  • Welcome to Metal Detecting Panonnia
After many days of heavy rain, the clouds were finaly gone for a few days, and I decided to go out on the field for couple of hours, to test my luck in the field, to see if I can manage to find something nice. Short hunt, some 2,5 hours were good time, with several nice roman coins and some other relics, so sit back, relax and enjoy this video!
Also if you are new to the channel, Like the videos and subscribe for future videos if you like what you see in the video!

I can nearly smell the earth... 02:26: Yes, definitively Constantine I with the VOT XX reverse; this type was struck AD 321-24; the mintmark is too encrusted to read, but could be Siscia by the style of the portrait. 7:58: mintmark off flan, but definitively not Antioch, perhaps Constantinople or Nicomedia; 09:23, yes Claudius II antoninianus, Rome mint, 2nd. officina, 2nd issue, AD 269; rev. FIDES EXERCITVS (Fides with 2 standards); 12:40: yes, Constantinus II, this type (VICTORIAE DD AVGG QQ NN) was struck (according to RIC VIII) in 347-48 but more likely AD 342-348. Siscia mint by portrait style; 18:30: Valentinian I, AD 364-375, rev. GLORIA ROMANORVM, emperor with standard (labarum) and dragging captive by the hair, mint unclear, but probably an early coin from Siscia.

Better a good video from time to time than many videos with only trash to be watched. A plowed field is very difficult to walk in and detecting at the same time. Thank you to show us this dream field despite the harsh conditions. Tschuss

Thank You for your kind comment, this hobby is always a mistery, you never know what you could find, sometimes is nice and sometimes is bad so better us to show something nice for sure.. I will try to go out few more times in the field the ground will soon freeze so it will be easier to detect, so stay tuned for any future video! Cheers

I like the intro, really dramatic. Keep the videos coming I find them very interesting and informative.
You should have more followers than you have at the moment. Best wishes from Northumbria.

You are absolutely correct not uploading video’s with a lot of crappie finds. There are to many channels already that think they are doing their viewers a favor by uploading quantity in stead of quality like you do. They are wrong, you are right! Thanks for going through all the trouble making these great video’s for us, stay safe and till the next one!

I can understand all of those guys, they have love for the hobby as we all have and they want to share it with the world, the beauty in detecting is to never know what you will find, and that feeling you can't transfer on video, but at least I can show some interesting stuff and try not to repeat myself as much with the finds. Thank you for nice comment of support, all the best from Croatia

da, rekao sam da cu jednom ali evo nikako haha.. youtube stavlja automatski prijevod engleskog za engleski kao titlove, sa hrvatskog bi ja morao ručno praviti titlove za engleski, a tu se kužim ko Mara u krivi... Lijep pozdrav i sve najbolje :)

To imagine~ these coins were used to pay off Germanic/Gothic tribes from invading western empire. The great migration~

That has come to my mind more then once, Panonnia was one giant crossroad in ancient times: east and west, Roman and barbaric all of this in one small area and all of those left something behind.. i have found roman coins with mintmarks all the way from middle east and as well from roman citys in france.. metal detecting is hobby like no other trust me :) cheers and all the best
