Chanel pricing has become ridiculous really, to the point of I just roll my eyes. Another price increase this week 🤦🏻♀️ The small classic flap now being £5,040 is silly imo. Saint Laurent quality is brilliant for the price and I have the same pouch and the Loulou Toy and really love them ☺️ I have never purchased the LV cosmetic pouch and I don’t even know why as I really like it! Think I need to put it on a wish list as think I forget about it...

As a small bag kind of girl, I LOVE SLGs and how versatile they can be! So many toiletries/pouches double as bags (with an insert/chain/etc) and I love it because I don't need a large purse and don't want to spend the money on one! Love your videos always Sophie!

Samorga makes insets for the LV toiletry pouches 15,19,26 that have little circle hooks on the ends. Not only does it keep toiletry organized, and clean but you instantly can hook on a chain/ strap of any kind and have a cute bag! I love mine for my 15 and 19! Super affordable too! BUT make sure to choose the size option WITH the added circle loop option they have ones without (the original style).
There are all kinds of inserts for LV on AliExpress and amazon as well. Really nice quality and affordable . I bought inserts for my Neverfull, speedy and toiletry pouch 26 there.
Chanel is pricing themselves out completely. Yet nowhere near close to Hermès quality. I really like YSL for pouches. Because they really can pass as clutches.
I'm just so over Chanel these days, they keep hiking up their prices during the pandemic and the quality doesn't get any better. I am such a Dior fan however though, their customer service and experience is always so good. 💖

I bought a Celine wallet last year for around $900. It still looks perfect. I have 2 small Goyard zip bags that I put inside my larger handbags. So useful and probably 3 years old. Still in great shape. I love SLGs. It is a cheerful little luxury to me.👝

I bought the LV cosmetic pouch in august, they had the toiletry pouch as well but I like the shape of the cosmetic pouch a lot better and the way that the zipper is 'tucked in'. I haven't used it yet because I rarely go out but I'm sure I'll use it a lot in the future and it will last a long time 😊
I honestly am not that interested in SLGs, I just need a few that matches with all my purses and boom I’m done with shopping. I prefer saving a few hundred more to getting an actual handbag rather than spending it all on SLGs. I also dislike the recent mini bag trends/ wallet-on-chain bags. Not very practical IMO.
I bought the LV cosmetic pouch earlier in the year and I use it every single day. It fits in my YSL camera bag perfectly along with my YSL fragments card holder, and sometimes I just empty the card holder and put everything in the pouch. Couldn't recommend it enough!!!

My number one most used item for the past 7 months has been my LV pochette accessoires - £450 when it's available. A fabulous budget pouch is the Coach wristlet. £60 for pebbled leather, really spacious and good colour choices.

Just wanted to share this to the other viewers, you can take the LV cosmetic pouch (GM or PM) into to a purse. I saw a video on youtube and made mines into a purse. Just add some D-rings from Amazon into the outer corner flap and add a strap. I added a chunky gold chain I got online and it's so pretty. ❤️
I actually use my phone a lot now! In Australia, my phone has apple pay for my cards and all my loyalty cards are electronic so I don't need a purse/wallet. I have a chanel card holder that I bought a while ago and it has gotten scruffy... the edges are getting a bit worn. I don't actually need a purse. I do have a bag; only one bag that I carry around and it's small. Most other times, I'll have a shopping bag as I don't have a car so I have to be practical (small bagpack or shopping bag). I have considered buying a keyholder but realised that my current keys are fine and if I buy one, it will weigh more (and cost a lot!). With covid and the fact that I hardly go out, I don't really need a fancy bag anymore. I still like looking and admiring but I can't justify the cost!!! We are opening up in Aust as our covid transmission rates are low and we have virtually no new cases so I have seen people going out and dressing up but since I don't actually get invited anywhere or go out much with friends (I'm always alone), I have no reason to dress up. I still admire lovely things though!

