- Remastered the sound a bit and the video as best I could. I think it came off pretty good. I took the big old symbol off the beginning by using the alternate video they did, and sticking that over the top with a basic title tag. Enjoy! One of my favorite songs from that time period.
She blew once, and she blew me twice. She gotta hold of my dirty device. One of the greatest lyrics of this time period. I can't believe my old burned out fragile eggshell mind, remembered this song! It's been a little over 30 years since I heard this. Somebody in my house mentioned 7 o'clock, and my brain found this file down in the sun basement lol.! God Bless and Rock On people!

Damn I love this band! That's the kind of raunchy, raucous, and RIGHTEOUS rock & roll we all need to set our lives alight! I was lucky enough to see this band in of all places, The Back Alley Bar & Grill in Calgary, MB, and they just pounded the house down!
I knew we were going to be in for a grand time when I saw the keyboardist sporting the good old Hammond B3, yes, with a Leslie! I swear, that keyboardist was the 2nd star of the band! They just pounded the house down!
And in a break, I was close enough to the bar to hear the singer tossing out accolades to the singer of Stampede Queen, and back to him from him! Gracious and great! Long live the London Quireboys!
Lead singer looks and sounds like Phil Lewis from L.A. Guns..

ncbabe1106 Both of their voices have similarities that even a deaf person could hear. I'm not saying they're exact, but close. Phil Lewis is a little more high pitched, and less "gravelly" voiced then Spike though.. Nothing wrong with that anyways, both bands are killer.

I saw them in the UK just before covid hit. We had just watched two support acts & went outside for a smoke break. Spike comes wandering along with his suitcase obviously late, but he took the time to talk to the fans outside. Once on stage he apologised to the people inside & to his band for being late & having made people wait. Classy guy.
what memories! I recall them playing in a Barcelona club in the eary 90s... ufff... time really flies!

You know they listened to a lot of The Faces when they were kids.
This is undeniable, obviously. But a story from the time when it the first lp came out. A mate, who wasnt into the same music came roun and I was playing this. He looked disgusted, crying indignantly 'Who are these? I hope these people are penniless and living on the streets after Rod and Woody have finished suing them!' Then he listened a bit longer and added 'Mind you, better to sound like the Faces and sound cool than be original and sound sh*t'

It might sound a little rod / small faces, but the lead singers classic vocal tone is not his fault. Nor is the classic rock sound / recording of this kick ass song either. Don't hate. Just enjoy. Cool?
