Great job done on a very useful & probably much used accessory to your all terrain utility vehicle. That’s built impressively sturdy & looks like it could handle jobs that might appear to be too much for it. As long as it’s equipped with the right wheels to be able to handle heavier loads, I can’t see it not being able to do any job you need it to do. Obviously your kids love it & being involved in the use of it for your outdoor projects. I love the fact that it can dump loads of dirt, sand, large rock, gravel, broken concrete/ asphalt, trash, tree/ bushes/ brush trimmings, firewood, etc. I think you’ve probably given some/ many DIYers ideas that will help them get their own projects done with more efficiency. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent craftsmanship from the frame to the finishing touches a big ..👍 added to the thousands already received. Looks like the kids also enjoyed it. Stay well, Joe Z
Move the axles back, closer to the rear of the bed, and it will allow the bed to raise higher and probably dump everything out. Pretty rugged build for a yard cart. The video is spot on just like it is, very easy to follow, allows for a smooth work flow without having to stop and explain.
I have watched many of your videos and have enjoy all of them. Your wife's narrative is a nice touch. It lets us know what your thoughts were during the construction. Thank You!
Greetings from Australia folks, I’ve been subscribed to and following your channel for quite a while now. Great content and some simple yet brilliant ideas and solutions .. Thank you. I believe the guiding narrative featuring your wife’s lovely clear voice (and beautiful accent) is a great idea.
Thank you for the courtesy of asking what the viewers prefer. Your voice-over narrations are fine :) and please continue to not use any stupid music. Its nice that you're letting us hear the actual sounds of the machinery, tools, processes, etc.
I’ve just recently found your channel and enjoyed the videos I’ve seen so far. Having the voice over is both entertaining and informative, keep up the great work both of you. I’m definitely in favor of continuing the explanations in English to understand your thought processes. I look forward to seeing more of your projects!
I love your wife's voice over and I praise her efforts in learning to speak English. Your video was most entertaining and my only suggestion for your trailer would be to add a gas strut to help tip it when it is full. Please retain the voice over as it is so much nicer than just subtitles with random music. The format and content are just perfect.
I applaud the effort and the execution. The wheel bearing hubs are not necessary idler wheels connected to an axle doesn't matter if axle is rigid or not load is all on bearings inside wheel center. They only make your cart weigh more you could have simply drilled some holes in wheel fab"d some spacers and bolted them to hubs just like their engineered and designed to perform this would put load capacity so far from where the trailer would fail. Fill the box with some cut logs flush with the sides and hit bumb if the axle hasn't already started to bend it going to and rivets do not have necessary clamping force to safely haul much weight. Hint consider carriage fasteners their designed to bolt down thru wood as you have chosen. I have been there done that just sharing so you can modify or improve because I like the level of skill you have I giving you a like and subscribe. Also the audio and video aspect is pro-level. Whomever and however this arrives on YT keep it up!
I really don't require any voice over but you are helping your wife and I am glad to help her in her task. I think your design could use another helper compression cylinder to help you 'release' the load. But overall, your project is a fun watch for me.
That's a nice design, well done. Only suggestion I have is that lever for tipping the bed has a couple joints in it that may give trouble if there's ever a lot of force put on that lever. If so I'd consider welding on a couple triangular flats to re-enforce those angles a bit. :)
The trailer design looks quite sound, and it appears your construction is excellent. In my opinion, you should continue to incorporate your wife’s narration. And please tell her she is doing an excellent job and her English skills are very good!
Neat. An upgrade I would suggest is to make the box out of sheet metal and weld it. You could perhaps coat it with some sealant and use a rubber ring around the gate to allow you to transport liquids as well as solids. Another thought is to add a hydraulic arm to the lifting mechanism so that you can more easily lift heavier loads.
I think your videos are good without narration. I see others like the narration but in my opinion you do a great job of explaining what you're doing without words so narration is not necessary.
Hi, your wife has good English! I don’t mind voice over or not so helping your wife seems favourable to enhance her English. Your creativity and fabrication skills are A1 not to mention video editing skills as well! I enjoy watching and look forward to future projects. Thanks for sharing. 👍
I saved myself $4,750 and bought a cart from Tractor Supply for $140. Pull it behind a deckless riding mower and carry firewood and dirt. - North Central Florida - 6.10.2024
@@JoeTurmoil Maybe Mother Russia does not have a Tractor Supply. Nope, you're not the only. It was manufactured content for clicks. Interesting, but yes, over engineered.
glad i subscribed to your channel, always left wondering where i could come up with the hubs? awesome work, you have a very fabricating type of mind, think outside the box, not afraid to show mistakes!