YSL has great quality. I just got the WOC and so impressed with how well constructed it is. I love it, but I’m hoping they come up with more style have an understated logo maybe. Chanel prices are ridiculous right now, but I do recommend the small card holder. It replaced my full sized wallet. It may seem expensive, but it actually fully fits everything I need for a wallet and I can fit it in all sizes bags.
That Gucci pouch had made a few appearances now in videos and each time it makes me want it more! I have both the LV cosmetic and the toiletry 19 and the 19 is better for sure. I highly recommend it!
I have vowed to stay away from lighter colours and slg's with zippers - those wear out so much easier. I bought a full leather wallet from Coach that I used to death. The zipper broke less than a year after I purchased it (sent it back for repair - darn thing broke again 6 months later) and it is so dirty it looks like it was run over (I have SCRUBBED it to get it clean to no avail). I love my LV Emreinte Key pouch and clemence wallet. Use it always and ever as well as my LV cosmetic pouch in vernis leather. Absolutely worth the money and all my products fit in. Not sure about the price nowadays but definitely worth the money. Love your videos you inspired me to start my fragrance related TH-cam channel. 💗🎀💗
I find LV canvas accessories really practical. I personally like to use LV SLGs because I know they can get tossed around in my bags and not have to worry about them!
I do really like SLGs but I am not the sort of person who has 20 card holders. That’s silly. I only have one of each of the items I like to use every day. But there is no need to spend huge amounts of money on them. Brands like Aspinal Of London, Longchamp, Kate Spade and Oroton have some beautiful ones for far than the high end brands and they are even less again preloved.
Exactly for this reason I only have a LV 6 keys holder which is fantastic and a mini pochette, love them both. But you´d better put that money towards a bag... I was about to comment on that Lady Dior that´s behind you on your last video - I honestly wasn´t sure if it´s a real thing or some kind of promotion present you were given, it is sooo cute! I must have missed a video where you were talking about it but it is absolutely adorable! :-)
I have a YSL cardholder with a flap/mini wallet which I love and look after because there isn’t anything like it at my normal price point - The Bridge, Coach, Mulberry & so forth, but it does live in an unbranded catchall alongside a diary, couple of pens etc, in a tote. My favourite is The Bridge tote and I also have a Cambridge satchel. Very practical.
I have the Dior oblique beauty case, a LV cosmetic case, Gucci cosmetic case, Gucci vanity case and the Fendi terrycloth beauty pouch in pink. I LOVE designer pouches. I just use them as catch all’s in my tote bags.
I would recommend looking at the Prada leather trimmed shell cosmetics pouch as a bucket bag option! Richelle on TH-cam recommended this one and it turned out to be a great "covid bag" for me since it's mostly nylon. I got a chain strap to attach to the grommets on each side and it's been SUCH a fun option. The price is really good too...something like 270 pounds, I believe?
SLGs are good as gifts for people who I know love their designer goods. Practical and the designs are usually classic. The Fendi cosmetic bag looks good (might get it for a gift) and I agree, the YSL one is great for an evening out

Watching this video I just realised I haven't bought a bag this year - wow. I was about to buy a tote for uni in February (thanks to Sophie and her incredibly cute Dior tote), but I decided to wait because I had spent a lot on things for school, then... well we all know what happened. very nice! also, when I run into a store, I'm often just carrying my credit card. I'm in and OUT. I found I can put a nice cosmetic bag in my lockable glove box. It really works well, I have my STUFF, but don't have to carry a whole bag into a store.
I find my SLGs the best money I've spent. esp the LV 6 key. Sometimes that's all I take out with me. Sometimes its just the 6 key and my mono eclipse card holder. I still use my pochette accessoire as well. Chanel is trying to be Hermes without the quality, amazing workmanship and beautiful leathers. They are failing.
Im glad i got my chanel coin purse when i did. I think they have gone up over $100 on the website in the last few year's. I get why they do it, but its just absurd now. I also got a YSL cardholder and it is SO HANDY!! i really love it. I regret not buying it earlier cause it went up in price too 😅 im definitely done for slgs now. It will be a bag or nothing next i think. Slgs are just too expensive 😫
The LV vanity bag is curved like an Alma, it takes more workmanship to make it than a straight-lined bag. Same with the Dior; it's curved. This is reflected in the price.
I really do love the channel designs, I just feel their prices are going way out of reach now. You can get something just as well made for a fraction of the price.💗
I love an SLG that matches the bag and I don't like makeup or toiletries in leather bags because of the risk of spillage. At the moment I'm not buying anything expensive because of this shaky economy.

I bought that LV cosmetic pouch ( my first LV purchase) back in '99. I use it all the time and it's aged beautifully. Quality was amazing back then!
I love my LV Emreinte Key pouch and clemence wallet. Use it always and ever as well as my LV cosmetic pouch in vernis leather. Absolutely worth the money and all my products fit in. I find LV canvas accessories really practical. I personally like to use LV SLGs because I know they can get tossed around in my bags and not have to worry about them!

