Bcz when lying on left side the lung with pathology is lying in the superior position, so the secretions will come towards the bronchioles and larger bronchi thus stimulating cough reflex
As the lung is collapsed, no air is entering into the alveoli, so no vesicular sounds will be present. Now if along with collapse, the bronchi is patent bronchial breath sounds will be present whereas if it is also collapsed then they will also be absent
The first thing that came to my mind is what a beautiful handwriting.

If the pathology is on right side,Shouldn't the patient feel better while lying on left side(good side down) as if increase perfusion to better lung?
Lying on healthy side restricts movements.
