After living 5 decades (+4 years), listening to this, brings back so many great memories of my teen years… Forever young (at heart) and great full I got to live the best of the 80’s…
Man when this came out I still remember being 6 yrs old riding to IWS with my buddy Freddy. He was my neighbor and already a teenager but he would let me hang and was also teaching me how to skateboard. Even though he was so much older he would treat me like I wasn't a little kid. With respect. It meant alot to me. And teaching me how to skateboard helped me in my life cuz it was my passion for many years and even different periods in my life. Every time I hear this song I think of my friend and that ride with the windows down jamming to this thinking I was so grown. I was definitely in paradise lol. Those moments impact u in many ways. Freddy wherever u are in the world I hope u doing awesome my brotha. Thanks for the friendship and great memories. This one's for u!
I remember when"Eat em' and smile" came out. Didn't expect too much from it but man was I blown away by it! So naturally I had to buy his other solo albums. Eat em' was the best one.
'88 was a good year. This is a bit "campy" to listen to now....but it fit the '80's so well. I miss that time. No internet, no cell phones. People actually hung out and talked to each other, face to face. And we got our music from the radio and MTV. Simpler....better times, for sure. I was lucky to have grown up in the '70's and '80's.
I miss the time i never got to live in, Music WAS better than todays garbage, I do prefer to speak and hang out with people face to face cuz its funner and more real.
Have to admit...he was what most people came to see in a van Halen concert, still have not seen any rock stars that could do a high kick like him!!! Oh and Van Halen( the band) they were good
What a great song! David Lee Roth, one of the finest Front Men of the 1970's-1980's. Fun to watch and listen to with endless energy. "Diamond Dave Rocks!"
Hearing this song on the radio was like learning magic is real. I wore out my Skyscraper tape I loved the album so much. This iteration of the band was phenomenal.
This is one of my favorite songs. I cracked up when I heard Just Like Paradise on this year's "Treehouse Of Horror" (Halloween) episode of The Simpsons.
great music, playing baseball, hanging out at the pool on summer days, good movies at theaters, riding my bike all over the city, football winters, everybody getting along and very little violence, chasing girls at schools and having a crush or two, staying up late on summer nights, specially to watch Cinemax on Fridays.....indeed the 80s were paradise
David has a style of his own, can write great music & knows how to rock n roll. Love this song and video. Rocked to this song when it came out and still rockin' to it in 2020.

Hello Joan, how are things going with you?
Got to see him in concert on the tour to support this album. Man what a great show. The 80s truly were the best time to be a teen.
Mr. Roth is a unique individual. He continues to blow me "out of the water". Keep "livin' in Paradise. Thanks for all the memories. Thank you all behind the "scenes". ps. No Feuding you two (Edward and David). You both are great. RIP Mr. Edward Van Halen... We miss you.
After living 5 decades (+4 years), listening to this, brings back so many great memories of my teen years… Forever young (at heart) and great full I got to live the best of the 80’s…
He is just the best. I cant say no more. Fun, genius, great voice, creative, just super intelligent..
David at his best no question! This band is outstanding!!
I came for the ending of the Treehouse of horror XXXIV. I was left seeing the 80's in its maximum splendor. Without a doubt the best decade
No one like David Lee Roth! Love it!!!
I remember when"Eat em' and smile" came out. Didn't expect too much from it but man was I blown away by it! So naturally I had to buy his other solo albums. Eat em' was the best one.
Simply monumental. A pity modern music and radio stations simply forgot many 80s songs
Agreed, the music nowadays sucks in every way shape and form.
2 years after HS, living in the moment and not a care in the world........Those were the days !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'88 was a good year. This is a bit "campy" to listen to now....but it fit the '80's so well. I miss that time. No internet, no cell phones. People actually hung out and talked to each other, face to face. And we got our music from the radio and MTV. Simpler....better times, for sure. I was lucky to have grown up in the '70's and '80's.
firstmusic00 I agree... Miss them days
fuck yeah bro. 70s and 80s were a good time 👍
I miss the time i never got to live in, Music WAS better than todays garbage, I do prefer to speak and hang out with people face to face cuz its funner and more real.
I loved it surf, music, girls Good times.

M2 Loochinairo will he?
Kandi Crawford Agreed..FUN AND ROCK AND ROLL..
Absolutely!
Kandi Crawford+ Yes it was and I miss those days!!! ;)
Have to admit...he was what most people came to see in a van Halen concert, still have not seen any rock stars that could do a high kick like him!!! Oh and Van Halen( the band) they were good
His gymnastics were something else
What a great song! David Lee Roth, one of the finest Front Men of the 1970's-1980's. Fun to watch and listen to with endless energy.
"Diamond Dave Rocks!"
That guitar solo always brings a smile to my face!
Hearing this song on the radio was like learning magic is real. I wore out my Skyscraper tape I loved the album so much. This iteration of the band was phenomenal.
I gotta be home before the end of the record......
This is one of my favorite songs. I cracked up when I heard Just Like Paradise on this year's "Treehouse Of Horror" (Halloween) episode of The Simpsons.
great music, playing baseball, hanging out at the pool on summer days, good movies at theaters, riding my bike all over the city, football winters, everybody getting along and very little violence, chasing girls at schools and having a crush or two, staying up late on summer nights, specially to watch Cinemax on Fridays.....indeed the 80s were paradise
you've summed up 95% of 80s kids' youth. You've described it so well I can still feel it!
@@msiroi01 don't you wish that maybe some aliens would come down and leave behind a time machine in your back yard?
Thank you Absolute Classic Rock for keeping the great classics alive!
Roth......what an entertainer! Vai..........what a guitarist!
Epic Rock Climbing + Epic Scissor Kick + Epic Heart Guitar = Epic Music Video
David has a style of his own, can write great music & knows how to rock n roll. Love this song and video. Rocked to this song when it came out and still rockin' to it in 2020.
Kathrin, you are not lying girl. The song have that power today as it did then.
I get the nostalgia feels. Deep, even in my hands. Love it.
Great front man I miss the 70s and 80s
