How entitled of a person can you be to get angry over a handicap person getting a handicap parking spot?
Honestly it's not even suprising anymore.
So many bitter overprivelaged people in the world
It happens all the time I’m in this lady position and I’m young and people would say ur young y do u meet his parking spots I’m like being young doesn’t unmake I handicap or disabled plus these spots aren’t for the “old” it’s for ppl with a disability tag and stop stealing ur mothers/family member tag there’s loads of people who truly needs these spots
Especially after parking in a handicapped spot when you weren’t supposed to
Journey With LuvHurts I’m also disabled (and I used to live in Miamisburg). It never ceases to amaze me how many people get so incredibly nasty to people with disabilities. I’m getting a service dog soon, and I have heard so many horror stories about people being enraged at the sight of a service dog, that I am actually a bit nervous about it...and that is a sad state of affairs to be in.
As someone who can't walk properly after two strokes, I applaud her housing for designating her the car space, whoever could be this mean has a special place in hell waiting just for them.

The fact that the person referenced her not having two legs in her cruel letter shows that she knows who she was taking the space from, which makes it all the worse. She knew her neighbor has one leg and lives on the second floor yet she still stole her spot, and left the note she did. What a vile waste of air.
Yeah I mean today you can easily buy a pair of legs in any prosthetic shop. But instead it decides to be a nuisance. What a hypocrite

And they will do it and do it quick. I truly mistakenly parked in a reserved spot...not handicapped.. The sign was hung at the left edge of the parking spot and I was looking at the entrance near the right. Well ...it was dec 27 2019.. My daughter came out to go to work and the car was gone. It cost $349.00 cash plus a $30.00 lyft and a call to work stating she is going to be late (she works at the Pentagon) I apologize soo much to my daughter and to the neighbor when she came home. The neighbor said her daughter called... Man..I wish we did have someone as nice as this young lady to have only put a note first.. I would have put a note on her car thanking her and left a gift card to dunkin donuts..haha
At my old apartment I had one parking spot in a parking garage and it was very small. My rent was very expensive and if you didn't make it in your spot you had to park across a 4 lane busy street. Someone kept parking in my spot or taking up the 2 spots by parking in the middle and I tried to get it towed multiple times. The towing company said I had to get it approved by my apartment company first and the apartment had to call them about he issue. It was always happen over a weekend or at night when the apartment office was closed. 🙃

Well the towing company my daughter's complex used had nononononono issues with removing my car and what really hurt was it was a couple days after Christmas ..money spent waiting on next paycheck.. Nevertheless..I mistakenly parked in the neighbor's reserved spot and got what I got..but your neighbors are just being mean and truly deserve to be towed. May Justice prevail..or Karma..which ever come first.

Why is it so hard to talk to someone? Why get the cops involved? Why waste resources? People need to grow up and become adults and learn how to handle any type of situation. The amputee did just that. She was being nice and giving her a chance, without getting anyone involved. Many people of a rare variety show mercy or kindness. I actually stopped a lady the other day and let her know that she forgot her placard (no disabled plate). She gave me a funny look and said "yes" and went on into the store. Made me so mad. (I didn't follow up with it because it was late at night, with probably 10 other dis. parking spots open, not to mention all the other parking, and the store was closing in about 10 mins.) Either way, still not right. Btw, I was driving a car with a placard, parked 3 spaces up from her,(farther away) because the placard belongs to a family member. That’s absolutely horrible. I’m handicapped but it’s invisible because I have a brain disease (MS). Sometimes you see me limp or having trouble walking it but most of the time I look okay. I once got a note on my car about how selfish I was because “The Handicapped spaces are just for handicapped people.” I was fuming 😡 and I went home and immediately wrote a response to this person ‘cause I knew who he was. I told him that my doctor issued me a placard because for a reason and perhaps I have an invisible handicap like a brain tumor or a heart condition. Don’t leave notes like that. You never know what’s going on in another person’s body. I really don’t want to compare myself to an amputee. I feel so awful for her and I’m glad she posted the letter on Facebook.
@@jujubee2141 I'm sorry you've gone though that! People can be truly awful. I had a failed spinal surgery and currently 4 herniated discs which cause daily pain. I've had people yell at me that I'm not old enough to need the disabled space even when I'm using my cane or walker. They said it should be for disabled elderly only! Just because I'm younger doesn't mean I'm not in pain, and some people just don't get that. I wish you good days ahead 💕
What happened after you wrote the note? Did they apologize? Or were they still acting like a jerk?
She was nice enough to just leave a stern note. She could’ve easily gotten that car towed. Maybe she should just tow it next time without any warning and let that rude neighbor walk both legs into the towing facility to retrieve her car.
or hired someone to take HER legs...
A tow and possibly a very very expensive fine on top of that.
Lost Coyote I parked at a gas station handicap spot went in for no more than 5 minutes and came back to a $200.00 fine 😐 I would’ve gotten her car towed for sure
@@RedForeman exactly and if you get towed that's a fine and paying to get your car out.
My mom was in an assisted care facility for a while for rehab after a stroke. There was a woman in the same facility (I don't know why she was in rehab) who had a caregiver who would come to visit every day. The patient had a Handicapped tag- thing for her car. The caregiver, who was not at all handicapped, would always park in a Handicapped spot. Yes the car had a tag, but the person whom the tag was for was not there. I put a sign on her windshield, in big dark letters, facing out so everyone could read it without any trouble. I wrote "I'm the driver of this vehicle and I'm not handicapped. I'm just an asshole."
I had a tag for using with my mom. I never used it if I didn't have my mom with me. I have a friend with a severely disabled child. She has a tag. She doesn't even always park in a Handicapped spot even when one is available.
Call the police, and have the car towed, no notes necessary.
My friend had this happen to her and her child. He has two prosthetic legs after having survived a severe illness. They went to Toys R Us, and there's handicap parking near their door where people come out after they make their purchases. One woman with NO handicap plates or placard was using it as her own, personal loading zone. When politely asked to move her car for a handicapped child, she told my friend to, "Let him walk." It just makes you want to cry how mean some supposed "humans" can be. Luckily, there was a policeman nearby.
For this young lady, I'd also recommend she maybe get a place on a ground floor. She can still press charges, I believe, against that horrid monster of a neighbor. Fines for parking there are hefty, too.
Total admiration for her overcoming the loss of her leg and the patience she showed when dealing with such a careless, self entitled idiot!

