Well yes, I am returning to review. I started some cards and then dropped the ball and got started on some other stuff. So I am back. I don't have adobe products. I am using free alternative software even though I learned the adobe creative suite. It is different to use the alternative free software. But still good. Thank you for what you share.
How do you come up with the words and phrases used on an oracle deck? Is there a set list and meanings like Tarot or do you come up with your own through meditation/intuitions?
Thank you so much for the video! My cards are hand drawn and I plan on cleaning them up some but do want them to have that hand drawn feel in the final project. Would they still be able to work in this process on Indesign?
Hi there: Wow - that's very impressive - you sound super talented. Yes, they can still work in Indesign - you'd just have to digitize your artwork and then add them to an Indesign file. XO Lisa
Bring the handdrawn artwork in illustrator to ditigize them and choose the effect to have the hand drawn effect on them. Once created in illustrator import the artwork in adobe indesign. I hope this helps. I am a multimedia designer.
This is a great video thank you. I have a Oracle deck that is very old and they don't sell it anymore. It's tattered and falling apart would it be possible to take the Oracle deck and put it through the system to create a renewed Oracle deck? Thank you
Hi Phyllicia: Great question - Not a clue. I haven't used Canva in years so I have no idea. But my friend Kirsten loves it and does everything on it including making presentations so I'm sure you could use it for this but I don't know how. XO Lisa
You could do it by doing custom sizing your cards by going to the top right corner and select "create a design" then just add in your shapes/uploads. To make it uniformed, you can copy your first design (just above your image there is a icon next to the bin with a +) and then you have a your template that you can change your image and text. If you look on the left hand side, look for the styles and you can select your fonts that already compliment each other.
You should upgrade your mic as the sound quality picks up your voice in a distorted way that makes it unpleasant to hear you speak. I just hear raspy and high pitched tones constantly fluctuating.

If you do figure out how to design your own art in id, I would love to watch! My biggest hurdle right now is paying for artwork.
Same
You can either draw up the designs, or use free images 👍

I had no idea how much I needed this video!! I've been wanting to publish a deck I created years ago and now I feel much more confident! Thank you 🥰
Thank you so much!

Hi there…do you know if a guidebook for the oracle cards can also be created in indesign?
How do I add the back image of the card without facing pages?
Hi Lisa! Thank you for all you share! Love it!
Thanks! Can you address copyright and trademarking? And any legal issues using images on ID and other platforms?
Have you got any recommendations on where to buy images from? :)
Hi Talia: My favorite is Styled Stock Society - they have the best ones for online businesses! styledstocksociety.com/?aff=3962 XO Lisa
@@PrettyFabulousDesignsthe site states you cannot use their images for resell/on anything you intend to sell. Am I missing something?
I will try this. I wonder if i could set a master page with the title and message .🤔
You totally could! XO Lisa
So where do you get your images from?
Hi Tyaja: I had those images custom made from a designer I had to wait over a year and half to even get on her wait list.
@@PrettyFabulousDesigns Wow
Yes..much needed ❤
If we sell it, can we use pics that can be found on google? No right? Thank u
No, you need to use pics that allow you to use them for "commercial" purposes, usually you need a license to reuse the images.
The workaround would be to manipulate the photo so it no longer looks like the original....Photoshop is great for this.
Can I make this on Canva?
