I get it's a cool thing to meme, but I feel as much as JJK is heavily invested in it's action being able to feel legitimately cheated at a character's death is fantastic. Death fundamentally isn't fair or pleasant, it's an eternal denial of closure. For a manga that generally doesn't invest much into downtime that is a pretty awesome thing.
Honestly I’m glad gege didn’t stick with the classic tournament arc style, instead of a 1v1 style tournament it was more so a battle royal which I felt was different and jujutsu kaisen really excels at not being your typical shonen
And it’s for this exact reason people claim to hate it or say it sucks as anime. Cause their favourite character isn’t being saved by the power of friendship…I love it
I actually don't mind the Mc being the underdog for once. It refreshing to see an Mc having stakes and side character growing. All Shonen mainly focuses on the Mc and they win most battles. So seeing Yuji fight and grow from battles is cool. Which is why Yuji is my favorite character

The story straight up abandoned Yuji during the Culling Games. Compared to how laser focused the story had been on Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi, and their growth, it felt like the current arc was written by someone totally different

I feel like he's going to become an absolute demon in order to finally finish Sukuna. We'll see though. Gege is definitely subverting expectations and he might think the whole "MC gets one final powerup and is the strongest of all to finish the villain" is to cliche and expected and go a different route.
A lot of the things Gege regrets doing are things that I like about the series. Stuff like detailed landscapes and the culling games not being in a tournament style, gives the series a form of realism that other shonen don’t have (at least from what I’ve seen)
Gege is my favourite new gen author. He doesn't give a damn about fans and creates a successful series while trolling simps and also giving them lesson about never getting attached to fictional characters.

I love that response to Mei Mei's survival. She is absolutely a selfish bitch who preys on her own brother, but following the etho's of the manga is selfish and true to herself. So it's hilarious that she is one of 4 people Todo emphatically respects (because he's an absolute tool to people he doesn't.), is the only other grade 1 who survives Shiybuua completely unharmed, and likely will be the only character in the entire culling games to truly prosper. Mark my words, Mei Mei will be the only character who walks away from this manga being completely unharmed, because she only ever acted for her own gains. XD

About Yuji's free will to eat the finger. There was a part in he culling games where it sounded like Yuji was manipulated into eating the finger and Megumi was trying to make sense of it saying that he saw Yuji eat the finger of his own free will. I can't remember the chapter but it kind of sounded like Yuji was coersed into eating the finger
There are theories out there that Geto's adopted blonde girl can manipulate people using her technique by taking pictures or something. Two girls who look eerily similar to Geto's where present among the crowd watching Yuji and his PE teacher compete in shotput in the very first chapter of JJK.
The reason why he is included in the culling games despite eating it freely, is because there is already a finger inside of him before that. Sukuna explained it after Yuji's awakening, to ensure his strength as a vessel, he was born with a finger inside of him.
Megumi is pretty much Sasuke without the plot armor. Sasuke would have died several times in naruto without something convenient protecting him. Megumi doesn't get that luxury and it shows.

Gojo’s volume cover was meant as a sort of “funeral portrait” for Satoru Gojo. However, this is actually an act of misdirection and meant to lead us away from the reality. Two things to take note off: 1. In this supposed “funeral portrait” the Camelia flower has a large presence surrounding Gojo. This is another example of Gege’s foreshadowing (much like the eyes and six steps theory) Gojo’s revival. Camelia flowers symbolize many things, but notably, they symbolize self-reflection, inner strength, and humility. Pay attention to that last one. 2. Gege is a master of misdirection. A funeral implies death, but it does not imply a lack of revival. The foreshadowing we constantly got post 236 must amount to something. This is in no way a confirmation of Gojo being dead. This is another step in the direction of his revival. So overall, the foreshadowing previously around revival alongside the focus on humility and self-reflection mean Gojo is returning. He will self-reflect in the afterlife before learning humility and returning to finish the job.
I think you're reading the part about Nanami's death wrong. It seems like he's saying that he didn't want to kill him off in Shibuya but he had to do it due to how Itadori's story progressed. The way that's worded and him mentioning Yuji showing up means it's referring to Shibuya not the fight they had really early on as Yuji didn't show up during or after that fight.

The reason why he is included in the culling games despite eating it freely, is because there is already a finger inside of him before that. Sukuna explained it after Yuji's awakening, to ensure his strength as a vessel, he was born with a finger inside of him.

So Gege admits that there is no real MC with a story in JJK and he admits it was a mistake that our boy Yuji has no story and will be useless as usual until the end of the story. That breaks my heart 😢
Gojo’s volume cover was meant as a sort of “funeral portrait” for Satoru Gojo. However, this is actually an act of misdirection and meant to lead us away from the reality.
Two things to take note off:
1. In this supposed “funeral portrait” the Camelia flower has a large presence surrounding Gojo. This is another example of Gege’s foreshadowing (much like the eyes and six steps theory) Gojo’s revival. Camelia flowers symbolize many things, but notably, they symbolize self-reflection, inner strength, and humility. Pay attention to that last one.
2. Gege is a master of misdirection. A funeral implies death, but it does not imply a lack of revival. The foreshadowing we constantly got post 236 must amount to something. This is in no way a confirmation of Gojo being dead. This is another step in the direction of his revival.
So overall, the foreshadowing previously around revival alongside the focus on humility and self-reflection mean Gojo is returning. He will self-reflect in the afterlife before learning humility and returning to finish the job.
I think you're reading the part about Nanami's death wrong. It seems like he's saying that he didn't want to kill him off in Shibuya but he had to do it due to how Itadori's story progressed. The way that's worded and him mentioning Yuji showing up means it's referring to Shibuya not the fight they had really early on as Yuji didn't show up during or after that fight.
