This man is speaking FACTS!!! when Jordan Brand went away from OG colors in the early 2000s people were not feeling them AT ALL!!! shit I can remember when the jordan 9s came out when MJ retired and people werent feeling them because at that time people did not believe he was coming back and a lot of people moved on to other shoes. whats crazy is how these shoes sell out with such shitty craftsmanship!!!

Love this. Back In 2006 this was the first shoe I had to wait in line for. Granted it was only for an hour, but still my first one.
My favorite thing of these was how they got the moniker of “Cool Grey” while the color code is actually “Silver” & “Light Graphite” on the original release, made it a cousin of the cool grey family to me.
I always feel better after watching weartesters.

Just got mine via raffle. Got to admit, wasn't a fan of it initially and not a cool grey fan in general. However, it's growing on me, the superb quality considering its nubuck leather. Maybe its the elephant print being grey so cool grey makes more blend and sense. Thanks for your review videos, always watch before purchases! Cheers and stay safe!

I got my cool greys in today and I literally have two different pairs of shoes, the suede/leather that they used is so inconsistent
I literally got the same pair as you, one is super tumbled and the other shoe is super smooth, I agree with you, they both look really good, they just aren't the same lol

Cool grey 3’s were indeed a Lifestyle release, I have a few tees from the first release. Sucks that have two different textures on your shoe, similar to my playoff 12’s from 2001.

I believe the reason why they don’t make the polyurethane coloured is the same reason why Boost is wrapped not painted.
Apparently it would change the chemical compound of the material, therefore changing its properties, likely for the the worse.

I believe the current outsoles are tinted light blue is because of the UV-protection which should prevent it from yellowing over time. UV is actually a killer for most materials especially plastics but I don't exactly know if PU can be "UV-protected" or colored as well. PU-insoles tend to be white with a print or glued lining over it so they can at least color the PU white. Allthough I can imagine with all the different color variations and cheap labour costs in China & Vietnam it would be way cheaper for the brands to manufacture all the outsoles in the PU's natural color and then paint over them. Paint itself can be UV-protected these days so you get two strikes in a row.
Thank goodness these are releasing. I have a pair of the ‘07 and they look the part...

I know your question was not aimed at me, but I just wanted to let you know I agree. I'm over Nike and JB. Moved on to New Balance, Adidas ( the new Forum 84 line is CRAZY good!), and some other "non hype" stuff, and am now enjoying sneakers again. Even if I do have to pay resell, it's typically not a crazy price, and the quality is always on point. I don't miss the headaches, and there are so many other good shoes out there it's a good time to be into shoes.

It’s the new bandwagon culture that ruined sneaker culture. Resellers and hypebeast have drastically saturated the market. It’s probably more fake sneakerheads and resellers than actual genuine sneaker lovers. People that don’t even know anything about MJ, Tinker Hatfield, or sneaker history, claim the AJ1 is their favorite shoe, after never having a pair before the hype. Then there are more resellers with bots than there ever was, they’re literally a parasite to the community in every way. Simply buying shoes that they know others want, so people can’t have them. It really ruined the game; too many corny suburban kids entered the game all at once and took over and ruined it.
Darnay Blue agree, but what really makes me mad with Nike and JB is that the whole bot game is easily nullified, yet they refuse to put any programs in place to protect the consumer. I don’t know what they would gain by allowing bots to overrun their sites, but they do time and time again. If you were a conspiracy theorist, you could prob come up with some crazy situations where Nike/JB and resellers collaborating in the aftermarket would actually make a lot of sense. Anyway, I just had to move on. I think we will see a day where there is a backlash in trends, and anyone wearing a Travis Scott Jordan 1 or equal will basically be made fun of....
That clear/solid rubber thing is also on the Zoom Flight 96, clear rubber with a thin layer of paint on the traction that goes away pretty quickly.

With normal "from the factory" defects, they may become worth more as time passes. Some defects become very rare.

If I remember correctly, I think you mentioned in a video way back that they couldn’t dye eTPU (Boost) pellets because it messes with the chemical composition or the integrity of the material? I would assume PU mid soles are the same way. Also, good job on explaining tinting rubber, did not know that’s how they did it.
