pls I need the measurements that you used for the FITTINGS on the hoses that are connected to the radiator and if you have photos how the FITTINGS to the transmission look thk
Man I got my truck going was doing awesome hooked up small box trailer been driving all day stop and go trans temp went from 190-230 so I let off pulled to my buddy shop swapped fluid and filter everything seems fine just when I drive it all day long it gets to 190 and won’t come down has -10 lines to deral cooler with fan mounted on side of bed I did clean cooler and washed it but I think it’s not big enough one and two it’s not getting fresh air while driving I live in San Diego tx
I have a 2008 6.7 ram i noticed that when i tow over 10,000 pound s the transmission gets hot,,any suggestions, i live in Florida where temperature is extremely hot
This transmission cooler will make a world of difference. The other thing you can try, but won’t be as effective is connecting a strong external fan to your stock transmission radiator.
They'll be in and out. I flushed mine with acetone when my transmission grenaded. Unless the heat exchanger failed you could just join the coolant lines together and remove the exchanger altogether. I took mine off to clean.
Did this make a huge difference for anyone? I am getting around 200 degrees climbing hills or pulling a 10k 5th wheel on a slight grade. I have a mag hytec deep pan with a stock cooler which might be my issue since it takes longer to cool more fluid.
I recently installed the Mishimoto transmission cooler on my truck and bypassed my heat exchanger. My question is what kind of transmission temperatures do you run in stop and go traffic. I have a 10,000 pound travel trailer I pull behind my truck and was really wondering if I need to install a auxiliary cooler for my transmission.
The trans cooler is one of the best investments I've made on my truck.
Agreed! Huge difference!
What difference that is ?
I plan on going to unrivaled diesel to get mine done i just did my transmision and want it to have super cool temps
Worth every penny!

LOVE how Dodge owners crap on Dodges ("We didn't really want a Dodge, but if you buy a Cummins, the Dodge pickup comes with it").
Sorry if it’s a stupid question but I’m still learning. The small cooler under the trans cooler is the power steering cooler correct?
It is yeah!
I think I got a mishimoto equipped one ton setting here now that burned up a transmission before he got to Texas from Oklahoma
Sounds like he as got some problems lol
still one of the baddest dodges ive ever seen
I appreciate that man!

There is a thing called operating temperature. And I thing 110° is not operating temperature for an automatic transmission.
Yeah man my thoughts as well I believe 140 is a good operating temp
Can u drop a link to the Lines, and fittings that were used on you trans cooler upgrade?
Hello ✌🏾.. how I know what is the position of the lines.?? Like were is going the hot and the cold one ?

what radiator did you go in with? That all aluminum looks great!
It actually was like $250 on ebay. Chris recommended it. It's worked great so far!
@@LMDiesel how long have you had it in there sir?
@@johntevebaugh7451 about 2 months! That plus the 180° thermostat makes a big difference!
@@LMDiesel Do you happen to remember the vendor or brand? Is it a two core?
@@kevinpeterson9659 it was a 3 row Radiator from ebay. I believe the company was called ASI
Did you have to cap the fittings on the exchanger? When you bypass it.
I dont believe so.

Just got one of these today, i imagine youd have to top of the fluid, right?
Yup!
what if you live up north? would you still bypass the heat exchanger and keep the thermostat on the cooler?
If your truck is mostly stock, I'd say that's fine! If you have a crazy setup then I would bypass

This is a huge upgrade! My trans almost never goes over 150
@LM Diesel how hot did it get before? And also did you do the thermostat delete. My truck is a few years older and has a 47re
@@Jdl223 I did do the thermostat delete. And I got mine up to 220 once.
@@LMDiesel awesome thank you! I'll have to pick one up

Honestly, after installing the cooler, the hottest I've seen my transmission get is like 175. As long as it's in tow haul, It should be fine
@@LMDiesel good to know, thanks for the quick reply
Oh course man! Happy to help!
@@talleyho111 what kind of temps have you seen hauling the trailer with the new setup ?
How much did it cost ? The transmission cooler
What opens the damn check valve now ?
Aren't you the guy who hit a Lambo with a squatted truck?
Lol that was not me. I hate squatted trucks
That may have been whistlin diesel
110⁰ transmission is too cool, you are hurting the transmission. Put the thermostat back in.
Been running it like this for like 2 years. No issues!
