    Ive had 6 of these,from a bone stock mint black twin in 2005 to my current 10 year red single(gt35r streetport) and i love it.they are at their best standard or on a small single,i had mine on a t88 and bridgeport for a year and hated it.

    The RX7 was a great car and they do rev high. If you like that type of car, check out a 2002 Honda S2000 (AP1) they rev to 9k. It is made for smaller people, but once behind the wheel and with the great build quality I guarantee you will want one. I have one and a 94 Vette and like them both

    • @DuBstep115
      @DuBstep115 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only difference is C4 vette can be bought with change you get from 20 bucks after buying a six pack. RX7 costs like 10k when it's broken down and 30k when in ok condition. Mint ones are like 50k, useless car in 2020 because of the price imo.

      @@DuBstep115 Late to the party, but you can certainly find a decent one in the $20k's. $50k going rate will never happen for an FD... Unless it's a late model RZ or Spirit R. As an owner, I wish that was true.

    I believe the turbos are the same between the US spec and JDM spec. People usually go with the 1999 JDM FD twin turbos as an upgrade for the later models.

  • @7sins979
    @7sins979 ปีที่แล้ว

    Usdm and jdm turbos are the same. The series 8 rx7 in japan came with a set of larger turbos for the rs and higher trim levels. That is 1998 to 2002.

    Great video and a good review. However the sequential turbo does not consit of a smaller and larger turbo. Both are actually the same size, just all the exhaust is only routed through one turbo until about 4000 rpm when the other comes online utilizing both turbos. Its that system in these cars that makes the rats nest of vaccun lines a necessity to function.

    Also literally every non American car from 90s revs to 8000 rpm that's nothing special, most civics and few toyotas go well beyond to 8450rpm. Lots of small cars like abarth or bmws e46 even a few saloon cars have over 8k rev limits.
