I could never forget NFS 2. Driving the T-Rex is great!
Porsche Unleashed is my favorite tho.
NFS 4 High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed are Top on my list! Great carreer, great graphics for its time, great soundtrack, entertaining gameplay (NFS IV is more arcade and NFS Porsche is more realistic), many great race tracks, great vibes, great games! No stupid story with annoying "cool" hipsters, no boring, empty openworld, no annoying on-line stuffs, .. only pure high quality arcade fun! I miss old good NFS games (1996 - 2002), I wish they will make faithfull remake of one of these awesome games!
NFS III is literally the best classic Need For Speed generation
Its also my favorite of the series.
@@sebastianaliandkulchefor me it’s Need for Speed High Stakes but need for Speed 3 is very close
@@kennyhankins8850 Totally understandable.
@@kennyhankins8850for me it's NFS2 SE on 3dfx
@@kennyhankins8850 They have lot of similarities indeed.
I expected porsche unleashed to be in here 😅😅
I totally agree. His list is pretty accurate, I just think Porsche Unleash is better than 3
7:20 NFS2 SE on the 3dfx Is really good. It's the best one imo.
The PC version gives you 3 game modes. Arcade, Wild or Simulation.
Wild is the default on the SE version of the game and it was a new mode. I however play in Simulation with steering wheel and pedals.
Non of the cars do 400 mph . You must be looking at kph . The Mclaren F1 does 230 mph
In Simulation mode on the PC it has really nice physics.
You include V-Rally games which are not actual NFS games and pass NFS Porshce Unleashed? :) Porshce Unleashed should also be in the classic NFS games list.
My favorite is the NFS4 High Stakes. It is simply an upgraded and extended version of NFS3 Hot Pursuit. Cars have higher polygon counts and they look much more detailed with 3D interiors. The game features new awesome tracks and also includes all the tracks from NFS3. It is just the perfect NFS for me.
I prefer the PC version since I played it on my PC with a 3dfx Voodoo card. The visuals and the framerate were simply amazing with the 3dfx Glide mode.
My list would be like this:
5. NFS2
4. NFS1
3. NFS Porshce Unleashed
2.NFS3
1.NFS4
Porsche Unleashed came out in 2000
regarding NFS II's controls, I personally find them a lot more controllable in simulation mode rather than arcade mode. The main difference between them that I felt is that in simulation mode, the car doesn't automatically slide when you break and turn. You can actually properly break and turn without spinning out like crazy, which made it much more playable.
Still, the pc version handles better. It's still whacky and chaotic as ever, though.
I play NFS2 SE in Simulation religiously 😅.
I use the modern patch running with the 3dfx texture version (you can choose which textures to use) .
I have it running on Vulcan APi backend at 2560x1600 on a 30 inch monitor with logitech Ps2 pro Granturismo 4 wheel and pedals.
I will be uploading some videos soon.
Need for Speed 4 High Stakes is the best one of these for me
My fav is Porsche Unleashed ❤️
That game didn’t come out until the 2000’s
I always liked Need for speed 2 SE on PC. The insanity of it was a big part of what made it so fun. I still play it about every other year. But my favorite is Need for speed 3. I remember trying a demo of it on the PC in 1998. And spending most of my savings buying the Playstation version in 1999 and playing it a lot. I still play the PC version. Mostly time trial trying to improve the lap times. Rocky pass and Atlantica are my favorite tracks.
My first experience with NFS was with NFS 2 in PC. It is the closest port, but better resolutivo and framerate. The controls seems tight in PC too. 2 SE have some slightly different in handling. And besides the speed is related to reality. For example, Mclaren F1 understeer and the GT90 have lift off oversteer. You can use this as your favor and when you got is really fun to controll.
Subbed. You're doing God's work.
6:59 - i never played the PSX version, but it does have a knockout mode in the computer version.
That was one of my fav infancy games, i had both NFS 1 and 2 (not SE, i don't know where this CD went, but i wanted to find, because seems like there is nobody with it online; the booklet had cool unique pictures of the cars in the dark). But i used to play the 2 way more.
I know that the aging of the game makes a lot, but, at that time, there were barely any good racing game at par with NFS 2.
There is a problem with handling in terms of braking and making turns, but i think in overall is pretty cool, once you grasp the skills needed, it becomes in fact pretty "radical", hehe...
I also think handbrake is a powerful tool in this game.
Summarizing, it is pretty fun when you master it and the flaws are understandable if you knew how the racing gaming industry was at the time.
8:52 - This game was made with collaboration with a car magazine to provide car information. Road & Track is the name of the magazine.
NFS 3 is amazing indeed, i don't had it, but a friend of my uncle got the CD and installed on our computer, that was memorable, because it was something new, so people surrounded the computer enthusiastically to watch people play.
Very interesting video, i think i agree with the rank, but i would put NFS 2 over NFS 1, at least when i was kid i played it way more.
I love the classic 90s NFS games out of all the classic games I think High Stakes on the PS1 is my favorite even though I like the car list of NFS 3 on PC better
Your list is perfect. And yes, the PC versions are better, but NFS3 was such a good attempt on the PS1, I decided to purchase both PC and PS1 versions.
NfS HiGH STAKES is My Fav NfS in PS1 Era
I love the video
V Rally is great imo , could be nostalgia but I still love it . Not a Need for Speed game though. The second V Rally is great as well.
I think I played NFS4 and NFS Porsche (The PC version which was different from the PS1 version from what I remember)
I would say ps1 High stakes is better than its pc version
Career mode is tedious as hell in the pc version, difficulty isn't as good as the ps1
Driving physics are way better in the ps1. Pc hs driving is hp pc driving, but flatter and with more speed, so cars don't really feel that different and some of the tighter tracks (like the ones ported from hp) aren't really suited for this additional speed.
That's not to say pc version doesnt have anything going for it. Cars have more polygons and have very good (for the time) detailed interiors, you can choose between top up and top down in convertible cars, transmissions are based on the real car (if you select automatic in a Camaro you'll have the 4-speed and if you choose manual you'll have the 6-speed)
And not to mention the endless modding community of the pc.
But I think ps1 is above the pc because It does the more important things better.
Btw, loved the video
No
Need for speed underground 2
Nfs3&nfs4high stakes the greatest
Can you do power rangers
nfs 3 and road chalenge hi steak for me allredy from soundtrack they are superior nfs whent downhill after porsche will underground getting inluence of fast of furious.
NFS II is not a good game for me
Why? Let me guess, you are a zoomer who loves the fast and furious movies, and your favorites are underground 1 and 2. 😂
NFS II is the best by far. Rest have extremely slow cars. And, tbh, 400 mph? Have you actually played the game?! Or do you not know the difference between kph and mph? 😅
NFS 2 sucks, you just have too much nostalgia for the game. The physics in that game sucks, the game is only good for 10 minutes of play time.
Porsche Unleashed is by far the best out of the classical era. The middle era started with the Underground games. Your welcome.
I'm glad this list is untainted by Porsche Unleashed, the most overrated NFS game ever made.
