      Yeah, but when it’s a guard on a horse shouting, the horse always reacts with stress, mostly because the guard has to pull/yank the reins out of the hands of the tourists, causing pain in the mouth of the horse.

      @joannathatcares หลายเดือนก่อน

      Horses that can't be pet shouldn't be around public people at all. That's the first sign of lack of desensitization and high risk of injury for themselves or those around.

    • @Sonderborg75
      @Sonderborg75 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@joannathatcares You’re completely missing the fact and point, that these horses aren’t meant to be pet. They’re meant to stand guard. If you want to pet a horse, go to a petting zoo. Petting these horses are the tourists’s need, not the horse’s.

    There’s been a massive improvement in the touching of the horses. I think people forget how horrible it used to be, where you could barely see the horses face there’d be so many hands on it at once. The horse would be so crowded in with tourists around it. It is so much better now.

    Unfortunately it does send a mixed message when they see some people able to touch the horse and they are not in uniform.
    I believe just many of the LG have said no to touching the horse as B&R as those that have turned a blind eye. I think it must be difficult for the troopers to have to do a complete 180 and say you can't touch when previously they had said you can. The troopers need to get used to the new rule as much as the tourists. But there is definitely a lot less touching, even more since the new sign with the horses head.

    I totally agree with you concerning having more signs. It would also be helpful if all the guards would be consistent with speaking up to the tourists. Also, quietly spoken words by the guards to the tourists seems to work well. That gives the guard a choice of whether to speak in a loud or soft voice. Some guards may not like speaking loudly to tourists so soft voice also seems to work.
