This is for David Lee Roth, just want to Thank you, for your music , when I was 15 , i hit the streets and my mother the only thing that I ever got from her that she didn't take away was a David Lee Roth cassette tape and I listened to it for years on my walkman and believe me I was a walkman ! Lol but you gave me hope when I wanted to give up on life, God works in strange ways brother. So many songs so many lonely , cold nights and your music kept me warm and gave me Hope, thank you sir. All true! I'm 33 and remember distinctly my first glimpse of DLR - and I was very aware what a singular guy he was. He's my #1 favorite front man and singer(believe it or not). A whole slew of posers ripe his style and vibe, but they all cheapend it.
+S A Storyteller I loved DRL music so much! Then I have discovered another band, and I think this band is better than DRL solo career, and MUCH better than Van Halen. It's an underrated band, but it's an extreme quality: RATT. However, Dave is unique and I'll always love him :-).
I love DLR. This song is just the right song. In January of last year I have beaten brain cancer. I am still fighting the fight, but now that I am in remission. Everyday with the kids and my family is just like paradise.
Hey don't worry too much, it's like that everywhere, it's just a state of mind we're going through, hopefully I'll be dead tomorrow and then my state of mind won't mean shit....lol.
My dad had this on a caset tape when I was a really little kid. I'm 23 now and he died almost 2 years ago, I sing this in my head almost every day and think of him. He's building our paradise.
I’m a Roth fan. Dave’s music with Van Halen and on his solo albums has stood the test of time. This video shouldn’t work in 2024 but it DOES. Talent is timeless.
And you ain't the only one who remembers when this song was new.the nostalgia hits harder than Ike Turner with this song. I'm glad this song can still be found though, cause I needed the hit of nostalgia.
This Is so 80s! I love It! Cant imagine being a teenager in those years. Im 21 but damn, i rather hear DLR than Taylor Swift on the radio! Dont mind me. Taylor Swift Is cool tho!
I'll be 60 next month. May 2024. The 80's were definitely the best time of my life. Best movies, best music, best parties. If I had a time machine, I'd stay there forever.
Sorry to hear that. Im 46 and I never had more fun in my life now that I call all the shots. I guarantee Dave would say the same. We live on our terms which is like being in paradise.
Saw him in concert in the UK in early 90's. I was 8 rows from the front. Fxcking brilliant. 50 foot x 200 foot wall of speakers. Deaf for a week. Loved it. (Say what?).
This song puts me back to my youth and what a great time I had in the 80's and early 90's. Saw David Lee Roth when he joined back up with Van Halen in the early 2000's. Most memorable concert I have ever been to this day. Thank you David for making my youth so memorable!
THIS SONG ROCKS EVEN IN 2022!! Oh Man, I've been bienging on Van Halen, David Lee Roth, Sam Haggard, for the last week, I missed so much of their work in the late 80's and 90's, only now sadly making up for it... He played keyboard for Fleetwood Mac, toured with Steve Lukather from Toto and also played with Steppenwolf, Rick Springfield, Chris Isaak and Whitesnake. He was a great musician, a family man and a good friend of my parents, even played with some local bands with my father, Rene Ulibarri in their high school years. After being diagnosed with lung cancer at the start of the pandemic, he would continue playing with Lindsey Buckingham and would make the most of his time to be with his family. He was my neighbor and already a teenager but he would let me hang and was also teaching me how to skateboard. Even though he was so much older he would treat me like I wasn't a little kid. With respect. It meant alot to me. And teaching me how to skateboard helped me in my life cuz it was my passion for many years and even different periods in my life. Every time I hear this song I think of my friend and that ride with the windows down jamming to this thinking I was so grown. I was definitely in paradise lol. Those moments impact u in many ways. Freddy wherever u are in the world I hope u doing awesome my brotha. Thanks for the friendship and great memories. This one's for u!
good for u. that's awesome. my cousin had lymphoma, and caught it early enough. he finished treatment, and its in remission. congrats to u. its sad how many people die every year to cancer. its slow going in the fight, but I feel it can be overcome. aids used to be a death sentence, and now if a person takes care of business, getting meds going to the doctor they can live a long life with aids. I hope the same can be said about cancer.

