    Like you say it's quality not quantity, not bad at all.All the very best Terry 👌

      Not really sure that I really want to eat potatoes that have been laced with fertilisers just to improve the Quantity Joyce.

      Richard it would be interesting if that potato won one of their designs and come with batteries.....lol.

    Considering it has been so dry your Potatoes are great Terry. Its so hot, I'm amazed you have any blight at all there. Almost 2 and a half pounds of spuds from 2 seed potatoes, with no purchased fertiliser, is something to whoop up about. Brilliant. And that odd one looks like a thumbs up to me, so thumbs up!

    • @terrykingsallotmentgardening
      @terrykingsallotmentgardening  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It may not be blight but we just assume it is, hopefully it will not get me in a big way this year. It does prove that you don't have to put loads of fertilisers in to get a quality crop out.

    Hi Terry, great harvest from one pot 😊. Very inspiring that all it cost you was the seed potato. Happy gardening 😊👍

      Hello Bethan, once I find a good first early then I won't have to buy any seed potatoes again, take care my friend.

    Thank you for sharing your potato reveal. Always enjoy them. The heat is now coming this way. We are under heat advisory until Tuesday evening. Temps will be in the upper 90's, with the heat index being about 105 degrees F. Have a lovely weekend! Catherine

      Hopefully we will get some rain soon, but its looking very unlikely for some time now. Most plants are established so they will have to go without and I have filmed 3 vids today and the last one will be up Monday which explains why I harvested what I did.

    Hey Terry, it's a nice new potato haul. Lots of little tastys. :O) Seems like lots of folks aren't maxing their grows this year including me. All the best.

      Hello Brent, will have to wait and see if there are any small potatoes in the last container, but these are a good size for me. If I can get a good crop by using my saved seed at no cost that will suit me down to the ground.
      🌱Happy Gardening my friend, Terry.

    • @C3Voyage
      @C3Voyage 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agreed. Same boat here. Been using my own seed for a few years now. I did just order 3 other varieties common for us. If that works out, I'll save them too. All good Mr. Terry.

    Hiya Terry 🙋 I think I have blight started on my Desiree Terry 😫, doing same as you and watching the stems...thunder and rain Monday/Wednesday and hot and humid here so I’m not holding out much hope but worried about my toms...☹️ lovely update and a smashing haul, Bon appetite 👍😁...hugs x

    • @terrykingsallotmentgardening
      @terrykingsallotmentgardening  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Clarice, I haven't sprayed for blight this year and the weather here is hot but not too humid. I also don't what my tomatoes spoiled by blight, fingers crossed.

    • @terrykingsallotmentgardening
      @terrykingsallotmentgardening  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I did have a comment about the Cotswold chipping dust and that may have not helped, but a decent crop without the added blood fish and bone.

    I have to say I am shocked and happy to see you get such a good crop. I will have to try this next year. I didn't know potatoes would grow together like that. I would have expected that more so in your bucket of stones lol.👍

    • @terrykingsallotmentgardening
      @terrykingsallotmentgardening  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They were a funny shape and it will be interesting to see if anymore are like this in the last 2 containers. The ones in the bucket of stones will probably be perfectly round.....lol.

    That's for the wife, ROTFL!!! That's a nice harvest of spuds, I'd be happy with that! Quick unrelated question for you as I saw your comfrey flowering behind you. When flowering, can it still be put on the compost pile or do I need to worry about seeds being viable? I have tea being made and will ferment some as well, but I have so much I want to kick start my compost pile. Thanks Terry, have a great weekend:)

    • @terrykingsallotmentgardening
      @terrykingsallotmentgardening  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Ryan, I put everything in and as long as the flowers haven't any seeds formed then I don't see any issues, going to get a couple of bags of Comfrey for my bin tomorrow and I will be using the leaves for my Comfrey pipe.
      🌱Happy Gardening my friend, Terry.

    Great reveal Terry! What's wrong with Cotswold chipping dust? Full of mineral nutrients!
    Steve

    • @terrykingsallotmentgardening
      @terrykingsallotmentgardening  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Steve, had a comment about it being lime based which wouldn't be great in high quantities, your thoughts please? Definitely will use it in the crop rotation where I normally use lime.

    You threw one beyond the bag at 3:50 did you find it? I wonder if it will bury itself in the wood chip path and grow. If it does, please will you keep it and call it Poo's Potato? lol Great reveal, lovely spuds! Take care, Poo