I do really like SLGs but I am not the sort of person who has 20 card holders. That’s silly. I only have one of each of the items I like to use every day. But there is no need to spend huge amounts of money on them. Brands like Aspinal Of London, Longchamp, Kate Spade and Oroton have some beautiful ones for far than the high end brands and they are even less again preloved.
Exactly for this reason I only have a LV 6 keys holder which is fantastic and a mini pochette, love them both. But you´d better put that money towards a bag... I was about to comment on that Lady Dior that´s behind you on your last video - I honestly wasn´t sure if it´s a real thing or some kind of promotion present you were given, it is sooo cute! I must have missed a video where you were talking about it but it is absolutely adorable! :-)
Yes I was distracted by it too! It's way too mini to be a mini so I was also thinking along the lines of a display ornament? I wish I knew too!

Another brand I’ve been loving is Longchamp! They have some very well priced pouches and cases that I’ve been using nonstop when I do go out.
I have a YSL cardholder with a flap/mini wallet which I love and look after because there isn’t anything like it at my normal price point - The Bridge, Coach, Mulberry & so forth, but it does live in an unbranded catchall alongside a diary, couple of pens etc, in a tote.
My favourite is The Bridge tote and I also have a Cambridge satchel. Very practical.

I have the Dior oblique beauty case, a LV cosmetic case, Gucci cosmetic case, Gucci vanity case and the Fendi terrycloth beauty pouch in pink. I LOVE designer pouches. I just use them as catch all’s in my tote bags.
I would recommend looking at the Prada leather trimmed shell cosmetics pouch as a bucket bag option! Richelle on TH-cam recommended this one and it turned out to be a great "covid bag" for me since it's mostly nylon. I got a chain strap to attach to the grommets on each side and it's been SUCH a fun option. The price is really good too...something like 270 pounds, I believe?

SLGs are good as gifts for people who I know love their designer goods. Practical and the designs are usually classic. The Fendi cosmetic bag looks good (might get it for a gift) and I agree, the YSL one is great for an evening out

Hi Sophie, hope you have had a good weekend. I'm currently snuggled up on the sofa with the fire on....bliss. I don't have any luxury brand SLGs, I wouldn't treat them properly and most pouche type bags are too small for me. (Though the YSL could tempt me). Do love a logo belt though!

I just feel like without a wallet, things will be flying around in the bag or pouch😂💔

Watching this video I just realised I haven't bought a bag this year - wow. I was about to buy a tote for uni in February (thanks to Sophie and her incredibly cute Dior tote), but I decided to wait because I had spent a lot on things for school, then... well we all know what happened. Since then, the few times I have hit the shops I've barely glanced at the bags, just card holders and cosmetic cases. So weird! Can totally relate to this video, haha.

Hey Sophie I just wanted to ask your views on the LV Keepall Bandouliere 45, I'm thinking of getting it in the Monogram Macassar and would really like your advice, as to whether I should get it or not and if it's worth the money (£1400)
There are some bag organizers on Amazon that you can buy and put in LV toiletry then attach your own chain or your other LV straps on it.
I too have been using vanity cases/toiletry pouch during this time.

very nice! also, when I run into a store, I'm often just carrying my credit card. I'm in and OUT. I found I can put a nice cosmetic bag in my lockable glove box. It really works well, I have my STUFF, but don't have to carry a whole bag into a store.
I find my SLGs the best money I've spent. esp the LV 6 key. Sometimes that's all I take out with me. Sometimes its just the 6 key and my mono eclipse card holder. I still use my pochette accessoire as well. Chanel is trying to be Hermes without the quality, amazing workmanship and beautiful leathers. They are failing.
Im glad i got my chanel coin purse when i did. I think they have gone up over $100 on the website in the last few year's. I get why they do it, but its just absurd now. I also got a YSL cardholder and it is SO HANDY!! i really love it. I regret not buying it earlier cause it went up in price too 😅 im definitely done for slgs now. It will be a bag or nothing next i think. Slgs are just too expensive 😫

The LV vanity bag is curved like an Alma, it takes more workmanship to make it than a straight-lined bag. Same with the Dior; it's curved. This is reflected in the price.
I'm surprised how Saint Laurent doesn't hold its value like all these other brands. In my experience their quality is on par or even better.
I really do love the channel designs, I just feel their prices are going way out of reach now. You can get something just as well made for a fraction of the price.💗

I love an SLG that matches the bag and I don't like makeup or toiletries in leather bags because of the risk of spillage. At the moment I'm not buying anything expensive because of this shaky economy.

Samorga makes an inset for the LV toiletry pouch 15,19, 26 that have little rings on both ends of The insert. You can hook any type of chain handle to the inserts and it instantly makes it a bag! Super adorable solution!
