In the past, Spitting image had to frequently exaggerate things. Sometimes they predicted events (currie and major... they thought it to outrageous to be real)... now?

@@robertcasey966 I don't agree with what you're saying. But it could just as easily have been socially engineered. What interest would China have in making Billionaire's richer. Most countries have suffered economically due to Covid anyways. Why would politicians have any interest in making these companies richer anyway. They're already swimming in cash and other than a president or prime Minister, who would be interested in talking to a random politician. Plus they all get a benefit of they stay in Parliament long enough.
If only this government were actually this decent and caring in real life.

Spitting Image used to be funny because it exaggerated all the various traits of the politicians.

I swear Sunak’s voice changes every time
It really does. In the Fox Man sketch he sounded more nasally, in the Rishi Sunak Christmas song sketch he sounded more refined and upper class and in the sketch where Cummings was reading his mind he sounded like his throat was blocked up. Why do they keep doing this?

I checked Rishi's Voice actor on Wikipedia and it listed it as Gus Khan, however Gus Khan isn't listed as a voice actor in this episode's credits. So it seems like they changed it

As an oldie the new Spitting Image lacks some of the bite of the original but it seems to be finding its feet now.

probably because if the last season was anything to go by, this show is not nearly savage enough. The voices are off and the jokes are too on the nose. The only redeeming feature are the puppets. Newzoids did this format alot better.
@@obnoxiousbastard The original show's cast-list of impressionists reads like a "Who's Who" of 80s and 90s British Comedy - Steve Coogan, Chris Barrie, Harry Enfield, etc. HIgh bar to try to match. Don't know why they don't try getting a few of them back. These days they could probably literally phone it in - and I mean that in the technological sense, not the half-arsing it sense.
