have a try too. Thank you so much for sharing your colouring with us. I hope you feel better soon. By the way, I have discovered that the plastic container that most sets of FC connector pens come in has a smooth side and a textured side - a little like the specially made palettes I see some colourists use/recommend. Only this little plastic gem can be cut to whatever size suits! I thought this info might be interesting to a "lap colourist". Pats to Hamish.

Thanks Sharon, that’s a great idea for the Connector pens 👍🏻 these Koi pens have a similar packaging that could be used too….I might have to do some further experimenting 😉 Hamish is currently curled up on his bed fast asleep ❤️

I have some open stock koi, and the galaxy 6 set. I also bought the colourless blender. That’s a useful one and I ended up putting my own blender solution into it when it dried up. I prefer the nib to the Tombow ones too

I like using old markers for blending solution too, especially when they have good nibs 👍 Thanks for watching!

These types of markers work great on Bristol cardstock.. They move and blend wonderfully. Unfortunately coloring books are not great for pen to paper.

Yes, especially Amazon paper which is the acid test for me 😁 I’m going to try them in some other books too - they are lovely pens to work with 👍

I think I am going to start using my brush markers like this as I get really frustrated when you apply direct to paper and the colour is far too strong and then I dont know what to do with it ! I hope your feeling better now ? My daughter and I have an ongoing joke as she lives in Sydney and telling me its cold when its 14 degrees in Autumn there and I am in the UK and we have had quite a few weeks not getting much warmer than that and its supposed to be Summer :)

It was 3degrees Celsius when we got up this morning but warmed up a bit once the sun came out - compared with our Summer temps we think it’s cold 😁 A lot of the time we don’t dress appropriately enough either 🙄

Give this method a try, you might find it less frustrating with the darker colours 🤞🏻
