    I've got a grapple already, but I would definitely consider purchasing one of these. The grapple I have is handy as all get out, but having one on a traditional bucket would work for a whole different set of chores. Especially for those times where you might worry about something poking through the grill. I would never get rid of my root grapple, but this could add some handy features for a reasonable price. Thanks for sharing this!

      I agree with you. I think this would be good for stuff like rocks, but for brush and logs, I like the root grapple. I picked up a 74" grapple at about the same price point as the double, new at auction.

    i've had a add a grapple for about 16-18 yrs. it's as valuable to me as my front end loader is to my tractor. i used it to clear my property. i cleared it with a chainsaw, a massey 1240 and an add a grapple. it made it so easy to move brush.

    I put the smallest size one on my Kubota BX25D last summer, and I have been really pleased. Installing a Summit 3rd function was a little complicated, but not awful. Installing the AddAGrapple itself was easy. I have a Piranha tooth bar on the bucket all the time, and the grapple works nicely with it.
    I did remove it once, and it's not hard. Putting it back on was a little fiddley, but not difficult. I spray a little lithium grease on the wear points from time to time, and I don't see any wear. I use it hard, and have flexed it when picking up irregular snags, but it has not bent permanently. With the bucket on, you can't see the pickup as well as with a full grapple, but that's only a minor annoyance. The grapple actually helps with loads of dirt-- I can use it to help loosen a compacted pile, and it helps in not losing dirt when you bounce on a rough surface.
    Altogether, it's a great tool.

    That grapple is a million times better than no grapple at all. I built one very similar years ago and did a lot of work with it. I built a newer version a couple years ago. It weighs around 115 pounds and it never comes off my bucket. That video really makes me want a tractor with a self-leveling loader. You have an awesome set up with all that ballast weight and self-leveling loader and your many many attachments. I’m very jealous of you and your college basketball supremacy…

      I don’t think it would be worth your time to drive to my house just to see the dozen or so implements and modifications I have made to my tractor. I probably live further from you than I actually realize also. I’m 20 miles south of Coffeyville down Highway 169. If you were coming this way for something else it might be worth your time to stop and look at some of my stuff. Most of it is nothing special but I have done a couple of things that are kind of neat. One original implement that I’ve never seen anything like it. And some other modifications that might be unique as well.…

    Really neat product. Please do a review in a few months on the durability. It is priced right as well. (Around $1K). However, shipping is the kicker. Almost $400 to ship it to the northeast. My guess that is inflated due to the current economic conditions. I’d love to get one, but with the shipping being 1/3 of the price, it’s a no go for now. Again, thank you for reviewing, I’ll keep it on my radar for the next several months.

Years ago, that used to be the only kind of grapple that you ever saw...then marketing took over and everyone started manufacturing dedicated grapples that aren't good for anything except grapple use. Now everyone thinks this is a new, novel idea. Good to see history repeating itself. LOL. I never have and never would spend the money for a dedicated grapple....the grapple on the loader bucket is much more versatile and you don't have to waste time switching implements. If you want to make it even more effective, bolt a few teeth to the bottom of the bucket for better grip on everything.

      They have much larger versions if you mean a bobcat skid loader.
      I didn’t specifically ask about the Add a Grapples on a skidloader but they do make grapples for skid loader’s
      He showed me their largest Grapple they make which has a 74 inch opening and weighs 1400 pounds

    Brock, I went to their website but there does not seem to be a way to order. I even did a search for a dealer within 200 miles of my home location and still nothing. Are you aware of a way to order and apply your code? Keep up the great work.

      I think it’s because the delivery is to a residential location. I am going to ask my Deere dealership in the morning to see if they will accept delivery. Let’s see what the shipping is to their location. This grapple would be a very cool addition to the bucket. For the “heavy lifting” I have my Artillian. Thanks again for everything.

    I've been looking to add a grapple to my pin style bucket on my Mahindra. I called the dealer they told me around 5K to do it. This gives me an option. No to see how to add the 3rd function, since I only have a duel function.

      They have an add a valve kit for $500. You can easily install it yourself
      This cost a little under $1000 for the Add a Grapple
      I’m going to say most of that $5000 was labor cost for something you could probably easily do yourself

      Here is my factory tour video that I did with the owner of the company. Towards the end of the video he in boxes and demonstrates the third function kit

      I did. You are the first to notice.
      When I was digging out around that root cellar it got caught on the guttering.
      I didn’t think I had done any damage until a few days later when I noticed it
      After this video I bent it back up but you can still see where it is a little messed up

    There is no cheap grapple. And if you don't have 3rd function valve. There are another exspence. I bought the bolt on top.

    • @RockhillfarmYT
      @RockhillfarmYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely no cheap option but when other options are 4000 and you can do it for 2000 then that is the cheapest.
      2000 is still a lot
      The video I released today demonstrates putting a third function diverter on

    Their website is terrible, they have no pricing and you have to go through a dealer, so there's really no advantage of going with them than John Deere.

      Figured that you had it. I still like my “old” grapple that I bought in December. I just added the tooth to both grapples. Haven’t used it with those on it but I think it will do the trick for me. Keep up the great work.

    Where is your basketball net?

    • @RockhillfarmYT
      @RockhillfarmYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting question. All of the rainwater from our downspouts ends up in that spot and it’s taken a while for the ground to dry and pack around that sono tube
      I really needed to do a better job of packing in the dirt in layers when I refilled that hole. I’m thinking I should probably cover that in another video because you could run into a problem, if you repeated what I did
      If I had put the basketball goal up when I was originally planning to, i’m not sure if it would’ve held it. I think it could have leaned under the weight
