I purchased a new at$t remote, I lo longer have AT&T cable and now I can not program remote for any device ? Is the cable subscription necessary for the remote to function

Cable subscription isn't necessary. Just follow the steps in this video.

How would I program my AT&T u-Verse remote (S10-S4) to operate my Samsung BD-D5700?
I have been unable to find the programming codes for any Samsung Blu Ray players.
Would it be the same codes as the Samsung DVD players.
If not how do I get the correct codes?
I'm thinking that with the correct codes, I can assign my Samsung Blu Ray player to the DVD or Aux button. and program the remote.

I provided a link in the description with all the codes. Go to DVD/BLU RAY section and look for samsung codes.. there you will find many codes. Try each of them and see which works. Note that some samsung remotes can work on many devices so sometimes one code can be used to program many devices. Let me know how it goes 👍