I personally enjoy the videos without voice over. The sounds are part of what makes the videos so enjoyable to watch. Voice not needed in your content.
It is cute. I prefer with narration. I would also like to have an idea what you are making before wasting time watching something I might have no interest in.
If you had moved the box of the trailer a little farther forward you would have more weight on the pulling vehicle for traction and the deck at the rear when dumping would have been higher, meaning more load would slide out before pulling forward. The trick is to balance the weight so you don't overload the pulling vehicle.
I've been thinking about it. But in this case, my manual unloading system based on a lever will most likely no longer work, since it is necessary to make a much greater effort to unload
You have a lot of safety concerns to address, especially with the kids. It's great to have them involved, but when the little one jumped up there on the driver seat while the vehicle was running, could get you into a huge amount of trouble. Please be careful.
Yeah true but then you would not feel like a real man and build something with your hands like men do. !!!!!! He put a lot of time and effort into building this and was proud of working with his hands and not just another lazy rich entitled smart ass !!!!!
You're obviously a skilled man & I only wish I knew how to do some of that metalwork & welding...... you really made quite a nice piece. I'd have preferred to hear your voice thru this process(s) along w/ what you were thinking as you dealt w/ the many things that pop up. The oriental woman(AI) was the weakest part of this video.... I think most folks would like to hear what you thought as you did each step ; your thoughts, concerns, and why you did the things you did.... Yep, I'd liked to have heard you speak. It's warmer & more personable that way & people can relate much better knowing someone's home on the other side. peace
would have used 4-wheeler tires and bearings instead of the other tires and would have made longer handle for dump and made box out of metal or aluminum....
only thing i saw was if you used wood for the flooring then the yellow bar that tilts it up needs a metal plate just by leaving it outside for a year would make the flooring soft enough to start giving you problems with the yellow bar going through the floor of the trailer other than that i see nothing wrong but i've always been that person that my equipment has to last me 10 years so say i bought a trailer it have to last a good ten years and make me money before i say it a good product i took a old mobile home frame and made a equipment hauler for my dad but ive also took a 22 foot box truck and made it a mobile home truck by time i was done the truck was 19 feet long total instead of about 26 feet long with the box truck on it so i sold the box off the back to design the bed of the truck i short the farm of the truck and had that truck for over 10 years hauling mobile homes i did this when i was alot younger so i did have a welder friend of the family and own his own welding business i was learning from him how to weld so back in the 80's i made a nice grated floor bed for the truck and designed the side to come of for easy loading and unloading of martials we finally retired the business in 2010 we started when i was 5 years old of the business first truck we had was a old chevy truck it lasted about 2 years then we bought a old international loadstar lasted 5 years then we built this one over the last two years of the international life so we got a good 15 years out of that truck the last 5 years she showed he age abit
First, your wife's English is excellent. Not an easy language to learn and she did wonderfully well. Second, once I got used to it, it was okay but I usually prefer unnarrated videos with captions.
While I always respect re-using left over materials crafting the pivots seems like a lot of wasted time and effort. Using two pillow block bearings and a pass-through axle would have been much easier and can be done with no welding, (if you were to consider many people might like to do this and don't own a welder). In fact if you included risers the pivot could be done at the wheels axle. Even so, I did upvote this video.
Really? Do you also hate having to watch a movie all the way through to know how it ends? TH-cam is for entertainment purposes. Showing you the ending at the beginning defeats the purpose. Also, you have the ability to skip forward it's really easy. There are videos on TH-cam that explain how to do it. Hi friends, how many points do you rate my work and product?
Also, the question is do you like the video format with voice acting?
frankly?
no :(
but i'm not a fan of voiceover anyway, so don't take the no too hard ;)
Not a fan of the voice over. It has an accent or something that made it a bit difficult to understand.
I enjoyed your wife’s voice over. And I rate your work 9 out of 10 👍
You video presentation was just fine, FWITW, I think a voice over is better than music, that's my preference, you do what you like and suits you.
