    There's only one quote from RT that I'll always remember:
    "I hate quotes" -Gus Sorola.

    00:40 it's moments like these that makes me see these four as a family where Gavin and Barbara are siblings and Gus and Burnie are the parents, because it's basically like kids walking out of the room when their parents start arguing

    what gavin was saying was basically that a ions perspective on the world is so different to ours we wouldnt be able to comprehend each other

    To this day i have no idea where Gavin was going with the perfect size in relation to water thing

  • @MetaI4Brains
    @MetaI4Brains 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Normally I have some idea of what Gavin is talking about when he says crazy things, but what the fuck is he talking about when he says humans are the perfect size in relation to water?

    • @TehNotSoFunnyGuy
      @TehNotSoFunnyGuy 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In relation to the sea, or a puddle, or whatever, we are the perfect size in relation to water, it's not that hard to understand, imagine if we were the size of ants, water would be too big (Rain, puddles, etc) and for a whale, water is nothing (Rain, Puddles, etc) to us, water is, well... Water..
      I think that's what he's saying.

      Water would be too big/small for what?

    • @TehNotSoFunnyGuy
      @TehNotSoFunnyGuy 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      T. Wiggins Us, take a cup of water and pour it on an ant, is it okay? Probably not.
      Pour a cup of water on you, are you okay? Probably.
      We are the perfect size.

      Dick Butts
      So if we were smaller we'd all get washed away and drowned by the rain? That still happens. Does that mean we still have some growing to do as a species?

    • @TehNotSoFunnyGuy
      @TehNotSoFunnyGuy 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      UltimateTopVideos No, no scaling up, to what we have today, not some giant cup of water from God or whoever, just a regular pint of water.

    But yeah. I think burnie is correct in the way that senses are as in, senses are arbitrary. Humans make boxes for things. Senses originally have 5 boxes, but as humans wanted more and more boxes we created more specific classifications.

    8:30 Planaria are asexual meaning they reproduce on their own. We cut them apart in biology class in 10th grade and they only have a head, mouth, esophagus, and a tail. The way they reproduce is by putting their tail into their mouth and pulling itself apart. At least I think that's how. I also asked my science teacher if planaria have nerves because if they did it would be really painful to tear yourself apart, but if they don't then they're alright.

    Burnie is relying on the Aristotelian concept of senses. Considering how Aristotle got virtually everything wrong I wouldn't really use him in an argument.

    holy balls, Burnie! The senses are based upon the organs that provide them, and what you are talking about are sensations! Holy crap, it gets annoying.
