Hi friend. I think 10:00 coin is a GRATIAN A3E. Obverse: D N GRATIANVS P F AVG, diademed draped & cuirassed bust right. Reverse - GLORIA RO-MANORVM, Emperor walking right with head turned back while grasping bound captive at the top of the head with right hand & holding a banner with Chi-Rho on it (labarum). Thanks for sharing!!! Here is a new subscriber from Spain. Best Regards !!!
Hi friend! 8:26 is a centenionnalis of Valens, AD 364-378, type SECVRITAS REI PVBLICAE, mint of Thessalonica (TES in exergue). 10:20 is another centenionnalis from same period and mint, but not Valentinian I, rather his son GRATIAN, but struck as junior emperor under his father, the rest of the identification (reverse) is OK. Good job!
Hello friend, for coin on 8:26 I was having feeling is Valens, but without legends I was not sure, because many of these busts of emperors looks very very similar, and about 10:20, well I was close, I was checking the coins on Tesorillo and by comparing busts I was leaning to Valentinianus, but if You say it's his son Gratianus then I was not very far away with ID. Thank You very much for detailed Info once again, One day You will write comment I have all coins correct haha. All best amigo!
@@MD_Panonnia Yes friend, Valens and Valentinian coins are identical, except for the name. But even if the name is not complete, you can tell them appart, sometimes by the position of the letters, sometimes even by its size, because VALENS is a much shorter name than VALENTINIANVS. Sretno u potrazi!
At 11:07 that relic is a wax seal. It would have had a piece of carved glass in the recess and would have been anything from a monogram to a Pictogram to an animal. The ancient peoples would use wax to seal documents and they would press the wax seal into the wax to identify who sent it or sealed it.
Pozdrav, hvala na lijepom komentaru, doduše nisam sam, često kolega ide sa mnom, ali u većini su nam nalazi slični pa ne snimam i njegovo i svoje, nema smisla duplati video. Lijep pozdrav i ugodan dan!
