So In my case what happened because I don’t think it’s a pull because I recovered to quickly I went to jump to catch a rebound in basketball and when I landed why leg was gone I couldn’t put it down since their was a huge pain and my leg was numb it stiff after a good 10-15 min it’s wasn’t fully better but I was able to stand up and play at a moderate place is that still a pull or something else ?

Our muscle fibres don't get torn until a very hard pull and push is done like in workout, which is also good because torn muscles grow bigger and stronger which is why we get good shape and high growth of muscles after working out!
I did the splits unstretched to impress my family becus I can actually do the splits. I guess I wasn't stretched enough and when I went down, I heard a pop and I tore a muscle:)

@Hannah Christina i let my ego get the best of me when i rushed at doing the splits, and then something popped, and i really felt the strain in my inner hamstring. Ive been using similar techniques; you should also try mobility exercises to really get in there, and another option is wearing a band/compression shorts to help with the recovery. Hope all goes well with the musical!

I pulled or even tore my hamstring muscle at 3 in the morning trying to stretch . It was extremely painful. And the best part, is that I don't have a choice if I want to run on it or not. My PE finals are in a couple hours and I have a group relying on me.
