@sisselab I think it'd be really cool. I've been living in Korea for about 3 months now, though it's not my first time here. I love watching your vlogs because I get to see what other people are experiencing here, and it always is so enlightening as to what else there is for me to experience as well.
Loved the vlog as usual 💛 I think the idea of covering other people’s stories with your usual cinematic and healing style would be really refreshing. I remember that I consumed soooooo much content from different creators in Korea before I moved here (& still do). But sometimes now I feel like I get so bogged down in just the living and surviving in Korea that I forget to look at the beautiful and exciting parts of this experience more closely. I learn every day, especially online, that although us foreigners in Korea are inexplicably bonded over some very similar experiences (both unbelievably wonderful and sometimes ridiculously frustrating), we’re all also living very different lives. There’s so much to learn and take from other people’s experiences, so much to be inspired by and ways to learn to grow. Ultimately, we’re all here trying to create the best lives for ourselves in Korea. I personally gain a lot from seeing the way other people are living and sharing my experiences too!

I appreciate your idea of the new series! Although I like your videos, your experiences and social circle in Korea are so different to mine when I lived there as an office-job intern and later as a PhD student. It sometimes feels like we lived in two different countries 😅

Hi Sissel! I want to say that I love your vlogs, they always encourage me a lot. I think your idea for new types of videos is super interesting! I think there are a lot of aspects from living in Korea as I foreigner that people really don't know or want to accept because they kinda romantize the country without thinking the challenges foreigners really have to go through.
Yes absolutely! Unfortunately influencers gets absolutely bashed if they mention too much of negatives of living here - it’s a sad fact. But I would love to show a balanced and 100% honest experience of living here - wether that’ll be positive or negative or a mix. Everyone has such different experiences here 💚

I love the idea of the new serie! I’m watching your blogs for few years now and to be honest, you’re one of the very few TH-camrs that I don’t get bored of. They’re inspiring, aesthetic, funny, real, and more! But the idea of meeting new people, spending time with them and getting to know them, as well as, sharing experiences of their side living in Korea would be something very interesting and educating. I feel like many people still look at Korea through pink glasses and kdramas. That might be also a way of break the bubbles and spare people some disappointment later on if they plan to visit or move to Korea.
Besides that, loved the vlog, and I might not get around taxes in Korea yet, but I understand struggle of fighting with Korean websites…

This is an awesome idea, i think sharing stories and experience is great because this will allow not only for you to meet and experience another humanbeing's narrative but your audience can also be involved.in this process . Love the series idea! I live in a smaller city in Korea and it’s definitely a bit different than the vlogs I watch from people living in Seoul. I’d love to see other foreigners’ perspective of living in Korea (and participate myself if the opportunity arises and I find the courage hahah!!)
Side note, Koreans have the same reaction to me when I tell them I love 청국장 ㅎㅎㅎ every time my school serves it for lunch my coworkers are shocked watching me eat it… even though they’ve definitely seen me eat it before lol. The smell is definitely a bit overwhelming but the taste is just *chefs kiss*

I struggle as a foreigner with the bank here in France such a pain especially when it is with your money! I think your idea sounds so great, would love to see other points of view. It’s hard to be approved for credit cards tbh, so lots of foreigners has to do with a silly debit that won’t work half of the time. Trying to get that sorted out now 😭💚

I commented already but had some extra thoughts, sorry :') if you do go ahead with your video idea would love to see perspectives of people outside of Seoul or another big city. I feel like people's view of Korea is really big city focused; also selfishly I would love some reccs/ideas of what others do when they live 'outside' haha. Also, not sure how feasible it is, but people of different backgrounds, older people, different jobs (like corporate, or service jobs) would be really interesting! Sorry just throwing some random thoughts out there as I do love your idea🙃

I think(my personal opinion you don’t have to do it if it doesn’t benefit you) you should start changing the content you post cos you have 700k+ subscribers and max views you get is 50k it should be around a million views for that much subscribers personally I’ve subscribed to your channel cos your makeup videos and soul room tours. Cafe vlogs aren’t that interesting to watch I do really enjoy you talking and explaining things about everything it’s entertaining and educating thanks for reading such a long comment 😅
I’ve changed my niche a million times for the almost 10 years I’ve been on this platform - it’s only natural that many of the people who subscribed to me when I did makeup videos don’t watch me anymore. Also, actually TH-camrs should aim to get views that are 10% of their subscribers. So my views are a bit low yes, but a million is a far stretch 🤣 💚