My husband is handicapped. We have our sticker in full display. I hate when non handicap ppl use our parking spaces. I am super proactive when it comes to the rights of these ppl! I am in your corner and I will fight for everyone’s rights.
Me and my mum nearly got into this argument with an elderly couple for “stealing a handicapped spot” the man came and knocked on the window and said that these spots and specifically designed for handicapped persons, my mum was saying she was just getting the plaquard as I don’t own a car myself and the man kept saying he didn’t believe her and his wife shouldn’t have to walk. I tell my mother I’m going to get out of the car. First thing I do is what I normally do, put my prosthetic shin and foot down and step into it until it clicks. When they saw that I had a prosthetic and we actually did have a placard they shut up about being elderly
@@fae206 thank you for being proactive. Love you! This is of utmost importance to me. I honestly would get into a physical fight to protect my husband’s rights! It’s almost come to that!
I know someone who recently got one. His doctor told him he's one of the very few patients he sees that asked for one and actually should have it.
@@janinelloyd7500 I don't drive so I have a placard that hangs off the mirror so that I can use it in whichever car that I'm riding in. My physician told me that people often abuse them and she had refused them so much that she accidentally started off giving me a temporary one but when I told her I needed a permanent one as my foot wasn't going to magically grow back, she apologized and said she usually has to give people the red temporary one instead of the blue permanent one
I honestly never notice anyone in handicapped spot without the sticker or the plates. Maybe people in my area are just better in that way. I do check often, because I used to need the spots, but now that I don't I still look.

How rude of that woman to be so callous.
I could ALMOST see it if the neighbor didn't know that this woman was handicapped (or didn't perceive any visible handicap) -- though, to be clear, that wouldn't excuse her behavior at ALL -- but the fact that she KNOWS that this woman only has one leg, and then goes on to make jokes about that fact....that's just mind-blowing that someone could do that.

See, where I'm from....we have laws. And the laws state if you park in a handicap spot without the proper authorization; you're violating the law. Sometimes, even in private parking lots where property management has to call to legally have a car towed; handicap spots are exempt and have the non-emergency police number so you can call them directly.
Car gets impounded...illegal parker also gets a $1000 fine. They can't get the car back until they pay it; and the impound fees for this start at $500.
There should have never been a second note. It should have been right to the impound lot.
The toughest woman I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing, lost her leg in an automobile accident that she alone was the sole survivor of five others. Having two prosthetics myself, I fully understand how she feels, but even in these times, there are so many scumbags out there that think they can bully someone with a handicap, especially a woman who feels lost without a leg.... the little things that we take for granted that she can never have again.... like wearing heels or dancing.... worst especially for an above the knee amputee. God bless this woman, and may God keep that bully from the grip of my hands, cuz mercy isn’t on my list of things I have to offer thatPOS

Still it’s illegal for the other lady to park in it, she wrong for that. Now it is not harassment. By definition harassment is aggressive pressure or intimidation. She was never aggressive but she was stern and never threatened so there was no intimidation. She told her she would report her. For something to be a threat it must be a hostile action that was said will be done to the person receiving the threat but reporting someone to the owners of the place is not hostile.
