I like the clues relating to Atlantis in the opening cutscene. In the upper attic, the statue in front of the pillar in the foreground appears to be Atlantean. In the lower attic, the skull at the far left of the screen on the middle shelf is clearly one of the deformed Atlantean skulls. The game had an eye for detail like all LucasArts games. And also, I suppose, as a game about an archaeologist should :)
I was stuck in Crete for the longest time. it took me like 10 years to figure it out. I felt like Tom hanks on Big when he figured out his game. Epic game!!!!!
I was stuck in crete... inside the labyrinth. Stay there for years... spent hours trying to figure it out. Now im here watching this to find out how its done.
After 20 years I finally realize this game had voices. The last time I played it was about 10 years ago, I couldn't make the emulated sound drivers work.
The hardest parts of this game in terms of critical thinking and problem solving for a kid. 1. pushing Sophia for the knife 2. noticing that you can whip the third statue in the labyrinth 3. using the stone rock cup (not the clay jar nor the green portion mug) in sequence with the fish head to collect the lava to fabricate orichalcum beads 4. being in the swamp to open the large double door to enter central atlantis 5. the sentry statue ring part to pull the door open 6. Never figured out which combinations really started or stopped the hulking machine 7. How to save Sophia from Nur-ab-Sal possession by grabbing her hot necklace into gold box 8. saving your ass by not going to shoot 100 beads through the works!! Great times though. Really good memories.
The hulking machine starts rotating with the combination written into the floor in the lower left corner. See 2:49:05. Central slot central position and right slot lower position.
The puzzle where you need to trade with Omar and then the Grocer for the squab always struck me as poorly written. It takes forever to get any information about what the Grocer wants ("Yellow is my favorite color!" "I don't accept gifts for myself") and then only occasionally does Indy have the dialog option to narrow down Omar's suggestions. (One playthrough I had, Indy was able to tell Omar that he'd like something red.) The whole thing is a hassle and very obtuse. On the whole though, I absolutely love this game. One of my favorites from the LucasArts days. :) Thanks for the upload.
My god, you are right! I mean, you are WRONG! One of my very first memories is playing The legend of Kyrandia as a kid, and being mesmerized by the water animation in pixel art. Since I lost track of that game right after, I've been living many years of my life in the conviction that I would never be able to breach into that world again and explore its secrets. This lasted about up to the time when TH-cam was invented, and I was able to rescue that experience through walkthrough. Until then, that pixel art cascade in Fate of Atlantis was my only key to the memory of that world. So yeah, this story may be over now but it's still thrilling to share it with a complete stranger on the web. And sorry if I have a weird mind
Or, for instance, the parrot in the Tikal scene. At first, it will give any reply that rhymes if you ask it something. At that point, you don't know the parrot actually can give you the title of Plato's lost work. "Twenty two skidoo?" -"And Tyler too!" Or when they get to the Azores, Indy tries repeatedly but fruitlessly to barter with antiques guy. Of course he's a dirty old man because that's why you have Sophia do the talking!
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull or this........I'll pick this gem any second of the year!!! Love it :):):) Edit - How the hell did this not get made into a movie!!!!!!????
Best time to have made this was in the early 90s, when Harrison Ford could still play the role. But at the time he did not want to play the role any more, I think he felt typecast by it and wanted to explore different roles. So it would have been best if Last Crusade had remained the last movie adventure.
I've always loved these classic point-and-click games. Here's hoping AGD and Crystal Shard's work makes some waves in the market. On a side note, the way you run away from and lured in the sub captain? You get more points if you fight him straight up...if you can even call it a fight. One punch, and down he goes.
Hi.. just amazing. I just realised as well tha the game have VOICES!!!!!... are you using any emulator like DOSBox or something? Im trying to play this game again fully, but no sound of the voices at all. Can you tell us if you used any emulator and what configuration did you use; and also the rom that you use?
Nicolas Gonzalez @ Gonzalez There is a "talky"- version of this and a mute one. Back in 1993 they released the dubversion after the huge success of the game.
8 years later - The combination for the machine is not in Plato's Lost Dialogue. Instead, it's depicted on the wall in the previous room, with the stair/doorway maze and the lava, and it's different at each playthrough. See 2:52:18. Only a few symbols are intelligible, but they're enough.
The game has 3 paths but for me this is the good one and better one, includes better puzzles, its funnier and indy and Sophia have good chemistry. I must say that the other 2 are very poor, practically no puzzles and boring with indy playing solo
Should have been the story of the fourth film. If there ever was a fourth Indi Movie. But there isn't. Definately not. No need to try to tell me. I'm not listening [fingers in ears] La la la laaaaah, la la la, la la la Laaaaah, laah laah LA! LA! LA!
Old post, but still. The music in this game was MIDI. Depending on the soundcard it would have different output of the synthesizes. For me, this is exactly the music I had when I played it.
Thanks for uploading the whole play. I really enjoyed and was reminded of childhood memory!
@Burr Anderson not all people were born the same year
God, I enjoyed the banter and general silliness in this game when I was a kid, that's the whole reason I loved the team path.
Indiana Jones and the Mysteriously Important Squab On A Stick
ZorotheGallade SQUAAAB! ^^ :D

Lol
Only 20
Dinars! 😂
I'm 39 years old now! I enjoyed this game so much when I was a teenager!!!
I like the clues relating to Atlantis in the opening cutscene. In the upper attic, the statue in front of the pillar in the foreground appears to be Atlantean. In the lower attic, the skull at the far left of the screen on the middle shelf is clearly one of the deformed Atlantean skulls.

high dose of childhood memories.
amazing game !
My sister and I are still amused, decades later, by Indy’s surprisingly angry reaction to a perfectly fitting spark plug in 1:26:20.
XD Thank you!! Hahaha!
The Music and the Background Images, made this Game one of the best Adventure games :) Team path is for me the best :)
The fake Nur-Al-Sab is scarier than the real one, by far.
I was stuck in Crete for the longest time. it took me like 10 years to figure it out. I felt like Tom hanks on Big when he figured out his game. Epic game!!!!!
lol then your are stupid, even more stupid than me!(i took me 9.999 years to figure it out D;)
I was stuck in crete... inside the labyrinth. Stay there for years... spent hours trying to figure it out. Now im here watching this to find out how its done.
I'm still stock there, the stones don't move and i can't put the surveyor's instrument on it...
@@smartyyone2000 It's different stones each time.
Ahhhh one of my favorite games from back in the 90s. Loved Lucas Arts games.
it always amazed me how useful Ship Ribs were, always wanted one as a kid because of this game
”Use rib to a wall.” Yup, none shall pass this game; not without a lavish walk-through-guide.
After 20 years I finally realize this game had voices. The last time I played it was about 10 years ago, I couldn't make the emulated sound drivers work.
the original game had no voices. This is a re-edition. They did the same with the Monkey Island games.
afaik, the floppy disk version has no voice; the cd-rom version has.
The funny about the walkthrough is they last 2hs.........but to finish this games you needed 60hs to figure out all the puzzles first.
That's what made it so great!
Not to mention how the maze of Atlantis got randomized literally EVERY playthrough.
Back before TH-cam and walkthroughs games like this would drive me crazy. I'd always give up and go back to shooting games.
That moment when you realize this is the last we ever saw of Marcus Brody...
The Juicing of the Cactus I hear he got lost in his own museum.
Al-Jabber is kind of like Salah from "Raiders" and "Crusade".
man this brings me back, loved this game. the u-boat part was always a personal favorite when i was a kid
oh my goodness, after walking in on the sailors once that whole part stressed me out so bad!
This takes me back.
crazy good game, still one of my favourite games of all time.
The hardest parts of this game in terms of critical thinking and problem solving for a kid.

Trottier is the hardest boss in this game (except on "Fists" path where he simply brings you a card).
The hulking machine starts rotating with the combination written into the floor in the lower left corner. See 2:49:05. Central slot central position and right slot lower position.
I noticed a glitch, Kerner says "Dr. Ubermann", but then the text says "Fritz", kind of confusing.
Yep the amount of time I spent trying to find what the grocer wants. Back and forward from the antiques shop to the stall.......
Like Herman Toothrot explaining what color he was on Dinky Island. Must be same writer.... limitations of text gaming...
1:41:18 am I the only one who ✨loves✨ that water animation? yes? okay.
My god, you are right! I mean, you are WRONG!

