- Camelback Mountain is an extremely popular hike located right in the Scottsdale/Paradise Valley/Phoenix AZ area. This video shows the full footage from trailhead to summit going up the Cholla Trail, which is the longer but more gradual route (compared to Echo Canyon).

Yess this is awesome!! Best video I’ve seen yet on hiking! The actual trail wow that is awesome! Thank you so much for this. All the comments I saw on line about Cholla trail, but your video gives me the confidence to know that I can do it. Thank you again!! I just subscribed 🎉
thank you so much for the kind words! I started my channel because I wanted to show people what the hikes actually looked like (rather than showing me eating, camping, etc). Camelback is short but steep, but if you take your time you'll be fine!
Thank you, your videos are really helpful to decide whether a hike fits me or not! Sorry for the stupid comments you get.
thanks! I was in a mood that day -- i had recently joined a fb hiking group and i made a comment that I was going to make some videos of the smaller easier hikes in the area and people went off on me that camelback wasn't easy and I was putting people in danger and all this other stuff
Love it bro headed out there in a few wks👍
Nice! I got a ton of hikes in the area so depending how much time you have I'm sure you can find some others! Let me know if you have any questions
You have awesome videos, thank you. Very helpful.
thanks i appreciate it! Trying to get up as much content as I can. I never liked when I watched hiking channels and they would focus more on their food, selfies, and random stuff when all I wanted to see was what the hike looked like. So all my videos are with the intent of showing people what the hikes really look like and what to expect
Great video footage of both Echo and Cholla. I used to live out there in the late 90's and have good friends there. When I miss AZ I look up hiking and driving videos to use while on the stationary bike and elliptical. Our last vacation there we went up Echo, down Cholla, and cooled down walking Invergordon to MacDonald, back to the car...I guess that's easier than doing both, separately. Thanks
thanks! I have a lot of hikes so hopefully some other videos can help you out!
I'm with you; I avoid Camelback like the plague on weekends because it just gets so busy there! Great footage!
I just hiked Cholla last week while I was on vacation in Phoenix, I was looking for a video of the whole hike to show someone what it was like.
I did Echo Canyon last year, thought that was quite a bit harder than Cholla.
Thanks for posting. I'll check out your other videos, I've done most of the better known hikes around Phoenix
thanks! I have a full video of Echo as well, as well as about 200 hikes around the western US mainly!
New subscriber here! Loving these shorter hike videos. I have four littles and they like to hike with me. These help me gauge if the terrain is appropriate for them and if I’ll be able to carry the youngest in my carrier. There’s definitely an audience! Thank you!! (I found you through a fb group)
thank you i appreciate the comment -- I have a lot of stuff out there and think it can really help others gauge the difficulty and terrain of hikes. If there is anything you want to see please leave a comment and I can try to record it!
Thank you for doing this video, very helpful info to determine if my boys can do this!
of course -- that was the intent. Let me know if you do it and how they like it -- I regularly see children ages 7-12 on this mountain
Thank you, yes very good data here, footage is on point too
Echo trail is harder. The crowd didn't bother him, looked like he steamrolled over anyone in his way 😂. What was the hurry?
stay out of my way ;)
Also, it works if you don’t respond to the people with their panties in a twist! Yes toms thumb please