Thank you for posting this video. Diamond Dave is a perpetual star! How could television networks give talk shows to simpletons and not offer one to THIS positive, charasmatic rock star?
great music, playing baseball, hanging out at the pool on summer days, good movies at theaters, riding my bike all over the city, football winters, everybody getting along and very little violence, chasing girls at schools and having a crush or two, staying up late on summer nights, specially to watch Cinemax on Fridays.....indeed the 80s were paradise
couldn't have said it better myself SA, the man was unreal, I saw him a dozen times in concert and he knew how to work a crowd, and he wasn't a bad twirler with a mic either :)
@@W81Researcher on a popularity scale EVH is far more known but in the guitarist world… majority of them are gonna go with Vai being the better of the 2.
I met big Dave back in 83 after a Van Halen concert and he was one cool dude and took time out to speak to me..And give me his autograph which he did in capital letters DAVE LEE ROTH VH
This song is profound. It's musically deep and philosophically momentous. 'Home' is the the place that everyone wants to go back too. It's where the wonderful memories dwell. It's where laugher and hope is remembered. People write lovely songs about wanting to go home... but not here. This song speaks of a paradise so wonderful that even 'home' is lackluster in comparison, and it apparently exists right in front of our eyes. Just amazing.
David Lee Roth's, the sound, the Spirit, Timeless, this video needs to be digitally enhanced. It's the bible of humanity in 2022. Thank you 1984rockcity for providing this historic, amazing contribution flick. Why do I sound like Mike Meyers now????!!
This is one of my favorite songs. I cracked up when I heard Just Like Paradise on this year's "Treehouse Of Horror" (Halloween) episode of The Simpsons.
Nothing can put you in a good mood quicker than this song. One of my go to's if I'm feeling a little down.

Growing up in the 80s and can recall when my brother brought home this cassette. This was an epic rock album without a doubt and whenever this song comes on, I crank up the volume and take a trip down memory lane to 1988!
Dave does what Dave wants and he puts everything into what he does.
That incredible STEVE VAI .. love his style and passion for life and music

Canyons, guitar riffs, lyrics, voice,. David Lee Roth in my head forever
I love how fantastically 80's and upbeat both this video and the song itself are... it truly was the best decade, and a wonderful time to be alive!
One of Dave's best, truly a 80's 💎
No one like David Lee Roth! Love it!!!
Roth......what an entertainer! Vai..........what a guitarist!
Epic Rock Climbing + Epic Scissor Kick + Epic Heart Guitar = Epic Music Video
DLR is legend! EVH is legend! VH is legend! and all the musicians who were ever part of VH are legend! 1980s were legend!

This, then the soundtrack to heavy metal, Eddie & the cruisers and to round it out Bat out of hell. Now that sounds like a quiet evening in with the wife & kids.
Thank you for posting this video. Diamond Dave is a perpetual star! How could television networks give talk shows to simpletons and not offer one to THIS positive, charasmatic rock star?
David is just a legend. Artist out in the fingertips♥️
great music, playing baseball, hanging out at the pool on summer days, good movies at theaters, riding my bike all over the city, football winters, everybody getting along and very little violence, chasing girls at schools and having a crush or two, staying up late on summer nights, specially to watch Cinemax on Fridays.....indeed the 80s were paradise
you've summed up 95% of 80s kids' youth. You've described it so well I can still feel it!
@@msiroi01 don't you wish that maybe some aliens would come down and leave behind a time machine in your back yard?
David at his best no question! This band is outstanding!!
Seen this tour man in the late 80s n DAVID LEE WAS UNREAL!!!!!
I get the nostalgia feels. Deep, even in my hands. Love it.
couldn't have said it better myself SA, the man was unreal, I saw him a dozen times in concert and he knew how to work a crowd, and he wasn't a bad twirler with a mic either :)
Now this what I call a "rocker" great work guys, fantastic!
Classic, Diamond Dave!!! Gotta love it!!! 🥰
Steve Vai is a living legend
I hope you are not going to think hes in EVH's league.
Steve Vai is in the league with Eddie Van Halen. They just have different styles.
@@W81Researcher He's way more skilled
@@W81Researcher on a popularity scale EVH is far more known but in the guitarist world… majority of them are gonna go with Vai being the better of the 2.
@@cdsmetalhead99 EVH pioneered the techniques that Steve would use to develop his style.
This song is on my mind all the time. Really makes me feel free and imagine I'm on some amazing holiday.
David Lee Roth thank you for your work ! ! ! !
It was awesome being there when we were young Dave!
Who in 2020 still LOVES David Lee Roth?

I met big Dave back in 83 after a Van Halen concert and he was one cool dude and took time out to speak to me..And give me his autograph which he did in capital letters DAVE LEE ROTH VH
probably my fav put you in a flying mood song. thanks for uploading
That guitar solo always brings a smile to my face!
One of the first rock songs I got introduced to. The 80s were the best.🎸🎸.
Duuude. I know its been a year but that was exactly my interpretation of this song wtf
David Lee Roth's, the sound, the Spirit, Timeless, this video needs to be digitally enhanced. It's the bible of humanity in 2022. Thank you
1984rockcity for providing this historic, amazing contribution flick. Why do I sound like Mike Meyers now????!!
This is one of my favorite songs. I cracked up when I heard Just Like Paradise on this year's "Treehouse Of Horror" (Halloween) episode of The Simpsons.
