Could you elaborate on what the consequences of having non compete VS not having it are? I don't have a good understanding of the US Healthcare systems so I feel like I'm missing quite a few pieces of context
A noncompete will say something like “if you work here and leave, you agree you cannot work anywhere else nearby and/or you can’t ‘take your patients’ if you leave” The consequence is typically a provider who’s unhappy where they are leaves and starts working elsewhere, and patients are left unable to keep seeing the provider they liked, even if they could still make the commute and pay (eg, insurance still works at new location).
@@drjosh Oh okay! I had no idea non-competes could be that pervasive, I only thought they limited what you could do while you are actively working somewhere
