Good stuff! A big issue i have with rig package's is normally my creations are anthro and non-humanoid. this looks like a huge step up of a update! thanks for the lovely video
Thank you for this update! It’s been a long time for me to get back into blender and to begin to use your plug-in. So glad Blender 3.4 is out. No more excuses for me. 🎉
When I bought ARP in 2019 it was a totally different story, I could not even rig a character with a tail. It would think the tail was the character's back and it would mess up the spine. Maybe it's time to buy it again now that it can rig anything.
I noticed that you also picked up the hard surface rigging course from creative shrimp. I just finished that course myself and I was wondering if you had any plans for a video using ARP to rig something like the robot in that course?
@@CGDive thanks for your fast reply, there is any possibility to get a tutorial of how to customize the "meta rig" ? I tried to add a simple empty bone but it disappear when I press metch the rig
I want to generate a skeleton for Unreal Engine with one click, so that I just have to assign my new character to the UE-mannequin in UE. Is this possible with Auto-Rig Pro?
@@CGDive thank you for exploring the different options with both. I asked this questions because I wasn’t sure about buying pierricks rigging course or just going with the addon
@@majestic8274 yeah, it's a personal choice. I think knowing both automatic and manual is great for people who are at least somewhat serious about rigging.
@@CGDive thats awesome they should give it to you for free you will make it grow by your tutorials Try to focus on loading faceit expressions and differences between arkit and audio2face and tounge just make it in depth series like rigify
My "default" is still Rigify because I spent so much time exploring it and I know its quirks. I haven't gone too deep into customizing ARP. My limited experience is that it allows really nice customization and custom riggings that work with the auto-generated ones. My opinion on ARP vs Rigify is here th-cam.com/video/o9fjDhVfnDg/w-d-xo.html

I haven't tested but I think this has been possible for a while already. It will export as UE5 by default and there is an option to export as "UE4 Legacy". Taka a good look at the export settings.
@@CGDive i did that, didn't work, but this time i chose bendy bones in secondary controllers of Autorig, and again clicked on match to rig, this time it worked. thanks anyway bro
so glad that youre doing ARP stuff. Ive been trying to learn it before myself but your tutorials are a godsend.

You don't need to buy it again, you get free updates :)
Just grab the latest version.

@@blenderblender792 Yes, then you do :P
So good to see addons like this
Thank you for this very helpful information
Great features!
Hi, do you have a tutorial about switching between IK-FK in ARP?
I must have shown it somehwere in the series. Just go to Tool, select any control of the arm and set the IK-FK Switch value to 0 for IK or 1 for FK.
Do you have videos that show how corrective shapes are set up?
Not yet. I should make one ...
@@CGDive Looking forward to it, I just bought the plug in. :)
It is possible to use autorig pro for a biped with cat ears and tail? should I add the other bones manualy?
Sure, just add "Limbs" in Edit Reference Bones mode :)
I have been looking for head squash and stretch functionality in ARP. Is there any that you know of?
I am not sure, I think I saw something like that in an ARP demo.
Thank you. How I rigging the snake use Auto rig pro?? I could not find on TH-cam
Yes, rigging a snake is difficult. Your best chance is to use the Spline IK rig in ARP.
I'll try to make a video about that in the future.
Thank you. I hope the future coming soon :-)
FYI the stable version of 3.4 is out now!
Yeah, it was just released 😆
Hello sir .....I have a question...
Can I use mixamo bone plus face rigging .......and there support in mixamo??
Like that?

I noticed that you also picked up the hard surface rigging course from creative shrimp. I just finished that course myself and I was wondering if you had any plans for a video using ARP to rig something like the robot in that course?
ARP doesn't really have tools for rigging robots. It will basically be manual rigging with some arp stuff here and there: )
hello! do someone know if i can just set simple face rig just with eyes and mouth open\close controller?
You can set that up manually. Try adding the necessary bones to the reference armature, then press Match to Rig.
@@CGDive thanks for your fast reply, there is any possibility to get a tutorial of how to customize the "meta rig" ? I tried to add a simple empty bone but it disappear when I press metch the rig
@@MalpTheCrow yeah, I'll definitely do that. Please give me some time however :)
Of course, really appreciate ❤️
Wondering after exporting to unreal engine, does it work with control rig automatically please or it needs to be set up for control rig again?
I am going to have a video about exporting to UE later on. For now, consult the Manual or ask the addon developer!
@@CGDive thank you soooo much. It is only after watching your videos I bought autorig pro.
@@jumpingfrog4323 Oh, nice. I'll be making more for sure. I have a bunch of ideas but there is some other stuff to take care of right now.
I want to generate a skeleton for Unreal Engine with one click, so that I just have to assign my new character to the UE-mannequin in UE. Is this possible with Auto-Rig Pro?
Yes, you can export a human ARP rig for UE and it automatically converted to a Mannequin. I don't have much experience or tutorials about that tho.
@@CGDive Thanks.
Hey cgdive. What’s your opinion on rigging manually vs rigging with other software? Do you think one is better than the other?
I think both have their usage and I use both. My opinion in a nutshell:
