His two covers, both this one and Somewhere over the Rainbow, have a really special and unique place in music in that they are pretty much universally loved by everyone. Regardless of what kind of music you're into, everyone loves these songs. I've never met anyone who doesn't like them and everyone feels good listening to them. There aren't a lot of songs that have that "something special" about them that can pull that off.

The Polynesian people do have a loving, welcoming peacefulness about them and it’s on full display with their musicians like IZ and Iam Tongi, but you need to go way back and listen to their first mainstream pop musician and check out the great Don Ho who came on the scene in 1959 and performed until his death in 2007 at the age of 76. The songs Tiny Bubbles and Pearly Shells will definitely give you vibes beyond “feel good.” (If you pick the medley version you get both great songs in one performance)