Yeah 256 color made a world of difference, it was mindblowing to see these graphics back then and it still looks pretty good today
The year is 2020, and i discover only now that there was voice acting for this game. I always played it without sound.
oh no, you poor thing 💔
I was stuck at the Crete dig sight for months on end as a kid!
SAME
1:43:46 played this as a kid. now, as an adult, I say “oof, ahh, ouch” like this almost daily. almost forgot where it came from!
Or, for instance, the parrot in the Tikal scene.
At first, it will give any reply that rhymes if you ask it something. At that point, you don't know the parrot actually can give you the title of Plato's lost work.
"Twenty two skidoo?" -"And Tyler too!"
Or when they get to the Azores, Indy tries repeatedly but fruitlessly to barter with antiques guy. Of course he's a dirty old man because that's why you have Sophia do the talking!
If you were to look at Indy as Sophia, she'll say "There's nothing to look at" using Indy's voice.
How come he fell under the bookshelf and crashed through the floor, but none of the books fell from the opening? Magic!
In this game you can dump Sophia so many times.....in her appartment......in the dungeons.......next to the lava pool........
Wow, when Indy was @ the digsite they had a "Raiders" reference.
Oh the memories.....This game made me buy a pc 386 SX25 love this Adventure.
I spy with my little eye.. ..sombody’s been to Knossos..
Lol, in "Crusade" Jones said "X never marks the spot"! Well, in the movie the library proved him wrong, as well the ruins of Crete.
LOL! Indy's such a klutz in this game.
amazing game!

I hope a remaster will be made. A fan group had formed for the job, but after a promising start, Lucasarts shut it down.
I see some guybrush in jones. great game
48:25, follow after Sophia into the room, take the flashlight out of the cupboard, turn off the breaker and use the flashlight
45:02
Oh sure, leave the door wide open why don't you.
thank you for the great adventure, indy movies are the best
I fucking loved this game!

I used to play this. couldn't get out of indy's room
BlindSide o0 go look for the dialogue of Plato. It's in the college someheere
To create- draw the sceneries, background art , of a graphic adventure, which program do I need to use?
Flight of the Amazon Queen also has a baseball signed by L.G as an item.
I'm glad you are playing the floppy disk version the cd-rom version must have had hotrible voice acting
I played the cd rom version and it sounded exactly like this
Notice that in Algiers we have:
- Kareem (hot air balloon guy)
- Abdul (Al-Jabbar's servant)
- Jabbar
Coincidence? I think not!
i’d *r e a l l y* like to explore the temple
thanks for the upload
can you make a cut where after 1:42 it waits for 2 secs and shows the game over screen? :D
hahaha nice
Classic!

I think he's using ScummVM. This same version is on Steam, though. You DO have to pay for it, however.
Nicolas Gonzalez @ Gonzalez There is a "talky"- version of this and a mute one. Back in 1993 they released the dubversion after the huge success of the game.
Quarantine times
loved this game
memories!
Back when infinite free flights were a thing and everyone spoke English. World War 2 messed things up. The World of Yesterday, indeed.
Why does he fall the whole damn introduction
Cuz it's awesome that way
The absolutely pinnacle of over-ganeralization.. eh?
When I played the game, it didn't have voices. Probably because you are playing a different version of the game
+melted_agent Gaming They made an enhanced edition with voices.
Oh XD, I played the first version of this game, its fun :D
2:56:15 this combination doesn't work. Also, why this combination? - this isn't "well aligned".
2:51:19 Look at the wall art at the top right. This is a diagram explaining how to align the stones in the final sequence.
I say that the properties of Oil are still better than Orichalcum.
Oil isn´t renewable, and can´t transform nazis into satyrs. With Orichalcum all you need is lava. easy peasy
can i run this game with a 1080 nvidia gf? or do i need a better GPU? will i get 60fps? ty for fast answer!
thank you!!!!!
Great
lol no one misses the submarine captain
Nice GAME!

thanks for doing this but it'd be much better if you did all the dialogue choices during questioning

Oh, I was enjoying this--then the racism. Boo on this....
Vitamin D ... xD It's an Indiana Jones game with Nazis, what were you expecting?
